My husband and I were with another couple and had to extend our 3 hour parking another hour because the time just went so fast. I say that because we didn't feel rushed one bit. My husband normally doesn't get anything on his steak but he went with it and was pleased with the sauce on top. My Mediterranean red snapper and pasta was perfect. We were in town for our annual fantasy football draft weekend. Normally we are a little further easy. But to accommodate one of our diva league mates, we decided to move it west. Another one of my league mates found this place for our tradition Thursday night dinner out. This might not be fair to Global Grill, but all I can do is compare it to our other Thursday night spot that always exceeds expectations. Don't get it twisted, this place is great and should not be missed if you are in Pensacola Beach. But if I compare apples to apples to our other upscale casual place, the price and food were not on the same level. Just the same way I compare fast food restaurants on the same scale. I do the same with these type of places. Is it the same as a Chick-fil-a meal? Not even close. This place is much better. But in comparison to similar restaurants, it was just a notch under. We got a lot of small plates that were good, but not great. My steak was really good. But price v. quality was the most suspect part. Again, this was a great experience and might be the best in the area. I just don't know since I rarely come to this region. Definitely try it if you are in the area. read more

Parking is hard. We arrived on time, so they seated us promptly. Atmosphere is nice. Beer is good. More drink choices than food choices. I picked Sam Adams Boston Lager, and they delivered. The bread was warm and moist. The salad was very tasty. The Caesar salad was a small portion. The dressing on the regular salad is the best I've had in a while. The duck was done to perfection. The crab cake was a tapas, so it was. Small portion. The crab cake was as good as Jaco's. The sweet potatoes were crazy small. Nothing special about the small Caesar salad. It seems like they added a extra portion of mushrooms in my rice. Service is very attentive. I never had an empty gas's. They asked about a second beer when I was half finished. read more

Hands down one of the best salads I've ever had, and I've had some good ones. EXCEPT the over salted it. It was a wild mushroom salad with white basalmic vinaigrette and truffle oil. I told my server and he had immediately brought a new salad, less salty but still, in my opinion, heavy handed on the saltiness. But not too bad. Other than that the salad was ridiculously good. I don't often rave about salads. I also got crab cakes. The were more breaded than I like. For a place as expensive as this and purporting to be fine dining, dont fill my crab cakes with a bunch of breadcrumbs. Should be called breadcrumb cakes with crab. Flavor was good, not remarkable. All told, for the price and, I won't say arrogance of the place; the aspirations of the place, I expected better. read more

Global Grill truly exceeded my expectations. I had the pleasure of trying several dishes, including the lamb lollipops, savory lobster cheesecake, beef carpaccio, blackened sirloin steak, and seared tuna, and I have to say that every single one of them was exceptional. It was a pleasure to try such an incredible variety of flavors. The lamb lollipops were particularly impressive. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned with a delicious blend of herbs and spices, making them incredibly flavorful and tender. (You won't need a steak knife for these!) The beef carpaccio was another highlight, with thinly sliced beef that was melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. We all enjoyed the tapas so much but couldn't pass up the blackened sirloin steak, so we ordered it for the table. The waiter offered to have it cut for us so that it was more easily shareable. I was a little weary, but the kitchen staff clearly allowed it to rest before slicing it, so it was perfectly juicy and a wonderful addition to our dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. It is a wonderful place for dinner with friends, colleagues, or even a date night. It has a full bar and a variety of wines. Overall, the dining experience and service were exceptional. I would certainly dine here again when in the area. read more

This is a fine dining restaurant without the formal dress requirement. The service was fast and impeccable. We were seated early. The wine and drink selections were good. Our waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the wines and menu items. The menu has something for every taste. The presentation of every dish enhanced the experience. The small plates are great to be able to try a variety of different dishes. The lobster wontons were excellent. Everyone loved the fried asparagus. The baby Brussels sprouts cooked with smoked bacon and a Gouda cheese sauce were amazing as were the pork medallions. The pork had a little spice. I had the chicken cordon bleu with broccoli and mashed Yukon potatoes - yum! Big plate so my husband finished it for me. One person had the duck. He said that it was exactly what he hoped it would be. The beef medallions were a big hit. The restaurant offers a "Triple threat" which is a fish fillet topped with a fried soft shell crab and then lump crabmeat. This is not in the menu and is enough for two. The only thing that caused a little hiccup was that the chocolate crème brûlée was actually vanilla. It was good just not what we expected. I would go back. read more

