Not a bad price for 3-4 mouths.

Golden Chick in Leander, comes to the rescue for Friday night dinner for the family. We love the $13.99, 10 piece Legs and Thighs and just add the sides we want. I especially like their battered fries. But not too many make it home for the meal. The servers take precautions to protect you and themselves. The chicken is crispy and juicy. You can get your chicken Fried or for a healthier choice, rotisserie. They always get my order right. I've tried their Chicken Salad sandwich, another favorite. Try them out for dinner tonight. Tip the staff. They do a great job!

Decent chicken Fries, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and rolls - meh Taters served cold The drive thru speaker is one you see portrayed in movies where it's Charlie Brown's teacher speaking back to you. There are too many chicken places to want to go here.

Worst food my husband and I have ever had. Just spent $40 and we threw it all away. Tenders were so dry, sauce couldnt even hide it. Mashed potatoes ans gravy tasted like powder. Coleslaw was so very heavy on the Mayo. Such a waste of Money to still be hungry and have to re go out to get some edible food in the cold. Would never recommend this to anyone. You'll be wasting your money!

Ordered fries got this! It is the nastiest thing I have ever put in my mouth! Explain that to a little boy.

I really wanted to like it as this is what my grandsons wanted. So frustrating it took how many corrections to get it right. Once the order was right we pulled forward to pay. Got home to the missed side we paid extra for and the abysmal side they gave us, instead of fries, was not edible. No dipping sauces. You lost my business.

    Menu with Current Prices.

Catching up on my reviews. (I take notes and keep receipts to ensure I'm on point when I enter it!) We visited this Golden Chick March 13, 2020 during lent. We enjoy Golden Chick for Chicken but we really like the way they cook their catfish. They are very flexible with their menu. They have many "combo" choices in roast chicken, fried chicken and southern fried catfish. Something that I had not seen on previous visits was fried shrimp. On this visit (take out as the news from all over the world was Covid 19 although we weren't under any orders yet) Friday the 13th it was lent and so we both opted for the Southern Fried Catfish Medium Combo. I ordered the 3 piece and hubby the 5 piece meal. This particular combo came with One Side and a Medium Drink. There was also a special where you could add three shrimp for $1.99 extra so we opted for one of those so that we could try the shrimp. Hubby got the macaroni and cheese for his side and I got the mashed potatoes and we also ordered an additional single side of their famous corn nuggets. Everything was hot and delicious and stay that way until I arrived home. I want to go back to the options to let you know they have a huge variety of sides -at least 9 options and you can get them in a single serving or a larger family style serving. We each tried a piece of the fried shrimp and it was good, however it is not something we would order again because we prefer the other main dish options over the shrimp. They also offer chicken and fish sandwiches, and several main dish salads along with a side salad. Their yeast rolls are light and fluffy and so tasty. They have several fountain beverage choices along with sweet and unsweet tea and pink lemonade. I have never had a bad experience at this location in Leander. I have use their drive-through, pick up, and dined in. The property is clean. Their associates are very friendly and very helpful! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and should you decide to go give some thought to trying the fish! It's so good even when it's not Lent

The awesome crispy corn nuggets! Try this.

The fried shrimp were golden and crispy with a light crunch that made each bite irresistible. French fries paired with the pretzel cheese dipping cup brought me back to my Chicago taste buds (also another reason I am a huge Culver's fan) What truly set this experience apart, though, was the owner. Incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest has a great experience (even the kids!) That level of care and hospitality makes all the difference and keeps us coming back. Great food, outstanding service, and a fantastic owner--Culver's is the place to go! What surprises me is that the burgers I've gotten I can't say are great. They're good but they're not great. Another surprise for me was the fried shrimp which was actually very good and of course having visited more than once we tried the custard and it was good. The turtle version was what we got. They're a little slim on their caramel sauce, but otherwise it was OK. I lived in a state that did not have a Culver's, but the state next to us did and people from my state were driving an hour or more to get to them and raved about their butter burgers, but I don't even feel there's butter on the burgers or the buns. Am I missing something? What should I be ordering there?

