The onion rings, I asked the owner who said they aren't made on site but still had a nice batter and also stayed crunchy. Go go burger! The burger itself, they have lots of free toppings. Went here for lunch today. My office is a block away so it could be convenient. Let's see. So it's a burger joint. Limited menu but it covers the bases. They burgers are made to order, which seems to be a new trend, and a good me as far as I'm concerned. Their fries are cut when you order, no frozen fries here. So I ordered a double cheeseburger with sautéed mushrooms and onions. It was really good but way too much food. Next time, if there is a next time I'll order a single burger. Now I know everything is cooked fresh but I felt like it took a little too long to get our food then I think it should have. Only two other people in the restaurant and they already had there food. My typical order is a single burger with pepper jack cheese, sautéed mushrooms, onions, sweet pepper, tomato, lettuce, go sauce and hot sauce. There are more toppings you can choose from including avocado, fried eggs, different sauces, etc. I usually get an order of fries to share too. The fries are freshly cut and made. They serve it with the go sauce and ketchup. The price is pretty reasonable and I would consider this a gourmet burger. This place is cheaper than Five Guys, which is nearby. They ask you how it's cooked too! My boyfriend ordered the chicken special & it came with fries. I almost ordered another order of fries, but I'm glad I didn't because they gave so much that we didn't even end up finishing (between 3 people). The burger was juicy. Some places ask you how you want your burger done, but end up overcooking it anyway, but this isn't one of those places. They stayed true to the medium rare I ordered. I'm surprised a burger place offers a veggie option! This has to be my favorite burger spot around the area. It takes a lot to impress me because I absolutely adore the delightful flavors that you experience when you take a big bite into one of these. The veggie burger has a lot of flavor, unlike a lot of veggie burger you buy at your local grocery's frozen food section. There is a plethora of toppings one can choose from, and the fries are pretty good as well. If you would like to add another veggie patty to your burger, just ask! They will be happy to accompany your request. I can't comment on the meat burgers here because I am Vegan, but I would presume they are just as good. This place was GREAT when they first opened, but slowly got worse and worse. For the price it really isn't worth it and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. The most recent time we purchased from here it was for my whole family. We ordered 5 burgers and 3 sides and it came to over $70! All of the burgers came out cold, the buns were hard, and the toppings were gross. I got avocado on mine and the avocado was brown with black streaks, meaning it had not only sat out for too long but it was old! My entire family got sick the next day too. I attempted to call the restaurant after our gross experience and a young kid picked the phone and said that there was nothing they could do if we didn't have the burgers still. We will definitely NOT be going back here and will tell everyone I know not to go here as well. If there was some type of customer service to assist or offer compensation I would consider coming back, but the last time we went was gross! read more

I have been going to this burger joint for a couple of years. At the beginning I had no issues. They did a great job. House cut fries with an enormous portion. Tasty burgers and toppings. Wonderful onion rings. The best part was the burger was meaty and cooked to temperature. Unfortunately all good things come to an end. Ordered my burger rare, with fries and onion rings. Burger was medium well which I could have gotten for half the price at McDonald's. The fries portion was half the size it used to be and the were barely warm. Even at that they tasted as if the they were cooked three times rather than the normal two for fresh cut fries. They were rubbery. The only redeeming thing was they still have great onion rings. Well this is the story of our little dinner trip to Go Burger. After shopping at a local Walmart with two good friends of mine, one of which who recently moved in to Stony Brook, we mustered up a food craving. Unfamiliar with the area, we turned to our trusty friend Yelp to help our indecisive minds make a decision. Go Burger immediately caught our eyes due to it's price range and it's reputation. Besides, you can't really go wrong with a classic burger. Go Burger seemed like a very popular site amongst the locals. The environment was very family friendly and casual which is a good basic formula for a place to eat, relax, and have a good conversation. The prices were very reasonable compared to competitors like Shake Shack and Five Guys. With reasonable prices comes an urge to splurge. So I ended up balling out. Before I get to the actual food part, we have to talk about the all important service topic. Overall, the service was very good. The ladies manning the registers were very patient and friendly. A big plus was the fact that we actually did not have to stand and wait for our food like other typical burger joints. We were told we could just sit down and they'll bring the meals to us. Definitely very helpful for people who are scared of losing a spot when the opportunity arrives. Food Time! I ordered a Double Burger with god knows how many toppings on it with a side of Tater Tots. As for my drink, I decided to pull through with the classic shake route and got myself a Nutella Shake. I have to say, the food was actually pretty darn good especially considering it's price point. Even though I was overwhelmed by my Double Burger concoction, the flavors blended fairly well. I also have to mention that you are able to choose how your burger is made. Tots were great when dipped in their signature sauce. The Nutella Shake was very tasty and this is coming from a Nutella Addict. It wasn't extremely Nutella heavy which is a good thing and it had just the right amount of ingredients mixed in. Final Verdict, Go Burger is definitely worth a shot. A little underwhelming...was in the mood for a quality burger that I didn't have to make myself, saw lots of great reviews here so decided to try Go Burger. Spent $150 on 5 burgers, 5 fries and three shakes - for that price you would think it would be a delicious meal. So the burgers are a decent size - no complaint there, however they were tasteless. It was like eating a great big chunk of nothing with ketchup on top. On mine I requested sautéed onions and American cheese. These cheese and onions were also tasteless - the onions were boiled not sauteed. The fries would have been good, however they were soggy, not crispy- soggy fries are a huge let down to me - again though, they give you a lot in your order. My kids got shakes which they did give a thumbs up to because they were both thick and tasty. The kids had chili cheese fries which they liked and like the other items, very large - had we known the chili cheese fries were so large we wouldn't have gotten burgers for the kids. All in all, this place isn't worth the hype and for food that is only ehhh in taste definitely not worth the price. read more