4.5 stars. This New American grill has been open at least 13 years-- and for good reason. Our party of four ordered MANY dishes-- tapas, main plates, appetizers, salads, desserts, & alcoholic beverages. EVERYTHING WAS VERY GOOD. I included just the photos of what I ate, but I sampled many dishes. My Bleu Cheese Stuffed Filet @ $47 had INCREDIBLE FLAVOR. Seriously, this dish was ONE OF THE BEST THAT I'VE EVER EATEN ANYWHERE! It consisted of an 8 oz prime, grilled tomatoes, portobello mushrooms, Chef Taylor's Worcestershire, & fried leeks. The gravy was PHENOMINAL IN FLAVOR! -- SEE PIC. After we were served many additional entrees, I ordered dessert to share -- the Bailey's & White Chocolate Creme Brulee @ $9. It was a fan favorite! Its powerful flavor & rich, smooth texture won over three of four women & their eager spoons. Why 4.5 stars & not 5? (1) I ordered my delicious filet "medium," after requesting it be "just a little pink." However, it was received medium rare on the outside w/ a very large rare center. That's a big error for a $47 dish. (2) Our waitress never asked us how we liked our entrees-- even after I had cut mine into pieces before boxing 3/4 of it for home. Had she asked, she would have known the filet had not been cooked as ordered. (3) Although my brulee was very good, it could have been even better; the custard was served expectedly cold & the caramel was crunchy, yet the caramel wasn't warm. The cold caramel coupled w/ the cold custard detracted somewhat from the overall flavor. (Brulee is my favorite dessert, so I've sampled many over the years.) (4) The acoustics could be better; the volume is a little loud-- not a major fault, but something to consider should you arrive w/ a date expecting a more romantic atmosphere. Will the missteps prevent a return visit? Of course not! The menu is ECLECTIC; the food presentation is BEAUTIFUL; & the ingredients are DELICIOUS, FRESH, & of obvious HIGH QUALITY. Chef Taylor is incredibly talented! The menu is divided into sections. MAIN PLATES include: Chicken Cordon Bleu ($27), Roasted Duck Breast ($42) Pesto Crusted Tuna ($33), Filet Mignon ($44), Bleu Cheese Stuffed Filet, Potato Crusted Fish ($34), & NY Strip ($45). The latter can be served blackened w/ Andouille & Crab Cream for $58. Local art lines the wall of the two dining rooms. There's also a wall of bottled wine. I'd describe the decor as Contemporary & Minimalistic. With its white walls, it creates a clean, classy, sleek feel. This dining experience was hands down the best I've had in P'cola. Equally amazing was Tony who curated our evening with spot on recommendations from libations like noche noche thru dessert. From tuna cubes, yellow fin tuna, lamb lollipops, and swordfish to a gooey chocolate cake with awe-inspiring basil ice cream and a side of cloaked berries...I cannot recommend GG highly enough. Originally planned on going here on my husbands birthday, and we were disappointed to find out they were closed Mondays. Fast forward 2 months and my husband and I came here for our first dinner as parents after having our baby. Let me tell you--everything we ate was absolutely incredible. We had the lobster wontons which were just spectacular and unlike anything I've ever eaten. Definitely recommend those. My husband had the duck breast for his main, which he immediately decided was the best meal he had ever had. I had the filet, which also was amazing. You cannot go wrong here. Went here with my mom almost 15 years ago. After my mom's passing last month and meeting with lawyers I went back to enjoy this one last time. It has remained one of the bright spots within downtown Pensacola. Eric the bartender was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to caring for the customers and to me. It is a small plate/tapas type restaurant and their plates are perfect sized meals. Their prices even during this time are reasonable and the quality of the food remains outstanding. I had the olive starter and it's size and taste go very well with drinks from a martini to an old fashioned. Their baby Brussel sprouts with the Gouda cheese sauce can not be left off your dinner. I'd come back for just them everyday. I also had their BBQ shrimp plate and it too was phenomenal. You will not do wrong with anything they prepare. This is an amazing place and if I ever get back to Pcola, will definitely be on my list of places to go. read more
