Stopped through the Gold Star Chili drive-thru and it was exactly what you want when you're craving something quick, hot, and satisfying. The line moved faster than expected, and the staff kept things friendly and efficient. Ordered a couple cheese coneys and a 3-way, and everything came out fresh and put together right. The coneys had that classic snap with plenty of chili and cheese, and the 3-way was loaded without being sloppy. You can tell they didn't just throw it together and rush it out the window. One thing I appreciated was that the order was actually correct sounds simple, but drive-thru accuracy can be hit or miss these days. Vegetarian chili!!!! Whaaaattt???!????!!???!! I never expected to find a vegetarian protein source at a fast food window in KY! I had the Gordito and Garlic Parmesan Fried. I really liked them both. I loved the Fritos crunch in the gordito... but I was comparing it with Taco Bell products in my mind. The ingredients definitely tasted of much higher quality than Taco Bell. The fries were good too, the garlic Parmesan sauce was amazing! I definitely wanted more of it. I don't know if the pricing has always been the way it is or if it's the crazy inflation of 2023, but the pricing of the food felt a bit high. I paid around $12 for the 2 items I bought. I see myself coming back to Gold Star to try out other options with the vegetarian chili. read more

Gold Star holds a special place in my childhood memories. I have to have some every time I'm in the Cincinnati area. The bread is soft, chili is tasty, and the cheese is piled on. The server was very nice and even though it was lunchtime they weren't overly crowded. The ambiance is like any other fast food place but the floors and tables are kept clean. read more

Small portion on a Regular size. Why is it Cincy Chili stores are skimping on what has to be the cheapest ingredients for any restaurant?

Tasted onut very watery and a regular was so small. It was probably less than one inch in depth. Not overly filling so I was greatful for crackers. Won't be going back. read more

I actually enjoyed this restaurant. I tried similar competition but like it here. Staff were friendly and kind. Most importantly fast and delivered excellent service. I had chilli dogs and asked for it without the bun. NO PROBLEM. Also got the chilli salad mmm mmm good! Took leftover chilli dogs home because I just wanted a taste and was dining alone so couldn't share it. Yah ha! Lucky! I didn't have to share!! Ate leftovers for dinner. :). I stopped by here for a carry out. I don't normally come to this place because I'm not a big fan of chili. However, to my surprise they have other options in their menu like salads and sandwiches. The place is clean and the workers seemed polite and appropriate during my visit there. I ordered the harvest pecan chicken salad, double decker sandwich and chili cheese fries. The ordering and making my food was fast, I think I was in and out in 15 minutes. I was excited to dig in my salad, but I was a little disappointed because I noticed some of the lettuce were old- transparent/ welted with discoloration. Nothing special about the salad or the dressing. My husband was happy with his sandwich, but disappointed with his fries- the fries were under- done, so he ended dumping them. What a waste. I like this place because it supports our local police, and I heard they can come in and eat here for free (not sure about this). read more

I got there an hour before they closed and said their fryer was "down" when in reality they just already cleaned up for the night. When I pulled in they made it seem as if they were closed with all the lights off. They we're also just sitting there on their phones. read more

I went through the drive thru and ordered 3 super 3-ways, after returning home I opened the bag and there was no cheese for the 3-ways in my bag. I called the store and John the manager on duty put me on hold and then hung up on me. I tried to call back for 30 minutes and the line was busy. After returning to the store John the manager said that the phone died, he then proceeded to just try to hand my husband cheese out the window and refused to remake the 3-ways as they would be cold by the time we got home for the second time. This location is literally across the road from us so we visit it monthly at the very least. Most of the time, the service is just fine, but we have had a few hiccups there. Other than that, it's your usual Gold Star Chili. read more

Their food is OK, but no matter what time you go there, their drive-through is as slow as molasses!
