If you are friends with me you know how I love finding another great Chinese food restaurant! This place is really great! When you walk in, it is very pleasant. There are plants throughout and there is modern lighting. The place is spotless clean and inviting. Also inviting was the server's hospitality when I walked in. She continued that hospitality throughout my visit. I ordered the lunch Almond Chicken. It came with Soup and Egg Roll. It was all absolutely delicious. Like I made a "happy plate" kind of delicious! Stepped into an empty restaurant. Now I know why. The staff is pretty rude to the customers, the food is absolutely lackluster at best, and the seats are uncomfortable. True definition of a solid 1 star restaurant. There was a chicken side order item that I had no clue what in the world it was, but it wasn't good. The hot and sour soup had a very bad taste to it, and the beef Lomein was overwhelmingly salty. If you are looking for somewhere to eat, look elsewhere. The food seemed as if it was microwaved. Service was okay. Ambiance was low, when we walked in at peak lunch time it was only the owner and one server working. The food was not seasoned and it was hot in some places and cold in other. The one good part was the steamer dumplings which tbh were probs microwaved as well. We were seated, along with only one other table seated. We went to order the chef special sizzling combination after asking a few questions about the menu. We took a minute to decide, when the waiter came back he said no sizzling dishes as the kitchen is too busy with to go orders. We were seated by the door and only saw 2 go out. I had the wonton soup. It's likely the worst soup I've ever had. The broth was water with a few green onions floating on it with one of the smallest wontons I ever had. My husband got the sizzling rice soup (that was ok to order I guess). Same broth, a few shrimp and a couple tiny shrimp and a few pieces of chicken. The rice did not sizzle, likely ever. The kids sweet and sour chicken was ok. But not finished by the 11 year old. It was super greasy. We will not be going back. read more

I started ordering from this place through DoorDash and the food always fresh and hot! I had to go in and eat in the restaurant to see how it holds up in person. Turns out it's even better! Rangoons so crispy and sweet, BBQ Ribs are super saucy and tender, sesame chicken was lightly crunchy on the outside and filled with chicken on the inside. The people serving us were sweet and kind. If you are looking for a restaurant with staff who still wears masks, this is your place. Service was super fast. The server was very nice. The dumplings were ok but the combination fried rice wasn't the best I've had or anywhere close. They do have real duck sauce, not that sweet sauce that tastes like sprite. Their duck sauce is whatever is in the package duck sauce. Sauce is life for me, so it's a big part of my eating experience. read more

My moo shu pork was still tasty and a decent portion but the rice amount was only one scoop instead of two. There were six of us and 4 of us ordered the dinner and were VERY surprised there was NO SALAD or potstickers. Since We already knew what We wanted to order there was no real need to look at the menu so had NO idea those items did not come with meal anymore. Several other meal portions were MUCH smaller than usual. Our usual waiter said that there were new owners now. Even though our food was not bad tasting we were not happy that prices had gone up and portions and the extra dinner items like the salad were no longer included. I have a spot this Golden China that makes a delicious Egg Foo Young! Great job! The last couple of times I wasn't impressed, but this time, it was just plain awful and a huge waste of money! We ordered delivery last night. The orange chicken had a strange smokey taste to it (smoked paprika maybe?) and was very dry. Even the fried rice was dry and tasted old. The veggie egg rolls had a strange taste to them as well, but can't place what it was I was tasting. Even our daughter, who will devour egg rolls, passed on a second one! Today I ordered from the lunch menu so you get soup, salad, and your meal. Inside the restaurant, it is warm and cozy. In the corner is a piano. It also plays music from the attached Player Piano unit. Jay Tang, one of the owners was very hospitable. Since it was my first dining experience here, I asked Jay what he recommended. He asked me a few questions to understand my tastes. He recommended the Happy Family. Let them know if you like or dislike spicy food. They will make it to your liking. Lunch started with a hot and sour soup. It was smooth with a slight hint of lemon. The salad had a light ginger asian dressing. I really like it. Based on another reviewer, who thought the egg rolls were greasy, I started there first. I usually don't eat fried egg rolls, but I'm glad I did. The egg roll was excellent! My wife doesn't care for seafood, but it is one of my favorites. I eat try to eat seafood every chance I can. The Happy Family was an great choice. A generous portion of scallops, shrimp and chicken with quartered fresh mushrooms and assorted vegetables. Chinese food can be hit and miss. Today I got a hit. I had lunch here this week with a former co-worker. I found it via a Google map search when I was trying to find something that would be an easy drive for both of us. The decor is more upscale than a typical strip mall Chinese restaurant, and it was relatively quiet, which made conversation easy. I selected a lunch special of kung pao chicken. The accompanying hot and sour soup was perhaps a bit above average but not outstanding. An almost miniature salad was a surprise, and had a nice ginger dressing with small fried wontons. When the main course came, the spring roll was crispy and not greasy, but VERY basic and flavorless. Hot mustard and soy sauce helped some here. The kung pao chicken itself lacked a bit in heat and flavor, but the chicken was fairly decent. Veggies were a little too soft and cut too small for my tastes, which, when put together, made for an average dish that just didn't overly impress. The good news was when the check came; the price was right, which helped, but I'd rather have paid another buck or two for a dish with some more pizzazz. read more
