    German Beer

Best Roast Beef Sandwich! I ordered one all the time and enjoy each time. The Roast Beef is made in house. Perfect amount of seasoning and far from salty! Came in today to pick up sausages (Brats and Bats), potato salad, red cabbage and sauerkraut for 4th BBQ. Their salads are excellent. They have four potato salads to choose from and all are great. Also picked up some German Mustard and a few beers. Excellent selection of Beers not to mention three on tap for dine in enjoyment. Staff is friendly and great, especially the owner.

If you want by far the best sandwiches and meats this is the place to be coming to all the time, and here's why.... No matter what you order this place is just phenomenal and everything is great about it. I used to come here over five years ago when I lived in Newport and now that I moved back I will definitely be coming here a lot more often. I walked in today and met the owner Sean. Extremely cool guy and clearly someone who really understands great food. We started talking and he told me the reason he even bought the place was because the first time he ever came here he ordered the roast beef and was so impressed he ended up buying the restaurant. After hearing that I had to try it! The roast beef sandwich comes with lettuce, onion, tomato, mustard and mayo with your choice of cheese and bread. The meat is piled high and is super tender and moist, and everything tastes fresh. Simple and done right and that's exactly why it works. Next was the Reuben. Corned beef with melted Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian dressing on toasted marble rye. This one is loaded and perfectly balanced. Warm, melty and full of flavor with the bread toasted just enough to hold it together. Honestly one of the best Reubens I've had. Then there's the hot German potato salad. Warm potatoes with a vinegar bite that gives it a really distinct flavor and it was amazing alongside the sandwiches. I love when owners are passionate about their places. Sean is a great guy and I can't wait to come back and try something different or just go for the Reuben again because it really was that good!

What a great place! Had the best Reuben in the OC with tasty beers and a laidback, welcoming vibe. I highly recommend!

The Big Schnitzel Sandwich with a few bites taken out already

Stumbled across great reviews on Google and Yelp and decided to try it out. One of the Best decisions we made about food this entire trip. The guys were very helpful on helping us decide what to try. We were torn between the Reuben (which looked delicious), the sausage sampler. Since my hubby and I were sharing they suggested the Big Schnitzel Sandwich. When it came out we were shocked how big it was. It looked amazing and after eating it - it was amazing! The schnitzel was cooked perfectly - moist on the inside- the bread was tasty and all the condiments they put on it were fantastic. If we are ever back in this area, will definitely be back. They are also very friendly and enjoyed the time chatting with them.

Chili bowl - filet mignon and Carnitas. 12 bucks!

In a time where McDonald's meals are 17 bucks, mediocre restaurants for 25 bucks a plate and dishes that lack any substance or depth of flavor... there's globe deli. 9 bucks for a tall mug of imported German beer, hand crafted sandwiches that will keep you coming back for less than a meal at mcdeez. This place is a no brainer

Where has Globe Deli been hiding all these years?? How is it so hidden but in plain sight?! It's such a bros sandwich joint that sort of feels like a club you just want to be apart of. Every one who walked in seemed to be a regular at. Service isn't off the charts but it feels like that's just the vibe and I'm totally cool with it. The dry sense of humor sort of humors me and as long as the sandwiches are not dry I'll take the dry joke any day.

    Selections of high end meats!

New owners made this place even better! Great deli and one of those OC rarities that actually offers a decent East coast hoagie. Yum.

Hello, is the store still open? We stopped by for the past three days and the doors are locked. 😔 Thank you.

Yes they are still open. I stopped there yesterday for a delicious sandwich. I only noticed that they close at 5pm. I think they're closed on the weekends

While s could if old school favorites (for my lovely wife) might have dropped from the menu many years ago, sure came to love their signature cheese steaks too. Honestly I'm not going to compare it with anyone's other favorites because this just happens to be mine. The best is getting it there and reading it hot but since pandemic, the seating is minimal. You can go anywhere and get a version of a Philly cheese steak sandwich, but this one tops my list. Please tell them Frankie told you you had to go there. Honestly, just love this place Anyway. Good luck!

I ordered a small Frank's Choice, and it was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the cheese was plenty and tasty. I'm a terrible cheesesteak consumer and add lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, but I loved it (please don't judge me too hard). I also thought you get plenty of food for the price, so the value is certainly there. Overall I was really pleased with this spot and would love to try some of their other items, hopefully in person. Definitely give this place a shot if you're craving a cheesesteak, whether in-person or via delivery.
