What they advertise, which is false. Don't be fooled. It's nothing like this horrific.

I should have looked up the reviews before I ordered. Smh ! What a waste of money! Pictures are false advertisement. The food is horrific bland with no seasoning. The protein serving was pathetic. The veggie serving was pathetic. Paid almost $20 for the barbecue mix. I cant reiterate enough what a waste of money this place is! Please do yourself a favor and go to Luau Hawaiian barbecue in the same city, and or ohno Hawaiian barbecue.

Haven't been here for years, but one thing I can say is they haven't changed. Good is good. We ordering the combo #4 for 2 people. It was definitely enough food to feed 4! I really like their pork chow mien. It comes with crunchy noodles (unless you ask for soft noodles) and bean sprouts. Their house fried rice has char sue, egg, bean sprouts, peas and carrots. I like this place because you get consistent food, generous portions and favorable pricing. Thank you Golden Chicken Inn. Also as of 6/2022 they do not have any in door dining available.

We needed a different vibe, so yes.. so excited for Mongolian BBQ. My first time there, I wasn't sure what to do, there was no one at the counter so I had to flag someone to come help. The guy there seems like he didn't want to be there, so I kinda felt unwelcome. I got the regular bowl, and he asked for sauce preference... I also tried their seafood boil. You pick 2 seafood and it comes with rice, 1 corn and 1 potato. No different sauce, just spice level. After paying, walk towards the toppings and stack your bowl. Meats, veggies whatever your heart desires. All meats looked broken up, and all items were very low. Nothing was filled. After you finish piling the bowl with whatever toppings they have...the guy at the end will cook it, and Toss in the noodles or rice if you prefer. After a few minutes, foods done. Let's eat. So my first bite of the noodles was bland, just salty. I had to add in some sriracha for flavor. Then onto the seafood boil. First bite, omg so salty. Tired the rice. So dry. I got the shrimp n mussels. Both are so overcooked. The only item edible was the potato since I peeled the skin. Had to Toss the rest away. So disappointed

The beef and pork are soaking in that flavor, fresh veggies, you can make your own sauce with extra on the side, and the heated plate gives it a nice almost char flavor without the smoke. Pair that with the seating at the Annex or grabbing a table with Bottle & Pint and that's the best of both worlds. The price may seem like a lot but the regular bowl if you stack it high could easily be 2 meals, I usually opt for the noodles and stacking on veggies you know don't tend to wilt when they're cooked to maximize volume, but I'm glad they reopened after their quick hiatus!

Asians in ventura county know hot pot options are slim pickings. AYCE hotpot? A first that im aware of (tasty used to be preset bowls) Loved being able to choose different broths and put whatever noodles, veggies, fish balls, tofu, etc in my pot. Staff friendly, clean restaurant. Who doesn't love AYCE hotpot? My only con is the pots used to cook your items arent very fast. The fire will die and youll need an employee to start it up. Id be cautious of ordering chicken or youll sit there for at least 10 minutes making sure its cooked all the way. If tasty pot can fix this, I think it'll improve the overall experience. I still love the overall experience and will be back multiple times this year. Side note - People used to 626 or OC ayce hot pot may be a little disappointed (no free drinks or hot food bar).

The ladies were so nice & attentive to all the diners. The food was amazing! I would highly recommend their seafood pancake. So tasty & the right amount of seasoning. I gave the restaurant another opportunity yesterday, but unfortunately, I left disappointed again. It appears they have done away with their old bento boxes. The dishes used for the banchan with the lunch special still have a somewhat dated appearance, including some chipped pieces. Considering the relatively high price of the lunch special, I would think updating the presentation and serving ware would be worthwhile. The service, however, remains friendly and efficient. I ordered the bulgogi, and while it wasn't bad tasting, it didn't seem to be prepared properly. The meat texture was a bit mushy and onions had no caramelization, and the dish lacked the rich, savory flavor and texture that makes good bulgogi so enjoyable. It almost tasted as though it had been cooked at too low a temperature. Unfortunately, the banchan were also disappointing. They were very bland overall. The carrot in the potato-and-carrot dish had an odd taste that reminded me of cleaning solution, so I actually spit it out and didn't eat the rest. The kimchi portion was extremely small and, frankly, didn't look particularly appetizing, so I didn't try it. The radish was also very basic and lacked much flavor. The two wontons were unremarkable, although the radish soup was still good, as it usually is. The salad was fine as usual, and the mixed rice was tasty. Ultimately, though, when I'm paying around $23 before tax and tip for a lunch special and receiving such small portions and inconsistent food quality, I don't feel the meal represents a good value. I really wanted to give this place another chance because I enjoyed my earlier visits, but unfortunately, this most recent meal left me disappointed.

There were a couple couples that look like they're on dates. Service is really good here. And we ordered all the food we wanted to try. It seems like they tried to limit the chances of the cyclospora parasite since no one has a definite source yet (Mongolian beef usually has raw green onions but they subbed wok fired yellow onions). But some stuff they kept the cilantro and green onions (bc they were cold dishes) The pan fried dumpling would have been good if it didn't have so much Ginger.. I'm not too into Ginger but the dumpling was nice because it had the juice inside of it and the texture was nice The refreshing woodear is a cold dish that has a chewy/crunchy texture. The soy sauce/vinegar flavor makes it refreshing when the other foods get heavy. Spicy beef slices were not that bad, but I prefer more of the spicy szechuan flavor (numbing/tingly feeling). The cilantro and green onions also provided good flavor The beef and onion pancake reminded me of mushu beef, it had the same wrap, hoision sauce flavor with meat and veggies-green onions. It also had good amount of meat Hunan beef was ok but wife enjoyed it. Wife's cooking prepared me for the peppers...is it a jalapeno or a green pepper...Russian roulette if you can't handle spicy. The Mongolian beef had reg onions instead of the green onions. Lots of onions..but I can't be mad bc the onions had the wok fire flavor, which I enjoy and not many places do it. The spicy eggplant with hot garlic sauce had lots of woodears, the eggplant was a little more on the sweet side, and the eggplant had a little bit of a crispyness to it. The salt and pepper shrimp almost reminded me of fried cake batter. It had some sweetness to it so it confused me cuz I was expecting something savory. At the end of the meal we had our fortune cookie, which seemed like it was more of an ad than a fortune.. sneaky Fortune Cookie company. Overall this place was pretty good and worth trying, especially since they have great service
