Cute local spot that just opened. Very fast takeout! Spicy salmon roll {3.5/5}: pretty good fish to rice ratio, tempura flakes were a little stale Special young yellowtail app {4/5}: nice pieces of yellowtail with fresh daikon and cucumbers. Interested in trying out some of their other rolls and Thai options

They have it all yummy food, great service & a nice ambiance! Sushi is to die for! Golden Mango is the sister restaurant of Sweet Mango in Southington.

Good sushi, good service, good decor. Generally good. Came here on a whim. Wanted to try some new places and this one was close to some soccer matches. So we came here to try. The server was very kind, asked if we had questions and checked in frequently. She was very hospitable and friendly. We put in orders for the sushi and a couple apps. Food took a little while to get out, but it was fresh when we got it. Every was home made, and it was mostly successful in execution. The crab Rangoons were savory but the wonton outside was soggy and there was absolutely no crab in it . The pork potstickers had a custom pork mixture in a very thin wonton wrapper. It was crispy and the filling was seasoned well. Great with the soy sauce dipping sauce. The sushi was a little fishy, which was unexpected. But the flavor was still good so it was just only a little off. The rice was seasoned and the sushi was very thick cut. The flaking dragon roll had some spice to it, but not spicy. The fallen angel roll was an interesting combo of seaweed salad and basalmic vinegar. It was sweet but tangy with a little bit of fish funk. Not bad, but just a little too disjointed. It was a fine lunch, little pricy but the portions were pretty large. It's a good option for sushi but not a go-to spot for me.

I ordered the Golden Mango Roll for takeout and it was delicious! The young man at the host stand was very friendly and prompt. I'll have to dine in soon.

We have been patrons of this family's businesses, Sweet Mango and Golden Mango for over a decade and the food just keeps getting better and better. Quality is stellar and it is probably the best sushi served within 100 mile radius. We've been to this restaurant just once (its new!) and to the Sweet Mango restaurant dozens and dozens of times and they both serve the finest food and we return over and over again.

My mother in law just moved into the apartments across the way, so we came by for dinner. We have Japanese and Thai pretty often, and we can definitely say we've had better. The food was a little slow to come out, and I've had better quality. My husband asked for the spiciest massaman curry they could make it and it wasn't spicy at all. I did like the variety they had on the menu, but I think we'd probably just do takeout instead next time.

Came here for lunch and we were not disappointed! The sashimi portions were impressively generous -- thick, fresh cuts you could see and taste the quality in every bite. We also tried the Angel Roll, their signature roll packed with eel, tuna, and tempura -- it was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and the weather was perfect for enjoying their lovely outdoor patio. Highly recommend!

Authentic Thai flavors that never disappoint! The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, with great options for both spice lovers and those who prefer milder tastes. Perfect for a casual meal with family or friends.

The drunken noodles had real flavor and actual spice--thank you for not watering it down! You can tell they stayed true to the dish, and I appreciated that. The duck roll was good overall. I personally would've liked the sauce on the side and the wrap a bit thinner, but flavor-wise it was definitely there. The winter shrimp was solid too--nothing that blew me away, but still good. I didn't come for the ambiance, but it still gave a nice cultural vibe. Service was smooth--I called in my order and they answered right away, no issues at all. First, the home-style dishes feel very authentic and you can customize the spice level according to your own preference. I devoured the prik king with chicken and my wife was delighted to enjoy the drunken noodles with shrimp. Second, this stand-alone restaurant has a cozy interior with 3 or 4 tables. Third, the service was great for dine-in service. The owner stopped by to ask for feedback on the dishes (which were excellent with a spice level of "1"). . She shared the importance of "9" in Thai culture as a word for growth and prosperity. The restaurant was opened on July 29, 2022 and is located at 29 Broad Street. We would strongly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting New Britain, CT or traveling through the area. They have a robust take-out service as well.

We didn't know that they sold Belgian chocolates until we arrived, and we thought that was so unique and a fun representation of the cultures of the owners. We felt right at home here, and Dirk couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful with suggestions. We were feeling adventurous and tried items from their authentic Thai specialities menu, and were so glad that we did. My husband tried the northern Thai style larb, which Dirk told us has herbs harvested from mountains of Thailand in it, and my husband loved it so much he declared it the best dish he's tried so far this year. We were happy with everything we tried, and the chocolate tiramisu was so good for dessert. You can't come here and not take some chocolate home! We already can't wait to come back, and we enjoyed supporting such a passionate business.

