    Chicken and shrimp hibachi

Yume has got to be one of my favorite spots for hibachi. The food is always delicious and you definitely get a bang for your buck when ordering. I love that for the dinner menu they give you noodles AND fried rice, generous amounts of veggies and meat! I always order takeout but the service has always been great when it's time to pick up. Definitely give them a try if you're ever around.

To the left is the sweet potato roll. At the top of the photo is fancy roll & and the bottom roll is seafood roll.

I am a bit of a food snob, & the menu was worded crudely, so I wasn't sure what to think. However, I was pleasantly suprised. We ordered a seafood roll, a fancy roll & a sweet potato roll & split them. All 3 were good, but the Seafood roll was my favorite. My companion preferred the Fancy roll & we both enjoyed the sweet potato. Our waitress Grace was a pip! She is a fashion design student & spoke perfect English, just very very fast. She is a gem. I would definately recommend it & return myself.

Pulled in on this Tuesday afternoon to an empty parking space right in front of the place. Went inside around 12:30, and the place was slow. What happened? Years ago I came in here and this was the place to be. It was jamming. It was packed, it was hopping! I ordered a martini and a number 13 lunchbox, along with the Philadelphia roll. The miso soup was delicious that came with the lunch. My number three lunchbox also consisted of seaweed salad, a crab salad, a shrimp roll, three hand rolls that were salmon, squid (I think) , and tuna. Also accompanying this dish was sticky rice with a crunchy topping. I also ordered a Philadelphia roll, which had the cream cheese in it, because I hadn't had one in a long time and just had to try it The number 13 lunchbox for $15 was totally worth the money. It was delicious and served quickly, I liked the Philadelphia roll, even though I'm no big fan of cream cheese on rolls. The pomegranate martini was solid. Oh my God I could sit here all day Good. This was a great experience, and reasonably priced. This place is handicap accessible all the way around, including ramps and bathroom. I look forward to returning here. I'm just surprised that it wasn't busier than it was because this place is really good. So if you're in the Unionville area, and looking to go to lunch, consider this place.

Takeout review: I was celebrating my birthday and I was craving sushi. My husband and I had takeout from here and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered online and pickup was easy. We ordered nine rolls; yes, we love sushi and we can eat! The prices were comparable to other sushi restaurants. I can't remember all the rolls names but here were a few I do remember: Philadelphia Roll Spicy tuna roll Spicy salmon roll Eel avocado roll Shrimp tempura roll Again, all tasted fresh and I liked all nine that I've tried. I will definitely order from them again!

The sushi at Yume is fantastic. We highly recommend the Phoenix roll. But what makes Yume exceptional is the service! We love Pat! She is so much fun and always makes our experience at the restaurant extra special! Thanks, Pat!

    Hibatchi!
    Dan S.

So last week, I went to a national chain for hibatchi and it was fine but missing that charm that Yume has. The Hibatchi really is top shelf here and has everything you want if you want hibatchi. Good portions. Noodles and rice included. Lots of veggies. Two shrimp. Sake squirted into your mouth. Catching flying squash in your mouth too. It was entertaining but the food was quite good too. It's easy to take this place for granted but teens love this place and they did a really nice job for a birthday group.

Very friendly place with comfortable seating. It is both exotic and a hometown feel. We liked our meals a lot and plan to return.

She is very passionate about the menu and is very attentive to everyone. Thankfully, as our food was served she was there to explain that the best way to experience the chef's creation is to eat it as it presented (without soy sauce) first. She went on to explain that each dish is created with specific textures and flavors in mind to create an intentional balanced bite. She is absolutely correct and I am so glad we listened. In fact, after trying the "second" bite with soy sauce, we recognized that it was much better without it. The soy sauce is homemade and delicious but the sushi is so perfectly executed, it really does not need anything at all to shine. This is not your average sushi joint. The food and service will blow you away. Get the Princess Peach Roll if it's available. The Tiger Roll and the Flame Touch were also fantastic. Hint: the tiger roll comes with lemon slices on top - do not remove the lemon. Trust me.