"WANTED SOME PROTEIN-STYLE BURGERS"…read more The other day, my lovely wife and I wanted some Protein-Style Burgers, and the best place for these is at In-N-Out Burger. Unfortunately, San Angelo does not have an In-N-Out, but there are a few places around here that do offer some sort of Lettuce Wrapped Burgers, but they are just not the same. So, we did the next best thing: we took a Road-Trip to Cedar Park, Texas, to enjoy the Best Protein-Style Burgers EVER. This In-N-Out is only 193 miles away and makes for a nice day-trip in under 3 hours - one way. It's also a beautiful drive through this part of Texas. Arrived just after 11 am, and there are already a good number of people here, especially at the drive-thru. Joanna took our order: 1 Cheeseburger, Protein-Style, with Onion, Tomato, Pickles, and their sauce, also with Ketchup & Mustard. I am having the Double-Double, Protein Style, with Onion, Tomato, Pickles, and the sauce, also with Ketchup & Mustard. And we asked for 2 small drinks. My wife told Joanna that she is beautiful, and I totally agree. Filled up our drinks, Nancy grabbed a table, and I waited for our order at the bench. In-N-Out always has a lot of employees behind the counter, with each one doing their specialty. Soon our number was called, and these Protein-Style Burgers look delicious. Every In-N-Out we have been to, including out-of-state ones, always makes their Burgers the same - lots of wrapped Lettuce with a couple slices of Tomatoes and an entire slice of Onion (not slivered or pieces), with lots of Pickles. There is nothing like a nice Crisp Bite, and these Burgers provide that with every bite - and they are Very Sloppylicious with plenty of Sauce, Ketchup & Mustard. The Patty itself is perfectly seasoned and is very tasty. Lots of juiciness on the napkins below. No French Fries this time, just reducing our carbs for a while, and I love them with lots of Cheese on top. Since this is a Road-Trip, we decided to enjoy some more, went back a little later and ordered another Double-Double, Protein-Style, with Onion, Tomato, & Pickles with plenty of sauce (no ketchup or mustard this time). Also, Two-Cheeseburgers, Protein-Style, with Onion, Tomatoes, Pickles, and the sauce (with no ketchup or mustard). Caleb took our order this time, and the wait did not take very long - here's our food. These are also Perfectly Protein-Styled, wrapped with the same Crisp Crunch of the Lettuce and the tastiness of the Burgers. And they are Very Sloppylicious. For us, Protein-Style is the way to go - and we are happy we went. The drive back was as beautiful as the drive over, especially with full tummies. Grab someone you care about and take a Road-Trip to an In-N-Out somewhere, and enjoy a Protein-Style Burger of any size, on Menu or Off-Menu. Road trips are fun, and going anywhere with my lovely wife is always a pleasure. Thank You Baby for another Tastylicious Outing. Love You Bunches & Protein-StyleMunches.

I quickly learned why it's a favorite among the elevated crowd, the sandwiches are named after different THC strains! Before anyone asks, no, the food is not infused. The names are just part of the fun. Now, I'm a toasted sub enthusiast, and a toasted sandwich is only as good as its bread. Thankfully, this place delivers. The menu is creative, the atmosphere is laid-back, and there are plenty of little touches that make it stand out. One of my favorite surprises was the drink fountain stocked with old-school Kool-Aid flavors. Instant nostalgia! They also have a full bar and outdoor seating, making it a great spot to kick back and hang out. Don't skip the house-made "smoker snacks" either. The Rice Krispie treats and cookies are dangerously good and worth saving room for. A heads-up: parking can be a little tight up front, but I've heard there's additional parking in the back. My biggest piece of advice? Go big. The small sandwich is basically foreplay, it'll leave you wanting more. Order the large and thank me later. Overall: Great food, fun theme, nostalgic drinks, tasty treats, and chill vibes. Definitely a spot worth checking out, whether you're a cannabis connoisseur or just someone who appreciates a solid sandwich.

