I tried this place for a powder dip manicure. They supposedly take walk-ins but for an evening I made an appointment. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning because the guy up front said they have any color that's in the bottles as a dip; then the technician started to say "oh, we don't have that" but it turned out it was a newer one. Q did a good job with my nails, quick and efficient but not cutting corners on the service. I got the shape and length I asked for. This space is pretty tight and it was busy in the evening so if you are concerned about crowds perhaps book at another time if possible. Pros: fast service, lots of employees so they can fit you in quickly, do a very good job doing thin dip nails that last a good 2 weeks. Wide variety of nail colors. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the interior because of how many people there were. I loved this salon though and it will 100% become my new regular place. I called only a day in advance and I was still able to get an appointment for Gel X nails at a decently early time (11am.) Looking around, everyone was comfortable and having conversations with their nail artist. I believe they had 20 nail stations but despite how "crowded" it was, the space never got too loud or stuffy. The nails I got in the picture below cost me $120 without tips which seems pricey but I believe the price is fair considering the design and the fact that it is gel x, and not acrylic! read more

I see there's a lot of negative reviews on here, however I have had nothing but positive experiences and good things to say about Glo Nails! I have only gotten pedicures, as I get my nails done somewhere else regularly, so my review is based on that. Whenever walking in, I'm greeted promptly, by someone who seems happy to be here. The most recent time, David was working who is exceptionally friendly. I find often times when getting pedicures, the water is never hot enough. Not here! Along with the hot towels--they're actually hot. Danny did a lovely job on my toes and made good conversation. The massage part actually felt like he was doing something instead of just a foot rub. The salon is clean, and they have an extensive list of pedicure options, so everyone can find the right one for them. I got the calming chamomile one, which had a lemon ginger salt scrub, and a chamomile and ginger soak. My feet and legs are very soft and my toes are well shaped and painted. Prices are fair. I got my nails done on a friday and by Saturday they were chipping. They looked good. We went back and asked them if they could do it again and fix the chipped nails and they did but they did a horrible job. I was doing french tips and I asked if the line could be thinner and they said yes and they would fix it when they were filling the nails and they didn't fix it at all. One of the nails they fixed looked very bad because the line was way thinner than any of the other ones. There was also one nail that had blue all over it. The nail tech was lazy and used the dremel to remove my no chip, which basically means he filed off some of my nail as well. Now my previously strong nails are weak and bendy. I had to cut them down and it may be a couple months before I can grow that part out and get back to where I was before. I only came here because I couldn't get into my regular salon. I won't be back. You can tell this was built to be a nice salon and it's not that old, but they have let it go downhill. It's a mess and not sure things are even sanitary. I have been coming here for about year and I can't believe how much the customer service has declined. They weren't always very nice but they get it done. And I work nearby. The owner David just doesn't care. It's like he's checked out. Last month the nail tech I had was so rude. She got upset because I was taking a few minutes to decide what color. She was the one who introduced a new product to me! She was so aggressive rushing through cutting me. It was horrible. Owner did nothing. Basically said too bad to me. I changed to another tech (why didn't I just leave) and she must have just learned nails. It was awful, uneven. Barely shaped my nails. I'm not sure when they stopped caring about their customers. It seems every time I go to this salon I notice that the way they treat the people of color is very different from how they treat the clearly "affluent" white people. I have received attitude for asking for a design, my arm and hand have been aggressively tugged on, and I rarely am greeted when I walk into the salon. I also find that each time I have received services, the price is different every time. I will not be returning after spending so much money at this establishment. read more

I picked the theme of lemons due to my bachelorette party being she found her main squeeze. Came to Glo nail Lounge for the first time recently for dip powder. I really wanted to like this place as it is close to where I live and it has great google reviews. I should of checked yelp because google is notorious for fake reviews and if this salon does anything well it is fake their reviews. The entire experience here was a disaster, the man who did my nails was extremely rushed, tries skipping steps, I had to ask him to shape my nails and when he did, he botched my nail shape (I asked for almond and he gave me some sort of scraggly looking oval) on top of that he left so much residue due to not properly (or evenly) buffing and shaping the powder before applying top coat. I also just had one finger chip, less than 2 weeks later!! This application of dip powder was a complete joke! I am so happy I started going to Glo Nail Lounge! Since moving back to Naperville a couple years ago, I've bounced around to different nail salons looking for one I really enjoyed. I loved where I went in Aurora before moving, but it's just not convenient for me to head out of my way over there anymore. Finally, about six months ago I decided to give Glo a try based on a recommendation from my sister in law, and I've been going there ever since! Plus, it's super close to my kids' preschool and downtown Naperville which is nice. Plus, their neighbor is Starbucks which is a nice perk ;) I've seen a couple different people working the front desk, and both were extremely helpful and kind. They make you feel special every time you arrive and are grateful for your business. I've had multiple technicians work on my nails and they've all been great. This works out for me, because I usually have limited time to get my nails done and sometimes it's last minute, so i'm confident in whoever is available to do a mani/pedi! I've done both a no chip manicure and a dip manicure, but have recently been sticking with the dip. They do a great job of making sure it's not super thick and they've explained (and showed me) how it's much better for your nails. They have plenty of great colors too, with matching for your pedicure. I'm a fan! Speaking of pedicures... lots to choose from! They have a whole menu of different pedicures to choose from and all of their signature pedicures come with a complimentary bath salt soak of your choice. They have a ton of chairs (especially recently since they remodeled their layout a bit), so even when it's busy I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a service. There are a couple TVs on the walls, but they never seem to be playing anything. They're usually either off or have some sort of screen savor on them. I don't mind though, because the music they play is great and I prefer to browse my phone and enjoy the chair massage while I'm getting a pedi anyway. Friendly, professional service, and reasonably priced in my opinion. Be sure to check them out! Pro tip: If you pay in cash you save 10%. Just recently went to get my set of Christmas/New Years nails done and they look HORRIBLE. Normally I get great service here and it is my go-to nail salon, so I am wondering if they were just rushing this time due to a long line of walk-ins behind me. Either way, I got a fill and chrome (no polish underneath) and my nails have air bubbles and the chrome isn't covering my nails completely. Super messy looking and disappointed for $80. read more