The Papaya Salad Laos was VERY VERY salty, as in "not edible salty." I threw it out after 2 bites. If you have high blood pressure, don't eat this. I've had this before in a Loatian restaurant, and it's usually not this salty. I think it may have been prepared incorrectly. Double salted by accident? That's the only explanation I can think of. I hope they fix it. Get the Thai version - it's milder.

When you enter, you walk through a boba tea and sweets area before turning the corner into the restaurant seating, which was a bit unexpected but interesting. When I arrived, I was asked to wait briefly for a group to leave before being seated since the space is very small and there wasn't enough room to pass. Once they moved, I was seated right away, which I appreciated. There were a few cleanliness and service issues that took away from the experience. The table hadn't been fully cleaned and still had spilled flower water on it, with napkins on the floor underneath. We also didn't have napkins or silverware at the table initially, so I grabbed napkins from the other side of the restaurant to wipe the table. I did mention this to the staff, but the table wasn't addressed afterward. The food was okay and had flavor, though it was fairly simple and became repetitive after a few bites. Service overall felt a bit slow, and we waited for a while before someone helped us check out. Overall, the experience was just okay. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and service, I think this place has the potential to be much better.

I decided on an order of chicken wings with Thai sauce, and beef with mixed vegetables in a garlic sauce. The wings were on point, crispy with Thai sauce. Sauce was mild and sweet The beef with mixed vegetables and garlic sauce was awful! Grey beef, looked poached, with mixed vegetables. Veggies but the cabbage were ok, cabbage tasted spoiled. The garlic sauce.... Let's call this jarlic and water, which was so bland, this dish seemed like a dietetic dish! No kick at all! The jasmine rice was bland until I put the remaining chile sauce on it. This was a disappointment, given the restaurant was slow at 12:15 on a Wednesday I expected food with a kick, instead diet bland food was served.

It is BYOB with a package store in the same plaza. Offers your traditional Thai fare with Laotian dishes as well. It has a mixture of Southeast Asian cuisine (Thai, Laos, Vietnamese). How do I know? Well, I'm Laotian. I may a bit of harsh critic due to eating authentic Lao/Thai food my entire life. Got the beef pho with all the fixings minus the rice noodles. Without the rice noodles it still cost the same so I should've just asked for it on the side. It was okay. 5/10 Chicken laab was decent but lacked authentic bit of flavor. They told us they could make pork laab but if you look at my two photos, they look identical. The "pork laab" tasted like bacon. It seemed like they just cooked the ground chicken in bacon grease and called it pork. I did tell the chef it was greasy and my thoughts and her response was, "It's pork, of course it's greasy." Okay, but you cooked it in bacon grease and tried to fool me. Pork laab 1/10. Chicken 3/10. Papaya salad cones Thai or Lao style. I asked for Lao style because I want the extra fermented fish sauce funk that I love. It had some shredded carrots and medium spice was great for me. They served it with ice berg lettuce wedge but I asked for cabbage (authentic way to eat it). Flavor was good. 6/10 Seafood rad Ma (lad na) was mediocre. Bay scallops and calamari were overcooked. Flavor lacked and was bland, even after I dressed it up. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. I prefer no muscles but there was plenty and only Chinese broccoli as the only vegetable in the dish. It would've been nice to see carrots in it too. 4/10. I ordered two identical dishes of this and I was charged two different prices; $18 & $19. Look at your receipt! The star of the show was the beef jerky and fried chicken wings! They were phenomenal and I'd probably only order the two apps with sticky rice again. 10/10 Ambiance is great. Decor is beautiful as they left it from the previous owners. Clean, average noise level.

The veggie rolls were unremarkable (as most are) but the peanut sauce that came with them was quite tasty. The portion size of the pad thai noodles was enormous. The tofu was well flavoured and moist. The noodles themselves were a bit bland and needed more of a kick (something that one could accomplish with the Sriracha on the table). The eggplant dish was full of veggies, which I appreciated greatly, but was overly oily and underflavored. The rice that came with the stir fry was perfectly cooked. The ambiance was lovely, replete with "lush" vegetation and some bamboo ornaments. The restroom was also clean and well-maintained, sadly uncommon in this part of New England. Service was good. The waitress was pleasant and the food came out quite quickly. Overall, it is highly unlikely that I will return, because there are certainly better restaurants if one were to travel a bit further to Middletown. This is however a good option in the Rocky Hill area.
