    German Beer

Best Roast Beef Sandwich! I ordered one all the time and enjoy each time. The Roast Beef is made in house. Perfect amount of seasoning and far from salty! Came in today to pick up sausages (Brats and Bats), potato salad, red cabbage and sauerkraut for 4th BBQ. Their salads are excellent. They have four potato salads to choose from and all are great. Also picked up some German Mustard and a few beers. Excellent selection of Beers not to mention three on tap for dine in enjoyment. Staff is friendly and great, especially the owner.

What a great place! Had the best Reuben in the OC with tasty beers and a laidback, welcoming vibe. I highly recommend!

The Big Schnitzel Sandwich with a few bites taken out already

Stumbled across great reviews on Google and Yelp and decided to try it out. One of the Best decisions we made about food this entire trip. The guys were very helpful on helping us decide what to try. We were torn between the Reuben (which looked delicious), the sausage sampler. Since my hubby and I were sharing they suggested the Big Schnitzel Sandwich. When it came out we were shocked how big it was. It looked amazing and after eating it - it was amazing! The schnitzel was cooked perfectly - moist on the inside- the bread was tasty and all the condiments they put on it were fantastic. If we are ever back in this area, will definitely be back. They are also very friendly and enjoyed the time chatting with them.

Chili bowl - filet mignon and Carnitas. 12 bucks!

In a time where McDonald's meals are 17 bucks, mediocre restaurants for 25 bucks a plate and dishes that lack any substance or depth of flavor... there's globe deli. 9 bucks for a tall mug of imported German beer, hand crafted sandwiches that will keep you coming back for less than a meal at mcdeez. This place is a no brainer

Where has Globe Deli been hiding all these years?? How is it so hidden but in plain sight?! It's such a bros sandwich joint that sort of feels like a club you just want to be apart of. Every one who walked in seemed to be a regular at. Service isn't off the charts but it feels like that's just the vibe and I'm totally cool with it. The dry sense of humor sort of humors me and as long as the sandwiches are not dry I'll take the dry joke any day.

    Selections of high end meats!

Hello, is the store still open? We stopped by for the past three days and the doors are locked. 😔 Thank you.

Yes they are still open. I stopped there yesterday for a delicious sandwich. I only noticed that they close at 5pm. I think they're closed on the weekends

Has a great little market section of coffees, condiments, seasonings and whole lot more. Nice selection of grab n go ready items as well so if you're in a rush they've got you covered. Parking I can see being rough on the weekends but it's not their fault. They do offer valet which is a nice way to solve the problem. I tried the caramelized date latte. It was amazing & perfectly balanced not too sweet for being a flavored latte. For food I ordered the Rye scramble. The eggs were wonderfully soft scrambled served in top of a baguette so it was like a sandwich and served with a nice salad of baby spring lettuce with herbs and tiny delicate flower petals. The dressing was bright and refreshing. For it being simple it wasn't missing anything. I did take home a slice of lemon poppyseed loaf and a Banana loaf slice as well. Those were both great. I don't think it was the best I have ever had but they were both really good. Would I order again maybe but I would rather try one the many other beautiful pastries they offer. Such a great variety. Service- I have read a few disappointing reviews on service. My experience, when I placed my order she was very friendly. I ordered my coffee and breakfast for here and then asked for a slice of lemon loaf and banana bread slice to go. I only got the lemon loaf but wasn't charged for the banana so no big deal. They brought my eggs out and it was the full breakfast and not the scramble. I told him how I ordered and he happily took the dish back and said no problem they will make the scramble. A few minutes later he came back with a slice of banana bread for me for the inconvenience. In my case service was perfect. There was a hiccup yes ( which they happen, people really need to be more forgiving in this day and age) they handled it perfectly and will I be back? Gladly with all my friends. Definitely give them a go.

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this one really missed the mark…read more I ordered a breakfast sandwich for $16.50, and it was shockingly small, literally smaller than my hand. For that price, I expected something at least filling, but it was the opposite. The bread was honestly the biggest disappointment. This is supposed to be a pastry-focused place, but the bread was so hard and tough it was difficult to chew. It didn't taste fresh at all. Inside, you get just one egg (I ordered sunny side up) and one chicken sausage. The sausage was super dry and felt like it had been reheated from frozen. No flavor, no texture--just disappointing. That's it. No sides, no substance. For $16.50, you leave still hungry. I've heard their pastries are good, but if you're charging that much for a breakfast sandwich, the quality and portion should match. This just wasn't it. :/

This store is similar to the SB store as how clean it is and how much variety of proteins that you can try. They crazy item I found was a bag of frozen chicken hearts. HA! I like how they have a variety of beef, steaks, chicken, turkey, seafood, pork, and ground meat. Make me want to learn to cook more foods! They also carry exotic meats such as wild boar, kangaroo, yak, bison, duck, alligator, ostrich, quail, and one thing I found most interesting was rabbit and pork sausage mixture. One day I will try these exotic flavors. Moving on to dessert, I got their cheesecake, mini beigneits with mixed berries, and lava cakes. All quite good and easy to prepare for a quick party or small gathering.

Their steak sandwich and their fries are my favorite things to get here. The steak is cooked to your preferred doneness, perfectly seasoned, and topped with an addictively tangy chimichurri. The fries are perfectly seasoned, thick cut fries that get depth from the beefy tallow that they're fried in. When I talk about steak sandwiches, I really mean that it's legit steak. Just look at the gaucho grill in the kitchen that is cranked up/down for optimal heat control. I mention this because they don't cut corners here. Also keep an eye out for their specials, which they announce daily on their IG page. I visited them Saturday on their five-year anniversary and they brought in a guest chef from Argentina, who made amazing Picanha. I got a special where they sliced the picanha over pao de quejo (brazilian cheese bread). It was one of the best bites I've had in a long time. Given that this dish was prepared from a guest chef, it won't be back on the menu anytime soon; however, their regular specials include porchetta on tuesdays and rib sandwiches on Saturdays. I really want to come by for their rotisserie chicken and roasted potatoes; however, I haven't been able to make that happen yet. It's no surprise that it's on the annual list from the LA Times as one of the top 101 restaurants in SoCal! Just don't pass up that steak sandwich and fries.
