I have eaten at Golden Corral for more than 12 years. Something changed today. The Quality is Poor. The service is good but the place is Dirty. Bathroom smells. The health score is something like 83 out of 100. That is No Bueno~. They have the Fried Chicken tway around the end of the buffet. Good, Crisp, Crunchy Fried Chicken is normally the cornerstone of a first rate buffet. Not here. Poorly done! They actually have introduced a Hot dog station with ready... No buns. The food was horrible, it either wasn't full cooked, or didn't taste right. My cousin had pot roast and made her sick. The mashed potatoes had tasted wrong. The service wasn't great. Our first server was lousy, the second one was perfect. Our first server had dropped a tray of dishes in the middle of the walkway. I didn't each much, and by much I had maybe 5 or 6 actual food items. I woke up the next day feeling like shit and had food poisoning. The only thing enjoyable was the desert. Food is ok for a buffet. Too many kids, management doesn't supervise or ask parents to control. Many Little ones put fingers in buffet food, run around restaurant. One has to dodge them. Restrooms smell. Patrons often rowdy and loud. Management caters to nastiest customers. Ignores regulars who have gone there when management was better. Wait help and food bar people are excellent and ver friendly however. Price is competitive, and there is a senior discount. Just was very very upset I bought several gift cards for $100 each. One they failed to activate. When I brought it to the managers attention, she refused to make good on it, insinuating I either stole it or got it somewhere else, and she really didn't have time to discuss it because there was an inspector there and her kud was there, and it was really her day off anyway. So why couldn't somebody else handle it? Not a great way to deal with a customer who's been going there since 1979. Used to be several buffets in the area so they actually tried. Went here for a birthday. We get in and it's already packed. We get sat at a table and wait, we then realized they forgot about us. The waiter who was a guy said he didn't know he was supposed to be serving us. That's fine, mistakes happen. When we got up to get a plate I see that they're in a very awkward spot. They're in this big giant thing so close to the floor. Very weird to bend down and get a plate. Not only that, the plates were still wet and some were dirty. We got in line for food and I felt like a chicken on its way to be killed. The food looked okay. Wasn't the best. The people there are very ghetto and they obviously don't see a problem with how dirty the place was. This one lady whose stomach looked like melting ice cream on a cone complained and yelled at the cooks that she wanted her chicken well done and that hers still had feathers on it. She seemed crazy so I do believe she was seeing things. When going up to get food it feels as if we have to use our plates and utensils to attack the other customers. Also food was all over the bottom of the table. Utensils were dirty. It was very unhygienic. These moms let their kids touch the ice cream topping with their gross booty picking fingers. Group of about 16 . Was there November 5 130'ish p.m. our waitress was KAY.. She's the best I've ever seen at your lication. She should be a manager!!! . She handled our group with ease, great personality, a smile and seem to do it effortlessly. The negative issue was lots of folks had to wait continuously for clean plates and you all need to put out more chicken pieces besides them big ole breast. Breast are such a waste! We witnessed an incident the other day where the manager, named Amber, totally disrespected and embarrassed an elderly couple in front of the entire restaurant. The couple have been loyal customers of that restaurant for years. They even tip the salad bar help for getting them cottage cheese and the employees carving the meat for them. They purchased 5 gift cards during the holiday promotion period for 100.00 each and gave some for gifts. One of the cards showed it wasn't activated and was told to bring in their receipts. It was discovered that the card showed paid for but they were given a different card. The manager accused them of possibly stealing a blank card. We were all appalled at that accusation. Elderly good honest people being falsely accused because either the cashier made a mistake or did something shady. Who isn't to say that Amber isn't pocketing the money. We have gone there for years and seeing how those people were treated is beyond belief. We will never go back and we were not the only ones who witnessed the incident and others left as well. Amber should be reprimanded for how she handled this. She was more worried about tending to her children that run wild in the restaurant than to make their error right. Good riddance. read more

I ve seen so many good old reviews not much new one so I decided to give it a try. First, i am disappointed this place has no seafood, the food was average. They do have a good salad section i am not going to lie.it is missing diversity in meat they mostly have chicken, some pork and thats about it for meat. They have some decent desert as well. As for the deco, it is a good place to go if you are out and hungry and dont want to spend 15-20 for one plate of good you go there to eat as much as you can and leave, but not worth leaving your house and dress up. I had the unfortunate experience of attending a Bowling Banquet at this location. I must say cleanliness is not next to godliness in this establishment! While going through the food line, I literally stuck to the floor. Women's restroom was mediocre, but the hand dryer didn't work, and there were no paper towels. Employees were very nice. Quality of food was so so. I definitely will not go back again. I am really not sure they could pass a health inspection. read more

Well, other than Chinese buffets, Golden Corral seems to be the only major player, now that Hometown Buffet is gone. I'd say they do a decent job, in terms of food selection, quality and cleanliness. Their "grillhouse" section is pretty tasty and well-prepared for "on demand" food. I'm also happy that they now serve breakfast all day (limited items, obviously due to space and popularity/demand). The servers are pretty consistent (low turnover), so you will get good service. I only get here for lunch, but I always leave satisfied. As far as AYCE lunches go, I'd recommend it to any and everyone. If you can deal with some of the ill-mannered customers, you should have a fine time. read more

This is a very generic buffet with all the fixins'. You walk in, order your drink, prepay, and be on your way. You have several options for salads, cold and hot sides, meats, and desserts. The best part is the service. We had a large group on a Easter Sunday afternoon and they were very accomindating. They were like a well oiled machine. The food is good, the place is usually packed, and the service is usually nice. This particular evening our server was very attentive and nice, but the manager was adamant about our receipts being on the table. I guess they have had problems with people coming in off the street not paying and eating. One of my friends could not find her receipt. It took her going through every thing to find it. I thought the management rude to hound her for it. But she did find it. Next we go, we will know to keep receipt on the table, do not put it away or throw away. The fried chicken is always perfection. They have a pretty good variety of food, it's clean. One problem the ice cream machine doesn't always work. There's a waiter there his name is Eddie. This Golden Corral is a little run down and slightly dirty looking. I went here about two weeks ago and had to pull four forks out of the silverware tray before I found one that didn't have food stuck on it. All of there pop is watery and tastes weird. The whole restaurant has an odd smell like wet diapers. The food wasn't horrible, but I've had better. Most of the meat was dry. The servers are more interested in their phones than busing tables. Better than your run-of-the-mill chain buffet. Delicious, cooked to order, steaks. Juicy hams. Scrumptious bread pudding. Mexican soda. A chocolate fountain (if you'd really like to see one in person). The staff is pretty friendly and some of them, like my waiter was, are pretty cute. Not everything is perfect (the line could use more people to clean up the spills), but it is definitely worth the two or three dollars more it charges over it's competitors.
