The restaurant is also really cramped and tight. Unfortunately, we had to wait over 30 minutes for seating because most of their tables are two-top tables. And we came with 4 people. We ordered their Beef Tendon Noodle, traditional hand pulled beef noodle, stir fried tomato beef noodle, and their Chicken Chow Mein. As for appetizers, we got their bbq traditional chicken wings, BBQ pork belly, and their teppan squid. This time, I thought everything tasted really good. Last time, my complaint was that the hand pulled noodles were way too soft and overcooked. But this time, I asked for a thicker noodle and it came out perfect. It had a nice chew to it and wasn't overcooked. But the stand out for me was actually their stir fried tomato beef noodle and their chicken chow mein. I vastly prefer these two compared to their beef soup noodles. It just has a stronger flavor profile that suits my taste buds more. As for the appetizers, skip the chicken wings. It was $8 for 4 tiny pieces and It's just not worth it. The Teppan Squid and their BBQ pork belly were both AMAZING. It is really strong and flavorful so I would only recommend them if you like strong bold flavors with a bit of spicy kick. Overall, this time I really enjoyed my meal and we got 2 free noodle dishes! I do think the prices are reasonable for the location they are in. They also still charge 2.4% for using your credit card which is quite disappointing.

The dish comes with a thick flat super chewy ribbon noodle. It doesn't look like a big portion, but the noodles never seem to end! We particularly loved the aromatic garlicy spicy oil, which was full of umami and slightly sweet. It coated the noodles perfectly without making it seem like a noodle soup. The spice doesn't hit you at first, but sure enough it comes back with a vengeance. Be cautious if you decide to up the spice levels! It comes with quite a bit of seafood - scallops, baby abalone and crawfish tails. We've never really had crawfish tails in Chinese cuisine, so this was quite interesting. Make sure to suck on the tail before you de-shell to really get all the umami, and then dip the tail back into the spicy oil for a burst of flavour. Surprisingly, the chewy texture of the seafood complemented the noodles really well. Customer service here is impeccable. We saw nearby tables with phone holders, which we suspect you can request if you want to eat and watch your videos in peace. The staff also hand out individually packaged plastic bibs and gloves to avoid the oil from slashing onto your clothes and will top up your napkin supply without asking. The restaurant has a couple of tables but noticeably, some long benches that run throughout. We were sat in the middle, and were asked kindly by the Owner to move to the end of the table once a bigger party arrived. We had no issues with this, but the Owner decided to give us free pop and apologized for the inconvenience. So nice! Little surprise - there's a Beef Noodle Special after 8:30pm on Monday-Thursday. "Authentic hand pulled noodles in slow-simmered beef bone broth". Sounds like music to my ears - can't wait to come back and try this one out.

On a snowy, slushy late afternoon, I blindly (and slowly) drove my way aimlessly to Aurora. I remember some Asian restaurant getting rave reviews up in Aurora and that being Noodle Max (maybe it wasn't so aimless). If you are someone who believes in destiny, I can tell you destiny will occasionally give you sxxxxy things. Noodle Max would be one of them. Noodle Max's main offerings are Lan Zhou style noodles and was it ever an unauthentic and underwhelming experience. I wouldn't go as far to say the soup was tasteless like water, but it's pretty bland. While the soup for Lan Zhou noodles are not generally crazy strong in flavour, it should still have the taste of spices. The beef slices were also pretty tame in flavour. They were ok. The main plus about their noodle was the portion; quite big. The noodle had better texture than most store bought noodles, but it did not have the proper floury taste and the limited flavours from the soup was not able to hang onto the noodles. They are known for their unlimited egg noodle refills and was truly ready to devour many bowls. It is a nice noodle shop, plenty of tables and a bright atmosphere inside. I go to try out the Sichuan Style Beef Brisket. For all their noodle soups, you have the option to adjust your spice and numbing level. I got it with egg noodles, mild spicy, and mild numbing to create some flavour. It was truly an excellent bowl full of flavour from the soup and a perfect balance of fattiness and tender for the beef brisket. Service was also quite quick and the noodle soups came out very fast. Overall, this place is great for quick bite with hungry friends and has truly many options to check out from their dry noodles, signature series and fun sides. Worth coming back!

They were running a nice promotion during end Dec2025: if your bill hits $40, they give you two $10 coupons for 2026, valid until February. We'll definitely be coming back to use those together! If you are a member, you will still get a 10% off too, that's what we got that day. This time, I couldn't have my usual spicy Rice Noodle Soup with Beef Slides & Enoki Mushroom because of some dental pain, so I tried the Tomato Rice Noodle Soup with Beef Slides & Enoki Mushroom instead - my first time ordering it. Honestly, it was surprisingly tasty; the tomato broth was rich and comforting, not at all what I expected from a simple noodle soup. The beef was tender, the enoki added a nice texture, and the portion was as generous as always, especially the meat. As usual, the value here is solid - big bowls, lots of toppings, and that little bonus of a free ice cream after your noodles, which always feels like a nice treat. It's not a fancy place, but it's reliable, comforting, and perfect after a long game when you just want a hot, satisfying meal. That said, a few of us still felt pretty thirsty after eating the noodles. The noodles aren't the same as the ones in the standard dish. Also comes with the pickled chinese mustard and bok choy. Would definitely come back for this dish. I think it was $16.99, maybe $3-4 more than their known for dish. Also the free ice cream... the cone itself is soo good. They need to work on their table arrangements, because they could definitely fit more patrons and bring down the wait time/line up.
