Couldn't be happier. Pleasant sales people with no pressure. I got to test drive it on my own. I…read morelove my new golf cart.

We purchased a new 2025 Evolution D5 Max from Hartville Golf Carts on June 30, 2025. During the…read moresales process, our salesman, John, told us that if we referred customers who ultimately purchased a cart, we would receive a complimentary cover. We referred multiple people who did, in fact, purchase carts, yet that promise was never honored. At the time of purchase, we also received a thank-you letter emphasizing Hartville Golf Carts' commitment to exceptional quality and customer service. Unfortunately, our experience after the sale has been the opposite. On July 14, 2026, our golf cart suddenly lost power to the monitor, sound system, speakers, turn signals, horn, and lights. We contacted Hartville Golf Carts and were told to bring it in so they could evaluate the issue. We delivered the cart on July 16 and were told they would look at it by Monday. When we called Tuesday for an update and left a message, we later received a call from the office stating they likely would not get to it until Friday. No explanation, no apology, and no sense of urgency. My husband then called our salesman to express his frustration. Rather than showing concern, the first response was, "I thought you said you'd be on vacation." Yes, he was on vacation--at our campground, where we would have liked to be using the golf cart we purchased just over a year ago. What has been most disappointing throughout this process is the lack of customer care and communication. We understand that repairs take time, parts may be delayed, and service departments get busy. What we expected was some empathy, communication, and ownership of the situation. Instead, when we dropped off the cart, we were immediately asked to sign paperwork acknowledging a $130/hour labor rate because diagnosis is not covered under warranty. Again, there was no discussion of the issue, no reassurance, and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience--just paperwork and attitude. A company's true customer service is measured after the sale, when problems arise. Based on our experience, Hartville Golf Carts has not lived up to the promises made during the buying process, and we cannot recommend them to others considering a golf cart purchase.

Did I want to sink $1400 into batteries, and would that solve the problem? So, I began researching various gas models and dealerships. I did not want to go the route of private owner because I didn't want to buy someone else's problem. Power Equipment Solutions has competitive prices for used golf carts. The one we wanted was sold while we were getting more information. But they offered us the same model, 2 years newer, and were willing to paint it the same color as the sold model at no extra charge. Well, can you paint it Steeler Yellow instead? Yep... Would you like a black roof and black seats to keep with the Steeler theme? Yep. That add on only cost $500 more. After all, it is my big present for our 25th anniversary. We had to wait about a month while the Springfield company did everything. Then Jeff had it delivered to Plain City so that the store could check it over themselves. Well it was delivered today, and I LOVE IT. Looks brand new, and came with a half a tank of gas. If you need a golf cart, come here. Top service, reasonable prices.
