Good place to get fed, cheap and variety of food. Was visiting the presidential library, it was lunch time and the kids were hungry. When wanting more than Chinese (fried rice, chow mein, broccoli beef and orange chicken), a bite of California roll, tuna nigiri and salmon nigiri, have some Mongolian bbq on the side and eat various fish, crab and shrimp...this is the place. The buffet experience you would expect. They are quick at seating and the place is usually busy so that's a plus. Selection on the bar is good and most importantly to me they keep the trays full so the food is fresh. The Mongolian station is pretty cool, admittedly I don't use it much because there is so much other variety. Service on refills could be better but other than thay this is a good go to. Decided to try this place. It is hit or miss with the dishes offered. I was looking forward to just having sushi & crab. The assorted sushi rolls & the salmon sashimi were good. The tuna didn't look as fresh, so I didn't try it. I was really excited to eat the crab claws. I saw several people takingots of them. However when I cracked them open, they were black inside, at the joints. This means either they weren't cooked to the right temperature OR they weren't stored at the right temperature.  I was waiting for our server to return, so I could tell him but he came to pick up my plate after I had gone back to find something else. Garlic shrimp was tasty but over cooked. My boyfriend liked the chow mein, but I did not try it. The desserts are hit & miss, as well. Flan was bland. Sesame balls were amazing! First time ever coming here. Have lived in the area many years and never come because I thought it would be an experience that I didn't desire to have. Friends chose the place. I dont want to leave a "mean" review, but I am honest. The food was mediocre quality at best. The restaurant itself is very dirty. Dust, mess, old stains, and just old fixtures from the 1980's or 90's (our booth seat was squeaking and sliding and the window shades right next to us were stained with ancient food). It really needs a renovation/deep clean. There were messes throughout the place, including the chocolate fountain in the dessert area which seriously needed to be cleaned up- chocolate all over the floor. The workers also all seemed pretty unhappy to be there, and I don't just say that to rag on them.. They barely served our table and not one of them ever smiled at us. I was also shocked that the cost for 4 to eat on the weekend was $100- so $25 a head for food quality worse than Panda Express. I would not come back, but I wish the business the best and hope to someday see that they've made some positive changes! read more

I'm giving 5 stars cause lots of the reviews I read on this Buffet are too harsh. This is a very big location and they put out lots of food to many people everyday. My first plate was all sushi, very yummy! Second plate was salmon, beef, chicken, egg rolls and noodles. 90% of the food I tried tasted good and fresh. They have a Mongolian grill and a gelato wheel that had many flavors to choose from. Yes the place needs to be remodeled and updated, but I didn't go for the ambiance I went to stuff my face with all different types of food and that's what I did. The service was better then I would next from a Buffet of this size. I went to the front to pay for my meal that I barely took any bites of but the cashier was kind enough to just let us go without paying. This is a good place to avoid. Rude horrible service. The health measures taken by staff and patrons was unacceptable. The man working the Mongolian grill didn't wear a mask, although on the glass was a sign asking customers to. Customers went to the buffet without masks even though there are signs saying required. The crab legs looked like over cooked chicken legs. Black and dry inside. When I asked at 7:15 if they could bring fresh ones the lady started yelling at me saying this is a buffet and what to expect! Wow! So if it's a buffet poor quality is ok...? My family and I use to go here before covid, went once during and food was good, place was your average okay buffet place, descent seating and service. My husband and I just went back for for dinner for the first time in 2 years.. and IT WAS DISGUSTING! The whole place smelled of the bathroom, was super crowded like they shoved in a ton more seating, kids running everywhere, and the womens restroom was like that of a large themepark at the end of the day- so gross! Went here for the promise of crab legs from their website... only to find out they haven't served crab legs in several years. We almost walked away, but decided to try it anyway. This place has lots of options, and like most buffets, nothing here has the "wow" factor, it's just OK. It was nice to see so much sushi, but the fish was definitely lower grade than a normal sushi joint. Overall, it was OK... we wouldn't be back, but glad we gave it a shot. What a great find! One of the best buffets we've been able to find since they were all shut down during covid. We went today for the first time to the seafood buffet on Sunday and it was wonderful! They've got a wide variety of foods, including mongolian buffet, sushi, fried chicken, meat dishes, veggies, salads, fruits, etc. And there is a chocolate fountain and other desserts, including homemade gelato, which was absolutely delicious! Wow !!! This place could descent....but they just don't care. Not the most friendly staff or welcoming. Bathrooms smell so nasty !!! Hand soap is all watered down and this says a lot of how cheap the owners are. I just contact the VENTURA COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH (VCPH), this place need seriously clean up, super dirty restaurant, specially the wall, floor and all the benches. Windows have a bunch of dead flies hidden if you want eat there, make sure check Underneath your table and benches, there are some food dropped and dirty napkins, probably been there more than an month. I found myself driving in to Simi Valley to pick up some items for my girlfriend at Party City. On my way there, I noticed Panda Buffet and knew I had to stop by to try it out since I haven't had a buffet since before the pandemic. The building itself is quite unassuming. Its located next to a Best Western hotel as well as a busy street so I imagine it can get busy during peak hours. I liked that there were enough hand sanitizers for all customers to practice safety precautions. There was a sign at each table that read "please use masks and gloves before going to the buffet" which is a great idea but I saw no gloves for patrons to use so that was a bit confusing. Anyway, the food options are diverse and delicious. I went for the sushi options first. They have tuna, salmon, octopus, squid and shrimp nigiri to try. I tried them all and they were great (for a buffet place). They also had sashimi options but I didn't try those other than the lightly grilled ahi tuna they had with seasoning and sauce. Next, I had the hot food items. They offered crab claws and legs but I didn't see any tools for helping to break the exoskeleton. I tried the coconut shrimp, boiled shrimp, and steamed fish. All were very delicious and savory. I then tried some of the more traditional foods like crab rangoon, broccoli beef, short ribs, and roasted chicken. All were very good and filling! The price for one person was about 22 dollars (drink included) which is very reasonable for the selection they offered. Great place. I wouldn't go back because its a 30 minute drive from Oxnard but, if I were a local, I would definitely visit this place multiple times. read more

This is my first time here and I am very impressed with the food selection, cleanliness, and service I received here. I was craving for buffet and searched for one near my area, this place showed up on my Yelp. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much after reading so many negative reviews. BUT...omg this place is definitely very clean and organized unlike all other negative reviews have mentioned. Staffs are very friendly too. I also noticed the staffs working for hot food area are constantly cleaning the area and re-filling all the food. Everything I tried was amazing and very flavorful!