We didn't have reservations but were easily seated in a booth in the side dining room. Bamboo's menu is very deep and boasts Chinese, Japanese, Thai, sushi, tempura, Bento boxes and more- easily 100 options. Our group decided on a miso soup ($3.50), a Hot and Sour Soup ($3.95), an order of Chicken Tempura ($21 with an included miso soup), an order of Lemongrass Tofu ($15.50), and an order of Tuna Avocado Tartar ($14.95). I had the Hot and Sour Soup and Lemongrass Tofu. I judge H&S soup by its broth, and this was excellent. Deep flavor, none of the watery blandness I see more than once in a while. And it was hot temperature wise and fairly hot spiciness wise. It was meatless, but it packed a lot of vegetables, egg threads, tofu and more. The Lemongrass Tofu included a very generous portion of fried tofu triangles served "Hot & spicy with red & green peppers, red onion & mushrooms in a spicy lemon grass sauce" and a cup of rice. I enjoyed it a lot -the veggies were plentiful, the sauce had a mild spicy burn, and the tofu was tender and delicious. Half of the portion came home with me. I did try an onion ring from my wife's tempura dish and was struck by the lack of oiliness to it. Some tempuras are served with an oil slick in the dish and pieces that glisten like a sky full of stars. The tempura onion I had was great. It was very tender with a crunchy delicious dry batter. Service was excellent, from the moment we approached the hostess station, to being walked to our table, to water glasses and refills, to ordering, to several check-backs, to delivery of our take-out boxes, to the check presentation. Shout out to our server Alyssa, she was great. We had a wonderful experience at Bamboo.

Kyoto... Saturday…read morenight check-in, and there were just a few patrons inside the restaurant, and takeout was slow The menu consisted of appetizers, soups, salads, ramen, hibachi, sushi, sashimi, rolls, and signature rolls Our order went in for two appetizers, one was the pan seared dumplings, and also some fried crab rangoon For the main course, my friend had the shrimp curry ramen, and I ordered a specialty roll called a momoirio roll, and an order of salmon sashimi I also ordered one of those peach ramune drinks After a short wait, the two appetizers arrived. The pan seared dumplings were absolutely delicious, and I would definitely get again. The crab Rangoon to me was a little bit off and flavorless. Also, it wasn't deep fried enough, so it was a little bit spongy and tough, instead of crunchy on the outside with an exploding filling My friend loved the curry shrimp ramen, which had a very generous portion of shrimp included. The salmon sashimi I had appeared to have been colored a deeper hue, which tells me it was probably farm raised. It also was very oily, and very hard to pick up with the chopsticks. I had to fork it. The salmon was also room temperature, which kind of set up a little warning for me like maybe it was a gas station sushi.... I ate it. It was meh The signature roll I ordered was terrible in presentation. It looked like it was wrapped in human skin and kind of grossed me out. The signature roll also had some type of white sauce, spritzed over the top of it, which was not appealing to my eyes. Flavor wise, there was none! I could only taste cucumber. I couldn't taste the lobster, I couldn't taste any other flavors in it. There were some black stuff on top that was crunchy. I didn't know what it was. I had to go back to the menu to see the other ingredients. And as far as the white sauce... I couldn't even imagine a flavor. As for service, the server we had seemed a little bit inexperienced. When I questioned some of the items on the menu, she had no answer and she had to go get a menu to read to me what was included in it. While she kept our water glasses full, she never asked if we wanted a dessert or tea What would have been a nice touch, but missing should've been some noodles with dipping sauce. That didn't happen. Also, maybe some complementary tea while we were looking at the menu would've been nice... Other than around the checkout- pick up-workstation, this restaurant was sparse and lacking decor. It also seemed like there was a lot of wasted space Somehow, I just was expecting more like some typical and traditional Japanese style. Boy was I wrong. As far as a date night atmosphere to remember, dining here isn't it. This place could offer the town so much more, as it seems like it could be so comfortable to hang out here have a few cocktails and enjoy a nice traditional Japanese dinner. But it misses the mark. I'm so on the fence with the rating. It definitely isn't a five piece. It's not even a four star. Parking is plentiful in the plaza. For $72 with the tip, and without alcoholic beverages; I think this visit was not a value. Fair service, no ambience, very limited menu... so reluctantly I give it three stars It just seemed like I didn't feel welcomed. When leaving, I paid a little compliment to one of the young males behind the register and he just seemed to take it with a grain of salt like in one ear and out the other....not even a thank you In closing this place is best for takeout

The dining area is still very sparse in design and coverage. The wait staff were still apathetic, and the wait times for things is still a little long. The Korean fried chicken was very tasty, sweet and salty Korean bbq sauce on perfectly fried wings was delightful. We opted for the pho, and that was very good. The broth was rich and flavorful, no need to season it was perfect already. The brisket was tender and still had a strong brisket flavor. There was a good amount of meat to the bowl and the noodles were fresh. The noodles did clump a bit, but they easily separated when agitated. All of the sushi was not as successful. The rolls lacked any significant flavor and missed some basic elements of sushi preparation. The rice was not seasoned, was not sticky, and the fish was roughly cut. The spicy rolls lacked spice and the crunchy rolls lacked crunch. It was presented well, just didn't show the level of care the front of the menu had. We informed our server of the sushi problems and she apologized but still charged us for all the sushi. Making an otherwise great experience not so great. I would recommend those who come here to focus on the front of the menu exclusively. Those dishes are stellar and are well worth the asking price. The sushi menu on the back is basic in flavor, pricy, and only worth having if you really need sushi. It does limit their menu significantly, but the quality difference is drastic.
