Came here today and got a double cheeseburger with go sauce, American cheese and sautéed onions, a large fry, an iced tea and a chipwich. First the burger was very heavy, and the go sauce didn't really help with that, but it still tasted good (I wasn't able to finish it). The fries tasted just like Five Guys fries, down to the salt even. The iced tea had to be the most disappointing in that it just tasted like the Lipton or 4C powdered iced tea mix, but was fine. The chipwich was where it's all at. The cookies tasted freshly baked, and although it was very messy, it was definitely worth it and amazing. Will probably come back but I'd be getting a single burger and small fry to save room for that amazing chipwich! Thanks! read more

This is probably my new favorite burger joint! You get to choose how you like your burger cooked and the fries are delicious. The shake was a little too thick for my liking, but still tasty. Their homemade sauce for the fries was very good and the service was great. The girls at the counter are very nice and delivered our food to the table when it was ready. A single burger with a few toppings, fries and a shake is a substantial meal! No need to get the double patty. My only hope for this place would be to have more seating on the busier nights (Friday). read more

Go Burger is my absolute FAVORITE spot for lunch/dinner. I love how creative they get every week with their special burgers and shakes. My boyfriend and I order at least once a week. I usually get a veggie burger wrap with a ton of custom toppings, and he usually gets the special of the week. I also LOVE the homemade dressing for the salad. Lucky for me I only live 5 minutes from the mount Sinai location and a filling meal is super affordable! read more

A trip out east and some hungry bellies brought Joanna L. and me to Go Burger, thanks in part to a local search on Yelp for some hearty sustenance that prompted me to find Bill S.'s (and others') positive review of this place. Upon arriving, Joanna L. and I took a quick look at the menu and noticed how the ordering process was similar to Five Guys: you pick a single or double patty (although here you get to choose how you like it cooked), cheese, toppings (some, including avocado and bacon, are $1 extra), and sauces. Much like Five Guys, burgers are served ala carte, so fries, onion rings, drinks and more are all served separately. Some interesting items on the menu include a bag of donuts (served with warm chocolate and vanilla dipping sauces for $5), cheesesteaks, chicken fingers, salads, Coca Cola products served in old fashioned glass containers (my favorite), AND beer on tap (you heard that right, including Goose Island and Blue Point Brewing Company - way to go guys!). Prices here are not bad at all, either. Joanna and I each ordered a single burger (no extra-cost toppings), drinks, and a large fry to split for $21. I also loved the service here. Every one on the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. In this respect, I also give Go Burger one star above Five Guys. Staff members walk around cleaning tables and bring food to you when it's ready (rather than calling numbers and you having to walk back up to the counter). Ambiance here is also enjoyable. They have a few tables outside in the shade for those warm summer days, and inside they have some awesome black-and-white aerial photos of NYC and Long Island, including Shea Stadium, old & new Yankee stadium side-by-side, Stony Brook, Port Jefferson and more. Unlike some places that can make you feel rushed, I also felt very relaxed and comfortable in this place. So how's the food? Very good! I would definitely compare the food to Five Guys, with burgers and fries cooked fresh on demand (you can even see boxes upon boxes of potatoes in the back). The burgers are juicy and compare to Five Guys quality. The fries are also similar - greasy, salty and soft without being too limp - although here they are also served with some kind of garlic mayo sauce compliments of the house (another bonus point for Go Burger). Overall, I would strongly recommend this place. I will definitely come back next time I'm out in the area! read more

I used to love this place but I keep giving it another try and the last 6-10 times I ate there I didn't enjoy it. The burgers have been dry and just tase like a frozen patty warmed up. They also never make it right whether you ask for rare or medium they seem to make it how they want. I keep going back because I used to love it and for convenience of it being so close. I wont make that mistake anymore. I am not going to pay as much as they charge for a burger that I can make better on my own stove. read more

I love itttt!!!!! Never knew this place existed and kinda ran into it while starving on a rainy night. It's just like five guys except less corporate and more delicious - you can chose your burger type and how many patties and all of your toppings although unlike five guys each topping is an additional cost as far as avocado or bacon and things like that (still totally worth it) my mouth is actually watering just thinking about it - they've got fries and onion rings as well as milk shakes !! Very old school 50's diner esque which makes for a cool atmosphere - they also do easy take out to go's and it only took 5-10 minutes to come out and the go sauce was sooooooo delicious! We ordered a single burger, double burger with toppings and large fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, it was juicy and the hand cut fries were delicious!!! Not oily, perfectly seasoned to taste. The female staff that took our order was very friendly and helpful. I haven't been here in a long time, it actually got even better if that's possible. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it is a bit pricey for the portion size. You have to pay for the burger and side separately, so it adds up quick. Was driving to a doctors appointment and made a quick decision to have lunch. With the influx of burger restaurants that have hit the market in the last 5 years, this privately run business has figured out how to set themselves apart from the herd. The meat was fresh, the portion sizeable and the sides I selected made the burger complete. The small fries came in a cool bag and it appeared that someone took the time to make sure they fit perfectly. If you have followed my yelp account before, you should know that it is know secret that cheeseburgers are my weakness...Which explains my excited and high expectations for Go-Burger! I am glad to say that they were met today! Go-Burger is simply a good, classic, burger joint. Their service was relatively quick, and I found the restaurant itself to be really clean and 'hip!' I also really appreciated how their "small" fountain coke was 3x bigger than sodas considered 'large' at most places. As for the food, their bacon cheeseburger was well cooked and non-burnt. I ate the entire thing and did not feel sick afterwards. Their french fries were salted really nicely and had a homemade quality to them! I do not understand the rave reviews. Yes, great service and clean establishment but that's about it. Had a double cheeseburger. Sounds crazy but it seemed like way too much meat and flavorless to boot, aside from the toppings. Bun turned to mush, fell apart. Maybe the single is where it's at? Onion rings were very good. This has been my second time dining at Go Burger. Being that I have experience in this type of food service I was rather disappointed in the customer service. The counter staff is entirely unwelcoming and cold towards the customers. When taking orders four of the five did not smile and seem to have an attitude and no patience, making the interaction extremely uncomfortable. Meanwhile, when not helping customers they were chatting and goofing off in the back. In addition to the lack of good service, both burgers on my order where undercooked. However, the food was of good quality. I will think twice before coming here again. My suggestion would for them to hold an employee meeting on how to interact with customers in a friendly and patient manner. read more

So, my first time ordering from the company and I loved every bite that I took. I ordered the veggie burger and sweet potatoes fries and it came with some type of sauce that was sweet but had a hint of mayonnaise ... either way the combination was GREAT! I have nothing bad to say. I also see that they have options for people like myself who are vegetarians.
