    Philly Cheese Steak with Fries
    Richard Walton C.

This has to be the weirdest pancake house I've seen. I think it must have something else originally. There is a full bar, a large wine rack and the dining room is dark like it use to be nighttime establishment. Since they close at 3 pm, I'm not sure a bar is needed. Okay, read Ken's review and it will explain Haley B's and mine "weird vibe." I don't see any evidence it still reopens as a steakhouse inside, there isn't any Yelp listing for a steakhouse that I can find. Ken's review is over five years old but it clears up the mystery about the dining rooms and bar. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak without the mushrooms. It came with fries. Do not be put off by the overcooked appearance of the fries. They are actually very good. The sandwich was very good too and pretty (see photo). They used three or four colors of bell peppers. Service from Nathaly was speedy. I was in and out in about 35 minutes. That includes the time to make the sandwich. Pretty awesome for a table service restaurant in my opinion. Restroom was clean and stocked but only single use available. Parking was no issue in the large shared parking area.

First time my fiancée & I have tried Gold. First thing we liked were roomy booths! We both thought the food was very good. My eggs , sausage & French toast were all cooked properly & fresh. My fiancée really enjoyed her Rueben stating the meat was more deli then lunch meat quality. Her fries were ok. Our server Michell was fantastic. Touched the table numerous times during the meal & checked to make sure our food came out hot & tasted good. 3 minor quibbles key it from being 5 stars. The ketchup was an off brand & had a displeasing taste. The sweet tea was not good at all. They charge 3% more for card instead of cash. Overall though we really enjoyed it & will be back! Pro tip: Not on the menu but they will put cheddar cheese on your scrambled eggs. But those items are

Awesome spot for breakfast. Clean facility, fast & courteous service. We had biscuits and gravy, pancakes, skillets, and breakfast plates. Everything was delicious. Definitely go links over patties.

We landed on Gold Coffee Pancake House after attempting to get in at another breakfast joint. I'm glad we ended up here! The Bloody Mary was delicious it was done properly IMP with the bacon, cheese and pickle toppings!! We tried the biscuit plate and a breakfast burrito. First impression was it looked bland but we were happily surprised with the taste! There are signs on the front door and booths saying 1 hour max dining time due to short staff.. it was a bit slow almost a full hour from when we sat down to when our food came out. Other than the sign on the wall we didn't feel rushed to get out. Over all service was good. Ambiance was cool the place is a lot bigger than expected from outside appearance. Cheers!

The food is amazing and the restaurant is incredibly clean. Staff is always very friendly and the price isn't insane so I like coming here. I've ordered DoorDash from here many times as well. I always get the Mexican eggs benny and I tried the huevos divorciados for a change.

This diner is located in a small strip mall with tons and tons of parking. It has a very large dining area with a few television around. They also have a small bar with seating. The menu has everything and the kitchen sink in it. All you breakfast and lunch favs. There is steak, burgers, pancakes, crepes, waffles, chicken and much much more. They also have booze. I was tempted to get a mimosa, but opted for some water instead. The diner also has Bloody Marys, Margaritas, and beer. It was really hard for me to narrow down what I wanted. After a long deliberation, I decided to go with the cinnamon roll french toast with a side of corned beef hash and bacon. It did not take long for them to prepare my meal. I would say it took about 5 minutes and it was sitting in front of me. The food was delicious. The french toast tasted just like a cinnamon roll. My only complaint was that they were small. The bacon was perfect, not too crunchy and not too chewy. It was very good and did not last long at all. I will have to say that my meal was dipping over into the pricier side, as compared to other diners that I have eaten. The staff here, does their job. They are not rude by any means and not over friendly or chatty. They are the middle of the road. This diner has some really good food. I would recommend checking this place out.

    Mexican Omelette

This place was packed - I guess we missed the bandwagon until now. Even though it was busy, we got seated right away. Our server, Isaias, was super friendly along with the other staff. I had the chilaquiles, my breakfast fav. The green salsa was a good amount of spicy and the guacamole was delicious. It was a little bit greasy but I didn't mind one bit. My brother liked his Mexican omelette and my mom enjoyed the biscuits and gravy.

The food was amazing, the service was good and the atmosphere was nice. I'm don't live in Indy but will be back to try their lunch menu next time.

    Mexican Skillet
    Jorge Alberto P.

My colleagues decided on having brunch a little ago and picked this place. A little far from my neighborhood but wa worth the trip. This is mainly a breakfast place that offers the usual dishes however their touch whike preparing those skillets and the friendly staff makes a big difference from the rest of restaurants. I tried the Mexican skillet which is a mixture of eggs chorizo and hash browns. I was surprised to learn that with every breakfast they serve either a couple of pancakes or french toast. I loved the taste of those big and well made pancakes. During these covid times staff was wearing gloves and face masks all the time so don't worry about hygiene and come try this place.

