I've been craving dim sum for a while and so we decided to go here since it was not too far away from us and they have their own parking. When we got there, I stood in line to get a table and what I didn't like was that other patrons cut in front of me to get a number. When I found out there was a 30 minute wait, my family and I decided to do takeout. We got a variety of dishes and total was like $60 which I thought was decent. We bought 2 containers of eggplant stuffed with shrimp cake (each container had 3pc), steamed egg custard buns, shrimp shumai, this chicken/ taro/ kani wrapped with tofu skin, coconut milk dessert, and pork shumai. I ate the dishes with shrimp and chicken and my husband ate all of the dishes. Even my baby tried some of the food. Overall, the food was tasty. I would prefer these dishes again. I think in the future, we have to get here by 9am to get a table. I liked the food and wouldn't mind going there again or getting takeout.

This is still one of my top three favorite dim sum places in south Brooklyn. I usually go here or Fortune Palace on 86th Street for dim sum. However, I find that Fortune Palace is much more crowded even though the food is slightly better, whereas the wait for a table at Golden Palace in the daytime really isn't that bad. I think it helps that they have a whole takeout section in the lobby, which I've partaken in a few times to save on tips and time. And if you don't see an item that you want in the takeout section, the workers are willing to go into the kitchen/dining area to find it for you. Sometimes there's a short line for the takeout section, but it's much faster than waiting for a table (usually). I like how innovative this place is with the food options. They have so many new desserts that I haven't seen at other places, though not all are hits. The ladies rolling around the food carts can be a little pushy with trying to get you to order something from them, but I don't blame them. I'm sad to say that their egg tarts are hit or miss, sometimes they're a little too bland, but other times, they're delicious. Also, I love how I wrote in my very first review that I want dim sum places to start selling custard (not salty egg yolk) buns again because I discovered that they have it here in piggy buns! Nowadays, instead of parking in the lot, which you have to pay $2 or something similar for, I'm able to find parking around the corner near the residential area.

Super packed and loud dimsum place with valet parking on site. You get put on a paper list and wait. Sometimes you might get your own table or share which is normal. Classic dim sum dishes were here like cheung fun, har gow, pork or shrimp siu mai, and yellow sponge cake. Customer service was lowkey disorganized and inattentive. The fish and green beans came out extremely salty and oily but nothing can be done about it.

I frequent this dim sum spot with my parents and the kids whenever we go to Brooklyn. It's one of the larger dim sum restaurants in the Bensonhurst area without having to go to congested 8th Ave. As far as variety and selection goes, they have all the usual and traditional dishes (can't complain abt that!) and newer more innovative dim sum dishes as well. Their food is pretty decent. Some dim sum dishes didn't disappoint such as the rice noodles, sticky rice, cha siew bao, siu mai, shrimp dumping. My least favorite there was probably their mochi pineapple bao? I've definitely had it before and it wasn't that chewy here, it was rather flat tasting. A few dishes were room temp/cool at most, not hot/warm. Overall, it serves its purpose in terms of larger party size and wide selection of dim sum dishes. It is still our go to dim sum spot in Brooklyn.

Probably like you, dear reader, I look up restaurant reviews so that I'm not dining at a spot that most people disapprove of. If a place has 100+ reviews like this place does, I find that the star rating tends to be pretty accurate. In this case, I think most of the negative reviews are for unbelievably long waits and chaos going here for dim sum. If you know anything about dim sum in NY, it's that there aren't that many spots that have traditional pushcart dim sum, and the spots that do get mobbed out. Chinese folks take their weekend dim sum brunch seriously, often getting to restaurants as early as 9am when they open for their dumpling fix. I've heard stories of the multi-hour waits here, and I have no doubt they could be managing the crowds better. However, strolling in for dinner recently was a perfectly pleasant and low-key experience. My family booked a table for about 16 people in the main ballroom, and we received very attentive service being one of the few occupied tables there that evening. We did peep a family who booked one of the fancier private rooms, and they ordered expensive dishes only. We eyed every lobster, crab, and salad dish that passed from the kitchen, past out table, over to their luxury private room. While we felt like mere peasants, ordering the likes of xo clams, walnut shrimp, spare ribs, mapo tofu, and green beans, we found the food to be plenty flavorful, albeit saltier than I'm used to (and I'm used to salty). The dining room, replete with chandeliers, lavender table cloths, and a big screen, is about as nice and fancy as any newer dim sum restaurant in Southern Brooklyn. They definitely do well during Chinese wedding season.

