Bad experience with quality, customer service, and software compatibility with other modifications other then theirs. Headers cracked twice with about 15k miles of use. They rusted very easily. Also, had to switch to Cobb tune after GMG was unable to fix limp mode after adding intercooleres, plenum, and y pipe. 991 Turbo S headers over 5k to last 15k miles is garbage. Stay away from this brand. Once they take your money they will not help with problems or stand by the quality of their products. All of their products are without warranty. Cash preferred at this location looks very shady on their part. Typical over ppromise under deliver business practices. Half star here. To be continued on forums and social media. read more

The A-team! I've been looking for a dependable, knowledgeable and a professional shop to help me with my Shelby GT500 performance upgrade for some time now and I have finally found what I've been looking for. I tried different outfits but they often came short of the expertise to do the job right. This place does a lot of work on European sports cars but they have range when it comes to different make and models. Eric who worked on my car was actually more knowledgeable than ford and shelby in Vegas who pretty much never even returned my phone call seeking help and expertise. Shelby in Vegas was most disappointing considering my repeated calls to them went unanswered. They feel entitled and above it all. Shelby just does expensive packages for upgrades and anything in between doesn't get their attention or time. Eric's work on my car was pretty extensive and extremely professional. I'm happy to have found Eric and the GMG Folks specially since they're in Orange County close to where I live and look forward to working with them in the future to start my second phase of performance upgrade. I have a 2017 Volkswagen GTI and called 3 separate times to ask about a couple APR parts (APR Short Shifter and Stage 1 tune). The first and second time I called the team was busy with customers, so they took down my phone number/name and insured me that I would hear back from them that day...never did. The third time I got transferred twice after saying what car I have and then hung up on after being put on hold for several minutes. I can't comment on the quality of their car work since I was never able to actually get work done on my car, but their customer service is terrible! If you don't service the same cars as stated on APR's website you should NOT be an APR dealer. read more

Called Porsche Irvine, and Circle Porsche- Where I bought the car(live walking distance to the Death Star, Autonation Newport Porsche-horrible), neither could help or, really, knew anything. Scotty at GMG was knowledgeable , and genuinely cared about my situation. He had me take pictures and e-mail him, he responded immediately. I was looking to improve the sound of my 911 turbo, so upon reading GMG product description of its performance exhaust it sounded like the perfect solution, describing the sound as reminiscent of the Carrera GT with out the drone of many sports exhaust, As i drove the car home I realized I might have made the wrong choice, I gave it about two more days and then called to arrange to return the car to stock, thats when my disappointment was fully realized, neither James Safronas nor his business partner would address the misleading advertising and basically avoided my calls for weeks refusing to refund just 50% of the $5,500.00 cost I had asked for. ( I own a business and understand they have restocking fees and other costs) Finally I made the decision to just let it go and not spend any more time or money to try to teach them a lesson. I have owned ferraris, Aston martins, ford GT ect and understand that acoustical engineering is necessary to build a proper sounding exhaust system, ( I have a quicksilver system on my Aston and its phonominal) What GMG does is simply make finely constructed big tubes that sound like any droning cheap japanese import with an after market coffee can sized pipe. For those who don't care about an acoustically engineered sound, GMG's system does increase throttle response and probably HP but I am skeptical to the extent they advertise. Biggest disappointment however was how the Owners handled the situation once they had my money. Never again GMG, I recommend their competitor ,TRG who have already won more races than GMG will ever win in their lifetimes. read more

Good guys. I used Fabryce and the crew at GMG multiple times to work on my 996tt. They did my clutch, my suspension setup and trans rebuild. It helps that they're only a mile from my shop. But the service is always professional and it's done when they say it will be done. That means a lot to me. I have used GMG for standard service and performance modifications on my Porsche 911S for several years and have never been disappointed. Most recently, and for the first time, my car broke down with an unknown problem. GMG diagnosed a wire connection issue between my control unit and throttle body and the car was ready the same day. There were no computer codes that helped diagnose the problem. GMG also installed a light-weight flywheel, sport clutch, sway bars and radiator grills. I use them for standard service too. read more

I really appreciate for his hard work. Either you call in the shop or stop by to the shop, you should look for Scott, the general manager. No stars off for me. First place for GMG in my book I own a european exotic and found their prices more than reasonable given the quality and professionalism. Yeah, it costs more than Jiffy Lube but if you're like me then you're very particular about who works on your car. GMG more than passed the test. The shop is clean and extremely well-equipped. Brought my 997 RS here a few times but have settled on another shop. There is just a little too much attitude here and a couple of the jobs they did weren't quite up to par for me. Attention to detail on service seems a bit lacking. Example, had new cup rotors installed and they were installed opposite l/r to how they should have been which makes cooling a little bit of a problem. That said if you are paying them for full race and track support they seem to do well and cars are very competitive. That seems to be more their focus with the other jobs they do helping to support the race habit. read more
