I first came back to the remodeled restaurant this past summer and from time to time come for the happy hour with friends I stick with the basics like wings,fries, egg rolls and fried rice as far as food goes and it's ok but the lonnnnnng wait is the problem these girls are clueless including the bartenders I have yet to leave a tip, they get big gratuity for crappy service at times I've seen my waitress and the other workers sit down and eat. Went to Golden Dragon on a Saturday night. My group was looking for a place to grab a bite, have some drinks, and listen to music. For that this place was a win. It was packed around 11:30. We had to wait around a bit to grab a table. Once we did, we had to stop three different servers to get someone to clean the table. Then ask all of them again to take our order. The servers all seemed friendly enough, but overwhelmed. Finally we started walking up to the bar to get our drinks, but we were told we couldn't order food at the bar. Overall I would go back because the food was delicious and the drinks were good. But the service was sub-par so I know what to expect. read more

I ordered drinks on happy hour then when I received my bill it was regular priced and the management refused to changed the price because I didnt say specifically that I wanted the happy hour drink. Me and my coworkers had the absolute worse experience at happy hour yesterday evening. Not only did we have to wait almost an hour to be served (we were told our waitress was not in yet, but would be there shortly. Umm if you guys know your busy time starts during happy hour, why not just either change shifts earlier or have the waitresses' cover the shift until their relief arrives? ) but because the waitress did not do her tickets correctly, she tried to accuse a member of our party, who paid for her food before she departed early, of stealing some cheap ass wonton soup! Not only did she pretty much call my coworker a thief, she implied that we had to pay for it! She was so nasty and rude that she and I got into an argument! The manager eventually came over but the damage was already done! Oh and one of my other coworkers never even got his food! I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism in my life! You are in the service industry which means your customer service is what drives your business just as much if not more than the food and drinks itself, which was also average in my opinion. There was other things that occured but I don't have enough space or time to type it smh. This place has went downhill. Save yourself the drama and drive a little further to Bar Louie where you get good food, drinks, AND customer service. Golden Dragon, if you want to continue getting working clientele in your bar, I suggest going back to the drawing board. I went to Golden Dragon to celebrate my birthday with a few friends. The service we received was horrible. The waitress did not want to take out orders, we had to ask another waitress to help us. The young lady was sitting at a few tables away engaging in conversation with someone and literally forgot that we were there. We had to ask for utensils, water etc. I ordered a drink and she forgot to put it in, some other friends arrived they had to get their drinks from the bar because our waitress was no where to be found. Around midnight the waitress rushes us to close out because she's ready to go home. She said my shift is over and I have to go, the behavior she displayed was rude. If she was attentive from the beginning then it wouldn't have taken us long to cash out anyway! We called the manager over just to let her know about the service we received. We already paid the bill but we thought that she should no the type of service that her associates are given. The manager tried to justify the behavior and insinuated that it was our fault because we should have called her sooner. I'm a manager at a huge retailer and if a customer expresses genuine concern about service going to do my best to look into it and correct it. I will never bring my business to that place again, and I'll be sure to spread the word. Your in a business were you have to treat people with respect. We all felt very disrespected and if you have people who don't want to work in the food service business why the hell do you hire them. It takes more than a big ass to provide customer service. Food was decent but the service should be put in the hall of shame. The waitresses are unidentifiable. I thought they were regular ratchet thots who frequent every Friday night. They don't introduce themselves, lack the capacity to provide good customer service and the last waitress we had (kaila) was too busy flirting with guys and taking shots and other alcoholic drinks than servicing our table. Who the hell is training these people?!? It took forever for the food to arrive and every time I asked the waitress for something she replied with some retarded, inappropriate response. Yes I keep trying to see if the problem was me but everytime I have been the servers and bar tenders were nasty and very slow to act. It is a horrible and tacky crowd. Each time its worse and worse my first time the one girl busted in the men's bathroom and my boyfriend said she said i have to go. he quickly got out and was very disturbed by the unprofessionalism. I will be the first to admit that I was very skeptical about the "new" and "improved" Golden Dragon. If you remember the restaurant from the past you would certainly understand why. The food was questionable at best and I would steer clear of any meat that was not clearly identifiable. Fast forward to the modern Golden Dragon and all images of the restaurants sketchy past are erased. Our waitress- Deonna? Deanna? Something like that was amazing! I didn't catch her name because there was loudly blasting trap music playing that made conversation challenging but for me it added to the ambiance. (Ratchet, I know) The food exceeded my expectations. I ordered the shrimp egg roll which was huge... One was large enough for two people to easily share; it was fresh, tasty with none of that over fried, greasy taste that some egg rolls have. For my entree I opted for the shrimp and crab fried rice. The portion sizes are huge and contained decent size shrimp with chunks of jumbo-lump crab meat. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by my experience and after reviewing the happy hour menu- which includes both drink and entrees at half price I will definitely be back sooner, rather than later. read more

I purchased two enteees last night. I get all the way home only to find that my chicken is extremely dry and hard for both entrees. I waited almost an hour because the young lady advised the chicken is served fresh. When I attempted to take it back, today as I live almost 25 minutes away and it was late last night, I was turned away. I attempted to seek a resolution in a professional manner. I even stated to them to deduct the portion I attempted to serve my family but I at least want half my money back for serving subpar food. Poultry should never be served after a certain timeframe of sitting. They had me escorted out instead of making their wrong right. I had so many witnesses that stayed to convey to the police what transpired. Even after I contacted the police they still refused when they Were the ones with the poor attitudes. Any other restaurant would have attempted to find a resolution. They didn't. They're too busy sucking the community dry to even care about the food or service received. read more