Not horrible, but not great. Two days later and polish is chipped in 7/10 nails. When I paint my own, it usually lasts 5-7 days. I don't get manicures on often, so I may have expected too much. I thought a hand massage would last longer than 15 seconds per hand, but it felt good for that little bit. When we were done, they didn't say anything. They just got up and left. One of the worst no chip manicures I've EVER received. I told the nail tech that they looked extremely lumpy and she insisted it was because of my nails which was not true. I am only giving two stars because I went back and had them fixed, however the initial nail tech who did a horrible job kept coming over to watch the new nail tech redo my nails which made me extremely uncomfortable. From the moment I walked in to the time I left, it was loud, crowded and chaotic. When we got sat down in the massage chairs, we weren't offered anything to drink, like other nail salons I've been to. We were given the nail menu and when my friend and I said we were just going with a regular pedicure, I felt we were judged and ridiculed for it. The leg stone massage was nice. The nail stylist was chatty. My toenails turned out OK. Then we moved to to get our manicures. The stylist was very sloppy, my cuticles bled, the paint job was not clean and my finger nails weren't even. I was still peeling off my old paint color and my stylist snapped at me, when she was the one who didn't even remove it all. I had to get a touch up because the paint was messed up. When I was moved to the drying table, which wasn't even warm air, my stylist rudely snapped at me for moving on my own since i had a pedicure also, even though they were definitely dry. My friend was given a tiny fan for 5 minutes and then sent on his way. Not nearly as many color options as other nail salons I've been to. By the next day, the paint was already cracking and peeling. For the price I paid, this is unacceptable. Overcrowded, Overprice and overrated. I won't be back. read more

Normally I have good things to say about Glo nails but this time around has changed my mind entirely. I never go cheap when I come and get a pedicure we always spend between 65-80 for a pedicure. i've always asked for AP and this time unfortunately he wasn't around so I had to go with someone else. the pedicure itself was fine, but I asked for french toes at first and I was told by the person next time him "it's a curved french and it needs to be no chip" since when does ANYTHING have to be no chip to make a certain design? he attempts to do the french and it ends up being a straight line and I said very kindly nvm let's just do all white towards the end of him finishing the color i noticed half of my big toe nail is gone.. one is round the other is square.. on top of that he puts a PINK top coat so now what was white is washed out at this point i'm upset because I said something 2x now even about the pink top coat and he said "no it looks fine" I wait 15 mins to dry and go up front and tell the manager and he tells me "oh well we can fix it" at that point i'm so upset I've been there an hour and how many times do we fix something if the customer told the tech? I then call back later today and told the manager just please give me the money back at least 15/20$ because I have to go somewhere else and get my toe fixed AND pay to get colored he said "just come back" I really don't feel comfortable after my last 2 interactions. he offered me 15 dollars (which is the tip we left and said that's all he can offer) i've had a great year here and this really just set my mood to never come back. read more

Chose this Salon based on all the 5 star reviews so lesson learned don't put too much stock in Yelp reviews. Been all over the burbs and city during my 50 years and this was by far the worst experience I ever had at a nail salon. Place looked nice and they use good products but the prices are too high for the quality of service. Cold water in tub for pedicure even after I asked for more hot water. Got an ingrown nail after based on the way my nails were cut far into the corner. Owner manager or whoever the front desk man was is very rude and bullies clients who dare to question him. Seems to treat the walk in clients better than those who make appointments. If you're looking for a tranquil escape for much deserved pampering this is not the salon for you. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. I came in today with an appointment and was made to wait 45 minutes. After asking why I was waiting for this long, I was met with attitude from the front staff saying I came in late and that it's my fault (I arrived 5 minutes after my appointment time and they sat 2 people down who came in after me). The nail tech who did my pedicure was very nice, however the nail tech who did my manicure was extremely unprofessional. Instead of asking me to place my hand under the UV light, she grabbed my wrist and shoved it under the light (multiple times). When I pointed out there was a bit of leftover nail polish from my previous manicure, she got upset with me and was being aggressive with my hands. Finally, as I was leaving, the nail polish on one of my nails got smudged and instead of removing it and doing the nail over again, she blobbed more nail polish on top of it. When I asked her about it, she said it was the shape of my nail? And of course, even after letting my nail dry there for an additional 20 minutes, I came home to it being ruined again. Very disappointed with a lot.. I'll start from the beginning when I made the initial appointment I requested Jenny and I did not get Jenny but instead I got Danny. When I got to my appointment Danny was very nice but when he started drilling on my natural nail I asked if he could please use a regular file because my natural nail is too thin and can't handle being drilled. He told me he had to use the drill and he'll only do a little but my natural nail is very much chewed up from the drill. I also had a severely cracked nail, that I felt he did not try to be gentle with and hurt me a couple times during the appointment. The part that I'm most upset about is that less than AN HOUR after my appointment my right pointer finger broke off.... And 4 days after my right middle finger has already started lifting a ton. When I called and told them what happened. I was told that they will only use the drill on my nail and they cannot hand file my natural nail and also told me that they were not responsible for the lifting of my nail because it was just a fill. They only said they would fix the lifting when I told them they replaced that nail in the initial appointment. I'm just overall very disappointed and will not be going back. read more