The…read moreatmosphere is so inviting /lots of people and lots of seating A concept I've not ever seen before in a toasted sub sandwich shop-or frankly any brand of sub sandwich location. I ordered a 4 inch essentially vegetarian sandwich. They have 4"-8" and 12" subs available and lots of choices-with unique names -mine was called "the Griefo" along with a make your own option. My sandwich had a couple of different types of lettuce, along with cucumber, red onion, and dill pickles (I requested) on a jalapeño cream cheese base. I was given a stand with the picture on it, and was advised the sandwich would be brought to me . After ordering my sandwich, I stepped across to the bar where I chose to sit on the outside barstools. The bar seating was quite full, but it was a beautiful day with a healthy breeze, so I was quite comfortable. The young lady behind the bar was very prompt in coming by to ask me if I would like a beverage and so I ordered a strawberry margarita. (a note.: they do not have frozen drinks at this time). She advised me it was the first time she had made a strawberry Version Of a margarita-but she did a great job and it was on point!!! shortly I was served my sandwich. (I didn't mention that there are options for bread for your sandwich, and I chose the herb and garlic.) I don't know where they get their bread, but it's delicious. My sandwich was stuffed with ingredients and looked and tasted really great!! What a great introduction to this cute little shop tucked away in a strip center off of W. Hero Way in Leander. In fact, it was so good that last night I phoned in an order and the three of us had it for dinner. I did attempt to use the online ordering system, but it kept notifying me that the restaurant was not taking online orders at that time. I knew it would be very risky to call in the order because I have a couple of people here that are very picky and although we found sandwiches for them, they were going to have to be a lot of alterations!!! However , I did call and a man on the other end of the phone took my order. Giving it was very intense making sure that I eliminated all the items that the two picky people in my household don't eat. In all honesty I didn't expect the sandwiches to turn out perfectly as there was a lot of background noise (sounded like everybody was having a great time there!!!). I was told the sandwiches would be ready in about 15 minutes so when I hung up I proceeded to get ready and drove over there. There is a separate area for to go orders so that is where I went. The young lady who was helping me couldn't find my order, but then I thought to tell her I phoned it in and they kept those orders in a different area up by the cash register. Sure enough there it was ready and waiting. The 8" White Widow was made exactly as requested. My son said the chicken breast in the sandwich had the best seasoning and flavor he had ever had. Next was the 4 inch Pacific blue which is a tuna melt(fresh tuna salad with cheddar cheese) and toasted too perfection. It also had to be altered, but was made just as requested. I had ordered the Griefo w/jalapeño cream cheese along with all the veggies-asked for pickles to be added, which they were! We had ordered one of the desserts, a "Gooball" which was similar to a rice crispy, treat with peanut butter, added and shaped into a ball.... how could that not be delicious???? We were more than satisfied with our sandwiches and divided up the Gooball so we all could have a taste. The perfect bite of sweetness at the end of a meal.!! We can't wait to experience their food again!!

From the moment you walk in, the experience is noticeable. The space is clean, modern, and welcoming without feeling overdone or impersonal. It strikes that balance where you can grab a quick meal or actually sit down and enjoy your time there. The staff sets the tone immediately. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged, not just going through the motions. You can tell there's intention behind the service, and that matters. The food is where they really separate themselves. Everything came out fresh, hot, and exactly how it should. The burgers were flavorful, well-balanced, and cooked right. Not greasy, not sloppy, just done right. The crinkle-cut fries had that perfect crisp on the outside with a soft interior, and the shakes were exactly what you want them to be, rich without being overwhelming. It's one of those meals where nothing feels like an afterthought. Every item holds its own. What stood out just as much as the food and service was the environment they've created. There's a clear sense that this is a place where people are welcome, period. Inclusive, respectful, and comfortable for everyone walking through the door. That kind of atmosphere doesn't happen by accident. It reflects leadership, culture, and a commitment to doing things the right way. In a time where people pay attention to how businesses treat others, that matters just as much as what's on the menu. And that's really what this place gets right. It's not just about good burgers. It's about consistency, quality, and creating an experience people actually want to come back to. Whether you're stopping in after work, grabbing a quick bite, or bringing friends or family, it holds up. If you're in Cedar Park and haven't checked it out yet, it's worth your time. And if you have, you already know exactly what I'm talking about.