We ordered an array of dim sum items for take-out. Everything was delicious and filling. I found the eggrolls too oily, but everything else was on point. My favorites are the turnip cake, sticky rice, and fried glutinous dumplings.

Decent spot for dim sum. Went as a group of 6 around noon on a weekend and had to wait a considerable amount of time (1+ hr) for a table. The long wait is typical for this time of day, as lots of families love to sit and chat over tea. They give you a number for your party and you wait until yours is called out loud, so stay aware. This spot has the dim sum carts going around with the usual dishes you love - har gow, shu mai, rice rolls, etc. and you can order larger rice or noodle plates through the waiters. Their dim sum isn't bad, a solid 7/10 depending on your taste. I also came here for dinner before and it was pretty standard, which is a good thing. Nothing you wouldn't expect, in terms of taste and offerings. Overall, a solid Chinese restaurant all around. Just be weary of long waits during dim sum time, as you can't make reservations like you can for dinner.

It was New Years Day (1/1/25) and I had placed a big order (11 dishes) at 11am for pick up at 12pm and it was no problem and on time. Every time we have a get together with friends, we always order Chinese food from here. They have a great selection and variety and price is decent too. One of the best dishes that day was the lobster sticky rice! Up next was the teriyaki short ribs (juicy and tender). They never disappoint and service was quick and nice.

Shrimp Dumpling -

The dim sum place around the corner was closed due to a wedding so we saw this was still open and went. We came around 45 minutes until closing and it was last call. We ordered shrimp dumpling, shu mai, XLB, and shrimp rice rolls. It was quite good but it's double the price from dim sum place! The place is nicer and more upscale too. It was late night snack.

We were there for Father's Day! There were 15 of us, we were given a very comfortable table! Ordered around 6pm, food did not reach our table until close to 7pm. It was a busy night for them! Food was very good and fresh! Service was very good although they were super busy. A waiter denied us to take a photo for the group because of how busy he was. Very authentic Chinese restaurant! Oh and FREE WIFI! Big plus if you have kids! :)

Best Cantonese banquet style restaurant in South Brooklyn. Our favorites are the fried garlic chicken, fried fresh oysters served in its shell, pan fried veal chops, ginger scallion lobster, pan fried lamb chops. Servers are friendly and quick to change your plates. Bathrooms are clean which are rare for Chinese restaurants. Highly recommended!

It is a chaotic mess for the volume they are trying to do. It's not about adding more manpower, it's about streamlining. Tables are sitting empty while people are on the waitlist (not due to reservations), orders are going to the wrong tables, to-go orders are in disarray and have to be re-verified on multiple orders, and it takes a long time to get some water. The Yelp waitlist is useless here - wait was supposed to be 5-10 minutes and it turned into almost 40. All this could have been avoided with more planning, better organization, and training. Kitchen staff doing their job well. Front of house needs work.

For food, we got sat in a corner where the carts couldn't be pushed through so the staff would ask if we wanted stuff which makes it hard if you don't speak some form of chinese. Overall, I managed with Mandarin. We were still able to get everything we wanted and were pretty full so we were satsified. They do accept card for 15$ or more which is pretty easy if you're going for dim sum. They do have table service for that which mades things easier than having to go to the front. Foodwise, everything was good, affordable, and this spot is very popular. I'd still go back when I crave some dim sum.

The ambiance is calm and cozy -- definitely a good spot whether you're grabbing a couple drinks, a quick bite, or sitting down for a full dinner. I ordered the Joker roll, and that's where things started to click for me with sushi. The tuna and avocado paired with the spicy red sauce really made it stand out -- honestly tasted great and something I'd get again. Also had the Mongolian steak with rice, which was another highlight. Presentation was fire -- it comes out still heating on a hot platter, which makes the whole experience feel elevated. Flavor matched the presentation too. Service was solid overall, no real issues there. The only downside was with a deal they were advertising ("3 for $33"). It was shown on their website and even posted outside the restaurant, which was actually one of the main reasons we chose the spot. When we tried to use it, we were told they weren't honoring it that night and that the deal had been causing them to lose money. I understand adjusting pricing if something isn't working, but if that's the case, the promotion should be removed or clearly communicated ahead of time. Having it still advertised and then not honoring it was frustrating and took away from the experience.
