Being a loyal customer for over a year, today left a bad taste in my mouth. Being closed for business over thanksgiving weekend and not being able to cancel my appointment resulted in my card being charged $25 which I didn't authorize. I believe there could have been a better way to accommodate your clients, specially when you don't set us up for success, not having an alternative way to cancel appointments besides scrolling through my text message history trying to find the one week old auto-reply "reminder". I just had my third session yesterday, and I can say overall I am extremely impressed by how much fading has taken place over such a short amount of treatments. They offer one session for $98, 3 for $257, and 5 for $300-something. I bought two 3-packs because I knew my tattoos would need more than one treatment to erase (most tattoos need from 3-12 sessions to go away). Needless to say, it isn't cheap! But it is well worth the money, trust me. The laser feels like hot bacon grease being shot at your skin with a pellet gun, but the fridgid air they use beforehand REALLY helps to alleviate the pain! I always ask Ariana (my wonderful, sweet, informative technician) to double the amount of time she uses the cold air. While lasering, she keeps the cold air on, so toward the end of the session, everything sort of goes numb. I am very pleased to recommend this professional establishment staffed with highly caring and sweet, honest people. Lourdes, the front desk lady, is super nice and always in a great, cheery mood. If you have ever considered laser hair removal you have to go with New Look Aesthetics! I was very resistant as I wasn't sure of possible side effects. When I called New Look Aesthetics, I was quick to get off the phone and assume that I should go with a dermatologist or another route, but Lacy, their Director of Operations, was extremely patient with me. She calmed my nerves and stayed on the phone with me for over 20 minutes answering all my questions. Then when I decided to take the plunge, she sat with me in the consultation room and went over in detail about their incredible state-of-the-art laser and how to take care of my skin before and after the treatments. Another fun fact about New Look Aesthetics is they use a newer technology laser that shoots a mist of cryo (a cooling technique) to numb the skin a bit with each touch to the skin, which makes the process much more bearable! I went to this place for about a year. In that time, the people treating me changed three times (that means, 4 different people treated me). With each one, it was a completely different experience, they all seem to have completely different approaches, making up new stuff about why they do this or that, but the truth is none of them seemed particularly well informed beyond what they'd read in the manual for the machine. In fact, after one woman had treated me 3-4 times, her supervisor then treated me and said that woman would "observe"--so if she's in training, why the hell had she already treated me multiple times? I'd been sketched out before my treatments were up, but I'm writing this bad review because now that I've stopped going, and enough time has passed for me to really see the results, I can confirm that they don't know what they're doing--they made things worse. They assured me that there's nothing wrong with doing the face (both when I signed up, and later when I started asking questions because another laser technician told me it's not a great idea), and when I asked specifically if they'd ever heard of the hairs on the face growing back longer, they insisted that that doesn't happen. Well, since I'm no longer just waiting 4 weeks between treatments (because in 4 weeks the hair didn't grow back enough for me to see how bad it was) I can confirm that it is waaaay worse. The hairs are longer and way more noticeable than before, they're in more places on my face than before, and I'm disgusted because it never even occurred to me to do this treatment until they suggested it (I had been treating another area). There are multiple other ways these people screwed up during the time I went there, but the main and truly serious problem is that they are not qualified and do not know what they're doing. Please save yourself a headache and terrible, depressing results by going somewhere else. Don't let the low prices seduce you--they're that low for a reason. read more

Got a Groupon for fullface laser. It was a really good deal. You get eight sessions and I think it was around $129. I really wanted to get my lip and sparse other facial hairs removed. I have so far had seven of my eight sessions. In the beginning I started with one person who was doing all of my treatments. Apparently they let her go and now I have someone new. They both did decent jobs. I was never in any pain and don't really have much to complain about. It's kind of hard to get Saturday appointments though. They are usually booked up 4 to 5 weeks out. That would be my only complaint. Another thing that I did notice is that I feel like my hair started growing more after I started the laser treatments. Maybe it's just because I was looking at it more. But I was doing everything I was supposed to do. I think it's probably just in my head. Like I said overall a decent experience. She lasers the labia and inside the folds where the hair grows. The price is reasonable, they offer Groupon but the non Groupon prices are affordable. Very disappointed in this place... I was going for my 10th sessions on my arm they yet again changed management again... So the previous deal I have with the company is no longer valid.... I spend about 1500 with them and last session the front desk told me it will be 250 from now on since I hit the 10 sessions mark.... I was going in today to do my tattoo removal session new management lady come to me told me my tattoo site is not even near healing and I have been waiting for 10 weeks... She told me I have to wait another 12 weeks and she quoted me at least another 2200 but since I am with then for so long so therefore will be 1300???? I was promised 250 for 5 sessions with numbing cream.... How is this fair... I have been loyal and been with them through twice management changes and I can't believe that's how they treat their loyal customer.. I can't speak of others but my experiences with them makes me feel like they are just trying to get money out of me... Very very sad and disappointed I feel like they just don't want to treat me.... Had a consultation this past saturday(ther're open on saturdays...WOO HOO!) She was very professional and made my husband and I feel very comfortable. I told her I heard that the laser felt like a rubber band popping you in the back and she said "no, it's more like bacon grease." So she was very honest...people like that are hard to find! She showed us some package plans they had and said if I didn't need all the treatments that were recommended she would only charge us for the times we came in. Most people just want your $$$$$. The first two lasers didn't hurt "that bad" but the third one hurt like hell! She told me that if was too painful to tell her and she would stop and she would put more cooling air on it. It only took about 30min and she took her time and didn't rush through it. She also told me that they sell numbing cream and I can put that on my back one and half hours before i come in for the next visit. So I can use the numbing cream and cold air! The more help the better! I will see them again in two months(have to wait eight weeks for it to heal)! read more

My initial impression was good last December when I started. There has been a complete turnover in staff. I was concerned about treatment I had scheduled today. The technologist did not seem to understand how to work the laser and when I questioned her about the wavelengths of light and depth of skin penetration, she could not answer these questions. I am laser certified for other medical applications (not tattoo removal), but understand the technology.