I placed my order online and had the food delived to my house. The food was awful. I was so disappointed. My wife and I were doing a "Spring Cleaning" Friday June 28th so we treated ourselves to a nice lunch early in the day with the hopes of having leftovers for dinner. Unfortunately the food was awful, bland, and beyond greasy(even for Chinese Food) so we did not eat it for lunch let alone save it for dinner. That was $31.64 down the drain, or in the trash...I have wanted to call to complain about how awful the food was and how I just wasted $31.64 but I really don't know how to go about it let alone knkw if they woukd even care. And my Wife and I did try a piece of everything in each of the 2 Combo Meals we got to try and get something out of the kind of money we had just dropped, but it was no use. Each of the items included in each of our meals was just awful. Nothing was worth a second bite. And this is sad because we have ordered from the restaurant before and that was not at all how the food tasted. So where do I begin? Was really excited to try this new place with my boyfriend for date night. Despite the reviews I heard pretty good things about the food, so I thought let's give it a try. When you walk in there is no one greeting you, it's a sign that says "please seat your self". (Cool) we pick a table, we are then "greeted" by a young lady with "would you like to start with drinks" ... No hello, how are you, or my name is .... Eventually we order our food. Everything comes out, she did get a part of my order wrong. Which I knew was going to happen because she didn't write anything down. I didn't complain. The food was great! I order a Tropical Long Island which tasted nothing like the others I had before. After waiting for her to come back over for about 20 min. I told her I didn't like the drink, her response was "we don't do exchanges or refunds on speciality drinks" I literally took 2 sips of it. Overall the food is very good. The service is awful. This restaurant gets one star for the main reason that I stopped in on a Sunday night to watch some football and enjoy some great food. Unfortunately there was a drunk employee who was off making a big fuss over the raunchy hip-hop music that was blasting from the speakers in the bar area when I asked to have the music just turned down from the cussing and disrespectful lyrics this person screamed and shouted and made the biggest objection to my request. I've been eating golden dragon ever since i could walk! my dad would always bring it home after his long nights at work. And to this day I still get the same thing. I just can't help myself. Their egg rolls are by far the best I have ever had, it weights a ton ahd has SHRIMP AND PORK in them. There shrimp and losbter sauce is THE BEST THING EVER, most chinese resturants that I have been to use a white eggy like suace with peas and carrotts I thiink it looks like snot, however GOlden Dragons is a dark decidant black bean sauce with egg ground pork and huge shrimp ( 6 for half 12 for whole order) Its so good I cant even explain it if your from the area ( winsor, liberty, pikesville) and dont know about golden dragon or havent been there go NOW! There are rumors of them closing. I hope they dont becuase the food is amazing , who cares what it looks like inside the staff knows you by name and they love their loyal customers!! read more

Watched the Pittsburgh-Ravens playoff last night it was a great atmosphere and a great win . Food was nothing to celebrate but it was good when it came and thats the problem the place was a madhouse so service was understandably slow but this staff didnt seem prepared or particularly well trained. if you are gonna employee a bunch of eye candy they need to be COMPETENT eye candy,bartenders arguing with servers, bartenders arguing with each other, one server stood at the service bar flicking her hair i guess waiting for drinks...unsanitary as you are serving food, our server had tables in three different areas of what is pretty decent size place. Placed drink order and food order at the same time food comes before drinks ( a pitcher of beer doesn't get an simpler than that) took over 40 minutes and a trip to the service bar only to find out they were out of pitchers( buy more pitchers they are cheap) only to see 4 pitchers on the bar with bar garnish in them. Why did it take me to tell the bartender and the server to put the garnish in something else and utilize the pitchers for their actual purpose. i was expecting slow service and I got it but this was slower then I expected. They appeared to be understaffed disorganized and I couldn't tell if there was any managerial presence at all. On top of that the tip is included which to me gives you no incentive to work hard or even to a good job. We got carry out from here, as we have a couple of times in the past year. This time most of the food we picked up was mostly inedible. The fried rice and egg rolls were okay. The chicken chow mein was half liquid and the white meat chicken was gristly. The won ton soup was cloudy and the won tons were so soft they were more liquid than solid and about half of the soup had been emptied into the plastic bag since the container top was not closed completely. The bbq spare ribs were absolutely unchewable and inedible...they were dry, had no sauce or glaze and didn't look like anything I've seen before. I called the restaurant and told them I wanted my $$ back for each item except for the egg rolls and rice, they said okay but to bring the ribs back for them to see. I don't know why they wanted to see the ribs but maybe they ate them when we took them back, better them than us. It's really disgraceful for this place to sell this disgusting food. This place literally scared the hell out of me. The Lobby is dark and looks like something out of a horror film. It reminded me of a scene in "big trouble in little china" from the decor to the creepy lady behind the counter. I was waiting for a ghoul or that eyeball monster to come through the wall. I would love for Restaurant Impossible to renovate this place because it is in desperate need of it. I'm sure the candy in the display at the counter was just as old as the worn out dusty carpets and chairs.. It really would repulse someone going there for the first time. The food has me hooked though, I've been going there since I was a child so looking at the place in my adult life I am really sickened I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.
