I came here one Saturday and ordered a bratwurst sandwich after driving by and seeing the banner at the top of the building advertising them. I took it home and opened up the Styrofoam box. The brat was grilled and wrapped in foil and it came with a buttered French roll and a little container of deli mustard. The sandwich was okay, but a little pricey for what it was at around $9. It also came with some sauteed cabbage type stuff with some bits of bacony meat in it and a side of your choice of potato salad, which I chose dill. We drove miles because a friend wanted a liverwurst (ugh) sandwich but we also bought turkey, tuna melt, had sauerkraut, apple streudel,. Wowza. Everything was top notch, fresh and highest quality. It's been 4 1/2 years since I set foot in Globe because of the a-hole owner. Tonight when I read another review under the goulash menu part, I see he hasn't changed one bit. This lady had the same extremely rude customer service that I had. I'm surprised he hasn't run the place in the ground yet. Not going there is just a minor inconvenience since Mattern Deli in Orange isn't all that far away. And jerk-off buys his sausages from Mattern anyway. Well hallelujah! Mr Rude Jerkoff is no longer there! There was an extremely nice, friendly and polite man behind the counter. What a pleasure. Only suggestion is to beef up the lunchtime staff. From a great selection of German imported foods, to an array of delicious sandwiches, to incredibly friendly service - Globe does it all right. I've come here for both ingredients to make German food at home (they carry local sausages from Mattern in Orange), and for sandwiches, and I've never been disappointed. First off I'm a new customer to this deli. I've been here a handful of times over the last 2 months and the food is really good. It's the best sandwich I've found in the area. That said the last 2 times I've been here they have shorted my order meaning they didn't include something. Now the food here is really good but it's also expensive. I don't mind paying for good food but if I order something it should be in the bag when you tell me "here is everything you ordered". When you don't get what you order you have a feeling of being ripped off. It's the simplest thing to do in the restaurant business but idk why so many places can't do it. 2 stars for the great food but I don't like being charged 10 dollars for some potato salad and not receiving it. My dad had recommended I try Globe Deli after I moved to the area, and I just happened to be walking by yesterday after leaving 24 at a Triangle Square. My boyfriend and I are both keto and always looking for new food options, plus I promised I'd bring home lunch, so it worked out that it finally was on my route. The inside is adorable! Lots of different European treats, groceries, and drinks. There are a couple tables and stools if you stop in for lunch. The deli has a wide variety of potato salads, cheeses, and sausages, which you can also get in bulk to go. I got bratwurst and knockwurst lunch specials with coleslaw and no bun, which they kindly suggested we get "sandwich style" with tomato, pickles, and mustard/mayo. Definitely the way to go! We split the sausages and both agreed the brat was best, but it was all delicious. The highlight of my trip was (who I believe was) the owner taking the time to make sure I had a great experience. I felt so bad, I was a little incoherent after hitting the gym, but she was very attentive, offering samples and making sure any questions I had were answered. We chatted for a bit, mostly about how cute their shop is, and I told her how my dad used to come to lunch often, but had recently been laid off and hadn't been in a while. She offered well wishes and kind words, and went out of her way to make sure I felt welcome and that she was thinking about my family. It made my day. You just don't meet a lot of people or businesses that have that level of sincerity in hospitality. I didn't have the wherewithal to thank her or get her name yesterday, but I do want to thank her for bringing a little light to my day. Thank you! For everything! read more

My husband has been missing his business trips to Germany and so I went to Globe Deli for their German sausages (which are ALL amazing!) The other day on my regular sausage run, the owner suggested I try the rouladen (a German meat dish) which I didn't even see on the menu. It was a full meal with the homemade rouladen, dumplings, red slaw, gravy and fresh bread and butter. I don't know if they made this just for me or if it is a regular item, but you must ask for it and try it - Especially during this time of take-out meals. The sandwiches here are delicious. The bread tastes fresh and they use a generous amount of meat. They spread their mayonnaise and mustard to the edges of the bread and generously enough so you don't feel like there's too much or too little. They don't skimp on toppings either. I love Globe deli. They have fresh cooked German food every day it's delicious. There's items you cannot buy in the other stores so I have to make my trip to Globe to get some great German food . The bread is so fresh and I always get lunch meats and cheese as well as seasoning for my goulash and routeladen. I highly recommend Globe especially if you want fresh German food.
