The Food was horrible!! The ribs were pieces of charcole and the side salad was a full size but it was full of lettuce ends, tons of them. The BBQ chicken salad was horrible also. Overall, Glory Days Grill is good! When you enter, it appears as your typical sports bar. Their menu is large and has many different options. For appetizers we ordered Buffalo Cauliflower Wings and Pretzels. Pretzels were amazing, and properly salted unlike most places. Lol. Buffalo Cauliflower wings were okay. A little too breaded and large for me but I know everyone has different palates. I had the Fire Grilled Wings for dinner, which they were fantastic! Lots of flavor not only in the sauces, but in the chicken itself. My husband had their Pulled Pork and Rib combo, he was definitely a fan. This a solid 4 restaurant based on our dishes. Can't say much about the ambience or service as we ordered through DoorDash. Chips and Guacamole 5/5 ... Luckily I gave my husband the first chip of guacamole because when he came back for a dip it was almost gone. Very fresh and seasoned well and texture was on the creamy side not so chunky. The cheddar bacon burger 3/5 was a little bit dry it may have tasted better fresh from the kitchen . Honestly tasted like a whopper to me , what stood out the most was flamed aroma . Monte cristo 5/5 was one of the best I've had. Perfectly stuffed fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar . Batter was flavorful and strawberry jam made the difference. Bone in buffalo wings with mild sauce 3/5 can't give an accurate review as sauce was on the side . Otherwise it tasted like any other naked wing. My son enjoyed the kids chicken and waffles and burger sliders . Came in to watch a baseball game over dinner. We were able to get seated right away near the bar full of TVs playing multiple games. The server was able to change a tv near us to our game which was nice. They have little speakers on the table that way you can tune into the audio of the tv but we couldn't figure out how to work it. Server was fast and friendly. They have happy hour everyday too! I got a mojito and ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich as my meal. Food came out quickly and wow, I was quite impressed at the size of the chicken breast in my sandwich...HUGE! Wished it was better sauced in Buffalo sauce but overall still delicious. Wry short staffed on a Friday night at 7:30 is either a humans supply chain issue (worker) or a management issue. I'll select the latter based on the welcome we got (sarcasm). After nearly ten minutes of waiting at the empty entrance, listening to the hostess tell us how the bus boy was slow and the second hostess clocked out at 7pm and went home I felt the drama was thick. I just came for a few wings I told her. Once seated our waitress Brie was a sweetheart and attentive to our needs. Corporate emailed me the next day and stated that a managing partner would reach out to me which he did 2 days after I posted my review. A group of us came in for a friends birthday. We started at the bar having drinks waiting for a table which didn't turn out to be very long of a wait. I had the slam dunk margarita which was absolutely made perfectly, the sweet-and-sour mix was not over powering. The bartender provided excellent service and was very friendly. At the table I started out with their buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer. But after a few bites it was far from Buffalo chicken dip it was more like buffalo cheese dip there was one little piece of chicken in the dish. For my entrée I had the pulled pork and ribs which were very tasty. Service was superb every time we turned around our server was there accommodating everyone at the table. We ordered a side of the pretzels and wings... the wings were so salty that we couldn't eat them. My son and I wanted a quick, easy dinner, so we both decided why not let's go to Glory Days. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server took time to check in with us, but that is fine. The fries were well seasoned. The Lemonade had the weirdest taste. My son said it was sour and fizzy, and I found it "different." My concern with our visit was the service. Our server was assigned a table of 15+ people in the private room. Fine, but she already had a row of tables she was taking care of. I felt awful for her. At one point, I had to go to the bar and ask for water because she couldn't check in on us. Went for lunch with my mom today on Tuesday, 6/30/2020 and ordered the strawberry salmon salad which was DELICIOUS. Glad to have healthy options to choose from. The salmon was cooked perfectly. My mom also kept talking about how amazing her burger was. The service was very attentive and always on top of our refills. I wish I could remember the bartender's name but she was great. So let me just start by saying I am keto and was hesitant to come here just to eat the same things (wings, salad, burgers no bun, etc). Well to my suprise, I had an amazing cauliflower pizza that tasted like a BIG MAC! Holy crap was it good and sooooo filling. They have a fantastic selection for all kinds of eaters. I've eaten at this Glory Days at least a dozen times. It definitely has your standard sports bar vibe (in a good way). They have considerable outdoor seating including a horseshoe area. I have not sat out there more than once ever, but the bar is 360 degrees and half is part of the outside area. So, it definitely lends to the entire atmosphere in a good way. They have TVs available for every possible seat/view as you would expect. They have mobile/portable speakers at each table which is nice, though we've had one that doesn't work on more than one occasion. If the restaurant isn't packed you can just grab one from another table but still a tad irritating. The food is exactly what you would expect and the portions are large. They have a giant beer tube option in which you can get any draft beer. If you run the math you're better of just buying a glass or pitcher but what's the fun in that?? Finally, they have both indoor and outdoor areas which can easily accommodate a large party over 12 or even more. I don't know if they take reservations but I'd recommend doing so if you want to do this inside, there's really only one area for this. Maybe two. Glory Days Grill in Carrollwood was formerly a Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant which has been re-branded, or maybe they've changed ownership -- it's kind of tough to tell. There's new signage on the outside of the place, but once you step inside you'll see many of the same managers and staff. There are still flat-screen TVs all around the restaurant and bar area; and the menu has many of the same items. In fact the only obvious difference is the change in décor. Gone are the jerseys, photos, and trophies which belonged to #63, Lee Roy Selmon. In their place are generic sports-themed decorations. In a way it's kind of sad, as Selmon was one of the shining stars of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Hall of Fame defensive end was well-loved in the Tampa Bay region. His restaurant was filled with a lot of his down-home North Carolina charm, and many of the dishes were named after family members. Oh well, I guess this is considered progress... Glory Days Grill is an ownership chain out of the DC / Mid-Atlantic region, and they've thankfully not changed a lot about the menu. You'll still find fried green tomatoes, mac 'n cheese bites, Cajun gumbo, Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, pulled pork, baby back ribs, fried chicken, and meatloaf. Along with that are the flatbreads, rice bowls, salads, wings, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, chicken, salmon, mahi mahi, and the fish fry. They have a crab mac 'n cheese, and a hellfire bacon mac 'n cheese (if you prefer a bit of a kick to your artery-clogging side dish). I was there to watch some playoff football and have some dinner. As with most sports bars, there is an adjustable speaker at your table so that you can tune in the audio to whichever game you're watching. I settled in with a cup of their spicy gumbo and watched the Kansas City Chiefs slaughter the Houston Texans. The spice level was nice, but I still added a few splashes of Tabasco sauce to achieve my personal preferred level of heat. After that came the shrimp & sausage and grits entrée which turned out to be a plate of creamy and cheesy grits with grilled shrimp and sausage on top. Yum! You'll find Glory Days Grill at the north end of the long strip mall along Dale Mabry in Carrollwood. It's just south of Sweet Tomatoes, and across the road from 4Rivers. read more
