Now, I understand why this location has a 2.1 Yelp rating. Your lobby closes at 9 pm and I pull up at 8:35 pm and the lobby was closed because they were mopping the floor, stated an employee. Mopping the floor is your job, I am not understanding why you shut down the lobby almost 30 minutes early because your mopping the floor when you could've mopped the floor once the lobby closed at 9 pm. My husband placed our order online and when arrived within 10-15 minutes our order was ready for pickup without issue. The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly. I used to love Golden Chick when I worked nearby to one many years ago. I was surprised to see another fried chicken place open up across from Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane's. So I decided to stop in one day for lunch to get my once favorite chicken salad sandwich. Hit up the drive thru and the person taking the order was friendly. The young lady at the drive thru was clearly flustered but was also friendly enough. I came back to the office and when I saw the cardboard box that contained my sandwich I instantly knew it wasn't going to be the chicken salad sandwich I knew and loved for years. That sandwich had two soft buttery rolls as buns and a thick layer of chicken salad in between. It was wrapped in paper that melded the rolls together. What I received was a stale bun that resembled a roll and split in half. It's just not the same guys. On top of that, I bit on a chicken bone that I luckily did not ingest. I ordered food from them last Saturday to dine in. 30 minutes go by and my order isn't ready. It looked like they were only preparing the drive thru orders. There was a couple of women there who were waiting longer than me. I finally go up and ask for a refund. It even took a few minutes for an employee to come up to the counter to do just that. Placed online order. Left house as restaurant is only 2 miles away, but takes 15 min because of construction. Picked up order in a sealed bag and went home. Took another 15 min because of construction and trains. Opened bag and missing two sides, rolls, and condiments. How f**** hard is it to get an order right? First time trying this place and pretty disappointing. I ordered the 4 piece tender with mashed potatoes. I get home, open the box and they didn't even use the proper size lids to cover the mashed potatoes, which turn out to not even be mashed potatoes it was just more gravy. So they flipped over what weren't even the correct size lids and set them on top of the containers to cover them. So that was one problem and the other was me not receiving my mashed potatoes. Great service.. Tried the roasted chicken. WAY too much salt. Hard to taste the chicken through the salt. Decided to compare Golden Chick roasted chicken vs. same product at KFC. Golden chick has 2X the salt of KFC. One meal and you get more than your daily allowance of salt. If you like eating salt, this is the place. read more
