I had the best experience at Acura this time I went. I called Friday to get oil change however they were fully booked and was told to go early morning on Saturday for walk in. they would keep the car all day probably but could be done early. They would call me and keep me posted. I spoke to Randy over the phone and met him when I went to the dealer. Professional and outstanding service is the least I could say. He went above and beyond. He ordered a lyft to take me home as they didn't have loaners. Totally understandable as it was same day service so was not expecting it. He kept me posted throughout the day about updates about the car. Car was ready 4 hours later. Called to ask I needed shuttle/lyft back. I didn't have a lot of time, and they respected my time. I told them what I wanted to do, they showed me the straight numbers and what they thought the fees and taxes would be, and I approved. Then, their paperwork / finance expert actually said it would be lower! When have you had a car sales team come in lower than they estimated. And no gimmicks. The last place I tried to buy from. recently went in for my usual oil change and a recall fix. i got a call while they were working on my vehicle that i needed over $9k in repairs. they wanted me to agree to a $400 battery on the phone asap i said no, put the battery back in, i can get one at costco. they then claimed i needed a new timing belt. only to find out a 2019 RDX has a timing chain, NOT a timing belt. and IT DIDNT NEED TO BE REPLACED OR REPAIRED. I recently visited Gold Coast Acura to take my son to look at vehicles in pursuit of his first car. However, the whole experience ended incredibly frustrating, and we ultimately left the establishment with a negative impression. The sales rep, Ryan Brack, began the process with a smile, a handshake, and the words "I'll go to war to help you get this car." Unfortunately, it ended it with my son and I exiting his office and him balling up the projected quotes and attempting to 'Kobe' them in a nearby wastebasket (ultimately missing, btw). Ryan was completely dismissive when I asked about a questionable sound coming from the rear of the vehicle following the test drive and proceeded to try and distract my son with the bells and whistles, such as heated seats and the sound system. Smh While discussing possible terms and down payment options, he proceeded to dismiss my input and ultimately disregard my son's wishes to take some time to think about his choices. Stating that the vehicle would most certainly be gone before the end of the weekend! That's when he seemed to switch to a more sarcastic and abrasive demeanor, going to lengths to bring up our previous visit to another dealership and inquire about the results! Once again, my son expressed interest in having further time to consider the purchase and potentially visit additional dealerships to "look around." With obvious discontent, Ryan sarcastically responded, "Oh you've been looking around", but I'll ask the owner if there's anything else we can do. At this point my son and I agreed it was time to leave as we both felt highly pressured, misled, and ultimately disrespected. Let me mention, however, the owner of the dealership (Darin Glinski) immediately attempted to call my son and inquire about the situation. Upon talking with him and explaining what transpired, he made a few comments and seemingly helpful suggestions moving forward. Made an appointment for a service on my 2022 MDX. I was told I should have a tire rotation and alignment. I totally agree I always have at least rotation when oil is changed. The price for oil change, tire rotation and alignment was over $300.00 I believe $315.00. The oil change was $117.77. I thought the rotation and alignment was far to much. I called Americas tires and its $99.00 tire rotation is zero. I then received a call that my battery was low so they were putting it on a super charge? I've had 10 or 12 Acuras and they have always put in a new battery. I was told it would be up to as much as 3 hours to get this done. I waited in the waiting room and got angrier by the minute. I have had many service appointments here and it has steadily gone downhill. I have bought two vehicles from this dealership and brought a friend in who bought an MDX. I went in two days after he bought his MDX to buy and the salesman would not honor the price so I left and purchased in Sherman Oaks. Today I watched a woman get a ride home my friend who bought his MDX got a loaner car. I have received ZERO. I sat and waited for the battery to be charged. I have an appointment in Bakersfield on December 1st for the dentist. I now have an appointment for tire rotation $15. alignment $99 $10 off coupon $89. at Bakersfield Acura. I understand Ventura has higher prices. I just feel this dealership has no customer service and does not value in any way a reliable multi purchase customer. I am disgusted with the service. I bought two Acuras here since 2005. That's how reliable and wonderful the performance and longevity of these vehicles are. I had a TL now a TLX. While my friend struggles with maintenance issues with her new Mercedes Benz, my 2021 Acura TLX is purring like a kitten. Now for the Service Department review. I NEVER EVER take my car anywhere else for service. They all treat you with kid gloves and are honest, fair, and fast! I live 30 miles away so can't pop in for questions but when I call with a support question they act as if I'm there in person. Randy just helped me with a question I had... I pressed the wrong button and messed up a setting. He patiently looked it up in the Owner's Manual as it's overwhelming for this 73 year old lady. He walked me through and fixed it really fast. I don't know any service departments or individuals that would do that! It's difficult for many women to feel respected in the automotive world but Randy and the team at Gold Coast Acura go above and beyond for their customers--male and female. On Aug 25th, I related an experience with Gold Coast Acura of Ventura CA. I was disappointed regarding an agreed-upon settlement that we had reached regarding the unnecessary installation of a battery. On my credit card statement, it appeared that the agreed credit was issued, then invalidated, leaving the original charge. I was disappointed and shocked as I have been doing business with Gold Coast for over 14 years, with the purchase of a car and having two cars regularly serviced. Rather than get into a match with the firm, I opted to eat the cost, remembering that I was dealing with an auto dealership in 2025. When I recently checked my credit card statement, I was pleasantly surprized as the credit appeared , as agreed. Contacting the credit card issuer, I was told that often there are hoops to be jumped through to record a credit. In any case I want to commend Gold Coast for keeping their promise and restoring my faith in a firm with whom I've had an honest and lasting relationship. The service dept is terrible! First I go to the service center for service and I mention that my hood seemed not to close properly. Service rep asked if the car was in an accident to which I replied, no, the car is almost brand new! Without telling me or even asking me, the service rep ran a Car Fax to verify that I was telling the truth!! He informed me to correct the problem that it most likely was not under warranty!!! Fortunately, the Gold Coast Body Shop was amazing and stated this issue happens all the time and corrected the issue. I was extremely unhappy that a service rep informed me that he ran a CarFax, without my approval or even telling me, to confirm that my car was not in a accident!!!! After all this, I continued to take my MDX S Type in for maintenance service as they are my local dealer. I took my car in to get checked as there is a popping noise in the front end when turning right and to do a maintenance service. I had to wait as they are understaffed in the service dept. I explained the situation to the new service rep while his main concern was that my MDX with 33,000 miles would not be covered under warranty and had to wait for a supervisor to approve service under warranty!!! I was informed that they could not find the problem! After I picked up my car the front end noise was still there! I had a 8:30 appt. For a simple oil change & tire rotation. I showed up at 7:55 wanting to leave my car off a little early so I could get to a dentist appt. (I had my own ride). I was rudely told by the Service mgr. that they did not open till 8:00 and since my appt. was at 8:30 I would have to wait till then to talk with the advisor. Evidently Acura's Service Dept. I went back yesterday and since they had my information in their system and I said I would be willing to make a deal if numbers made sense, to them it was me giving consent to run my credit again which was not the case I did not verbally request it or physically sign another document especially when we did not agree on a deal and I mentioned I would be bringing my own check in, I was disappointed to find out that my credit had been ran after I left the dealership. Finally got a hold of the original sales person Sebastian that sold the car to me and he was rude. He passed me onto Kyle, he was attentive, but when I got there, I still did not receive what was promised. The service team was great. They were polite and very attentive and explained everything very thoroughly when what was done to the car. It's disappointing to walk in and be treated so well then after the purchase is done get passed around and the original salesman Sebastian being rude.
