We had a bath tub refinished by Miracle method. They cleaned the tub, but did not remove the…read moreplumbers putty around the drain. When the job was complete, I was able to wipe off the new coating as easily as removing playdoh. They removed the overflow drain cover during the prep / etching process. Then put it back on and masked it off during the glazing process, so the area behind the overflow was not glazed. When I went to put my new overflow cover on, I found they just glued the old one one. When I removed it, it took the brand new glazing finish off with it. The bolt was broken that holds this cover on, they just glued the bolt head on to mask the problem. This bolt also holds the drain pipe to the tub, without it, water will leak behind the tub, cause mold and possible flooding to the downstairs neighbor. Update, about a week later. I extracted the broken bolt from the drain pipe using a little PB Blaster, heat and working back and forth. MM sent a more experienced tech to re-do the previous job. Looks fine now. Considering the mistakes that were made, and the cover up to hide the broken bolt, I'm not changing my review rating. The first tech clearly had no common sense, not what I would expect from a $1k paint job.

I just finished my bathroom remodel and felt Pristine Coating really deserved and review as there has been absolutely no issues with the refinishing job at all. Now that I've got a new white bathtub installed, you literally cannot tell the difference other than that the new tub has some traction whereas the refinished tub was a little more slippery. The floor tiles have kept in reasonably good shape as well. There are some normal wear and tear from dropping things and foot traffic (adults only, no kids or pets). Originally I was not going to remodel until at least the warranty was up, and I'm sure the job would have held up just fine for another 1.5 years, but due to other circumstances I've pushed up the remodel timeline. There were 2 holes about the size of a pinky and the cavity is about the size that could fit my thumb up to its nailbed. I reached out to a few folks and got quotes. Given my prior positive experience, I reached out to Mauricio to see if this could be done. I also noticed 2 holes that I'm not sure if it was there when I first got the furniture or if something else bore out. These were about the size of a dull pencil tip but on the underside of the furniture. Mauricio was extremely patient with me upon getting the details as I was considering getting a second opinion from some local exterminators on the risk of another emergence. Eventually, I figured out some details and booked an appointment. Everything was quickly scheduled with Edgar who arrived on time promptly and quickly went to work fixing the 4 holes. By the time it was finished, I could only vaguely guess where the holes were. To someone who didn't know about the holes, it would look almost natural. All in all, this took roughly an hour or so to complete. Edgar was sure to clean up after himself and laid out some paper padding to capture any mess left behind and prevent it from touching the floor. Overall, I was happy with the price and quality of work done.

When he returned to do the work, the entire refinishing process only took about three hours, which honestly amazed me. Jack is clearly an expert at what he does--he's not just knowledgeable, he's truly an artist. He refinished the entire tub, and it now looks and shines like new. The surface is smooth, glossy, and flawless. No one would ever know how badly I messed it up. In addition to tubs, Jack also reconditions chipped, worn, and damaged plumbing fixtures, including sinks and tubs, which is great to know for future projects. They replaced all of our base boards and door trims throughout the house as well as refinishing floors throughout the entire house. This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.

We hired all action to remediate our house in 2024. Unfortunately two years later, we did an ERMI…read moreand bad molds were still detected so we took things one step further and hired a mold dog. The mold dog flagged all the places that were "remediated" by all action. The drywall with mold were all taken out but unfortunately the studs with mold were just encapsulated and painted over, therefore still exposing us to molds. I've learned that the proper way of treating studs is to remove and replace and if that's not possible, sand, hepa vacuum, antimicrobal and wire brush all the mold out of the studs. Unfortunately, we learned our lesson the hard way. Please be sure to properly vet your potential mold remediation company and understand if they do things properly and rid of ALL the mold. If you need your house to be medically clean of mold, steer clear from this company. They don't care about clients, they just want to get their foot through the door, get rid of the easy mold on the drywalls and not put in the hard work to really get the mold out of the studs. They will just cover up all the mold with white sealant and call it a day. Again we had an ERMI done two years later, which stachy and chaet still showed up. Learn about your molds, these are the baddddd molds. We then took things further and hired a mold dog & she flagged all the places we remediated. They're also not IICRC certified. Wish I had done better research earlier. See photos.

I happened to be here staying with my grandson coincidentally for the last 2 days while they completed the job and while I didn't interact with them much through the process (they were able to enter the MB from the back entry and never came through the home which maybe @ 1200 sq ft - aside from some of the construction noise which is expected, I hardly knew they were here and my grandson didn't know they were here at all and was able to take his naps without a problem), he ended up showing me his completed work so I could share with my daughter and SIL the detail and information for example how he installed a new drain because the old one didn't fit the new base and how he also installed a new shower bar and toilet paper roll holder and the correct door with the attached towel bar being the door that should be on the right and the ease of use of the glides of both doors. He also told me how he installed a couple of additional 2x4's behind the surround of the largest wall to provide extra solid support for the backer board that he had replaced a big section of (significant rot/mold damage to the preexisting backer board). He needed to access the roof crawl space to assess the access to potentially return to install a ceiling fan since this bathroom was not built with one and he needed to provide the home owner with an estimate. After confirming the crawl space, he did enter the attic and took pictures and again shared with me in great detail what he found and took pictures to share with the home owner so I could give the kids a heads up if he may return in the near future. Which admittedly would end up being quite costly although he did not say how much and I didn't ask as that part is not my business, ultimately it is between he and the home owner and I can't speculate if it will be something she will end up moving forward with but I believe, with the limited info I know is it still may be a possibility since mold is any homeowners and residents enemy. I know that the homeowner had several estimates and anticipated spending upwards of 10k but really wanted to pay much less but was simultaneously realistic. She had been coordinating such for a couple months before she selected Luis and from what he knew he said that his bid was half the cost of one of the higher end estimates she had received. I have no idea what any of the actual numbers were, I've never met the home owner but I know it's pretty universal that home owners don't tend to invest on the high end of their rental properties. Years ago I had a kitchen and bathroom reno done in my home at the time for a house of comparable sz, it was expensive as hell and took a couple months to complete both. I haven't written a lengthy detailed review on here for years but my short interaction with Luis got my attn especially since my boss who owns a home in Walnut Creek and a lovely law enforcement couple that I volunteer for on their ranch here in town have all recently asked me if I know of anyone who does construction or electrical work recently and at the time I had no one come to mind. Now I have Luis that I will be more than happy to recommend him to any people if I'm asked. He's a kind, genuine, considerate, business owner and works hard with his crew to provide excellent work and really pays attention to his details and it shows because he cares and that just doesn't seem to be the majority of businesses out there like him these days. For my Danville home - I had hideous colored concrete floor for the Italian/Mediterranean home. I upgraded/renovated and had Enrique's Tile install travertine. I love marble but the maintenance is just too much (3 teenagers and 2 cats) unlike the travertine. Still beautiful, natural stone but less maintenance. I will gladly recommend Enrique's Tile; will use again for future projects.