There is lots of parking available and lots of tables to stay and dine in. We got one of the tables in a nook area which was really nice. The back area with most of the booths had too many people in it at all times, which stressed us out. I felt like couldn't really look at everything and often had to wait awkwardly to the side until other people finally moved out of the way. I ended up getting a new permanent bracelet after one of mine broke a couple weeks ago. I hadn't looked at the vendor lineup before coming, but had hoped there would be a permanent jewelry booth there and was very happy to see Golden Era. The owner was so nice and told me that Milk & Honey often lets her come by for events, so that's nice to know when going back to get coffee again. We also got a couple of gorgeous floral shortbread cookies from a vendor and had them as a nice little treat the next day. Despite how busy/packed it was, it was still very fun to have the event to browse while sipping on a coffee. I also loved the booth diversity- a fresh flower booth to make bouquets, cookies, permanent jewelry, antiques, vintage jewelry, a few clothing booths, custom press on nails, candles, a mini bookstore outside, and a pet bandana shop outside as well. For coffee, I ordered The Eddie (sea salt caramel macchiato) and my husband ordered The Milk & Homey (cinnamon + honey). The Eddie was definitely sweeter than The Milk & Honey, but both were very tasty! They had a super cute "whimsy bar" set up at the pickup side of the counter to bedazzle your coffee. This was my first time there, so I'm not sure if this was just for the event or not. We also each ordered a turkey caprese sandwich with a side of kettle chips, but they were a little disappointing. They were supposed to be on sourdough, but came out on white bread instead that kept sticking to our teeth and made the sandwich mush together when biting into it. Would love to come back and try a different sandwich or maybe a baked good next time instead.

My daughter is on a gluten free diet and seeing no GF offerings on the menu she ate before we went but joined us for the experience. Our reservation was for 12:30. We were seated within a few minutes. Our waitress, Ashlyn, arrived and introduced herself, promising to be back soon. 30 minutes later she returned and asked if we would like water. We said water and menus would be nice. 30 minutes later she brought a carafe of water and the menus. We had plenty of time to discuss the menu. When she returned she sat down in our extra chair and talked about the selections and made suggestions for us. Then told us to think about what we wanted and she would be back. 30 minutes later she returned and asked if we knew what we wanted. My sister told her we would like to order now. My granddaughters and I ordered the petite tea, consisting of a cup of soup, sandwich, scones and sweet treats, and tea. We all chose the baked potato soup, sweet and spicy turkey croissant, and vanilla almond tea - all served on a tiered tray. My GF daughter ordered a cup of tea. My sister ordered separately. Our tea pot was delivered and we waited for our order. Our waitress appeared 30 minutes later and asked if we needed anything. My sister said yes, we would like our orders. Our waitress apologized for the wait and said there was a mix up in orders in the kitchen. She reminded us that she did not prepare the food, just served it. Our food finally arrived. The cup of soup is literally a tea cup of soup and while it was delicious, it was 3 teaspoons of soup - which we used the same spoons we used for our tea as there were no soup spoons. The turkey croissant was grilled and flavorful, also 3 bites. The tea was now cold but the sweets were very tasty. When our waitress reappeared, she apologized for the long wait and offered to take half off my daughter's tea and noted that we would also save the tax that would be charged on the $5.00 tea. My sister told her that was not acceptable, that she thought half off the entire table was customary in the restaurant world, keeping in mind we have been there over 3 hours. The waitress said she would talk to the manager, then came back and asked us to meet the manager at the register. We ended up receiving half off the entire bill and there was half off for my daughter's tea. 3 stars for adjusting the bill and for the delicious food, that's 2 stars less than my previous glowing review for making my granddaughters first "tea room" experience less than stellar.

I gave a different review back when the company had a different name (Roots to Rise) - same ownership - and I hadn't been impressed with their coffee or açaí bowls. With the new branding, I figured I'd visit again & stick to juices. They quickly became my post-yoga stop on weekends. I would have went before work on weekdays but they aren't open early enough for that. Today after I ordered I was warned there were a few orders ahead of me. That knowledge before ordering would have been more helpful. Normally a 5 minute wait or so, I was guessing a 15 minute wait would be reasonable. I went outside listened to 3 songs, back in, still no drink, went back out- 2 more songs, back in, still nothing. Ordered at 11:15, drink was done at 11:51. I think good business would have been upping my size for free, or a coupon, or even a thanks for your patience. A simple, "Thanks," while kind enough, caught me off guard. Any gesture to recognize that wait was unreasonably long would have sufficed. The juice was still delicious, I can't lie. I don't know if it's staffing (2 employees on Sat. morning- no Now Hiring sign tho) or what, but if you are in any kind of time crunch, I'd probably avoid the wait. If you are on vacation time- by all means- go enjoy their offerings. I realize it's what comes with a small business, but also something to recognize an unusually long wait would also be a small business quality. I'm disheartened by this. Greenwood is very slack on fresh juice options, although I saw an Ever-Well going in on 31.
