There are not words in the English language that can accurately describe how I feel... My brother in-law and I attend this eatery AT LEAST once a week after a heavy Leg Day. This food nourishes our quads immensely. It is possible that ~30% of my body's lean muscle mass is compromised of beef from Family Mongolian BBQ. How would I describe the chefs? For Mozart, his instrument was the pen. For Michelangelo it was the chisel, for the Great Zosimo and Romeo... IT IS THE WOODEN COOKING STICKS. Every mountain of meat I've brought to them has been cooked superbly... it makes me emotional just to think about it. How would I describe the service? Every time I walk into this fine establishment I am consistently greeted by the beautiful and kind Nana. Once while walking to my table with my plate, I tripped and just when I thought all was lost... Nana, in Maguire-fashion, swooped in and caught me. She saved both my life and my dignity. We love this restaurant so much! We've been coming here for many years. Authentic Mongolian BBQ for a great price. The ingredients are very high quality and the service is wonderful and friendly. I loaded up on lamb and beef, both of which were tasty and good quality. They even provide plastic gloves so you can press your meat! Love this place. This is my fifth visit. No more free egg rolls. Just soup. You can get the pocket bread for $1+. Food still taste great. Service is always friendly and quick. The only thing that I don't like is the garlic. Basically, just water. Maybe have to come early so it's new container full with chopped garlic. I always come around 2. So it's only water. My family and I come at least once a month all the way from San Fernando just because the food is that good. They have plenty of meats, vegetables and sauces so that anyone can find comfort here. I came here in the midafternoon. It was completely empty. It was a large and comfortable dining room. The server, was helpful. I chose, instead of getting the all you can eat option, I ordered ala cart. I got the chicken with mixed veggies, fried rice, hot and sour soup and an iced tea. The soup came out first. It was really, really good hot and sour. The flavors were balanced and you could tell that someone put care into the preparation. Note that they only serve a 2 person portion, so I had to take some home. The the fried rice and the chicken/veggies came. Also really tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Went around 3pm on Friday. There was only one other person but we came at good time as at about 4 more people showed up. The place didn't smell like a restaurant. Didn't smell like food. It had an interesting smell that want good or cleaning products. The food was pretty good. We got to pick all the ingredients from the meat, veggies, and sauces. This is a great place to take the family. My kids love the buffet style because they can choose whatever they like. Great value, the food is consistently good, and the owners are super nice. There's something about jamming as much meat and vegetables as possible into one (or two) bowls and guessing which combination of sauces and oils will be the most satisfying. Frankly, you can follow their suggestions, but I usually wing it; the only problem being I can't for the life of me recall what I did the last time we were there. Regardless, I've never had a bad meal there. In addition to the Mongolian BBQ, there's a reasonably extensive menu of Chinese dishes, many of which I've tried. They're not AYCE like the BBQ line is, but the portions are plentiful and most everything is delicious. They have great options at the veggie bar and the meat is great quality I think the big difference is, these guy know how to cook Mongolian bbq! The place at the TO mall always overcooks the meat and turns it into beef jerky. My family loved this place! We've been going to a Mongolian BBQ in Camarillo for years, but the cleanliness has been going downhill. Each time we go the place gets dirtier and dirtier. We had to stop going. We're so glad to have found Family Mongolian! It's quick grill cooking where the raw ingredients are stir fried.  Buffet line to get frozen shrimp, squid, lamb, pork, beef, chicken. Plethora of veggies, sauces, chow mein noodles, even canned  pineapple chunks to put in a bowl to take up to the counter where the grill man cooks your food in under 3 minutes. It's here when you can ask for steamed rice.  Complimentary egg flower soup & fried veggie egg roll. Huge space with plenty of tables. About $20 for all you can eat which is a good deal now a days after one year of high inflation. The egg foo yung arrived drenched in a sweet and sour sauce (emphasis on the sour with a burn that seemed like chili oil) instead of the brown sauce I received on previous orders. Very disappointed. The service was ok, the lady was a little slow on getting our drinks and bread but she was the only one out there so it wasn't too bad. My daughter and I came here today for lunch. She suggested it when we were trying to decide where to eat. I used to go to a Mongolian BBQ place in Claremont when I was a kid and thought I would give this a try. Overall, the food was pretty good. You get a bowl, choose your meat, add some veggies and other toppings, and choose your sauce. They also have noodles that you can add to your bowl as well. Then they cook it up and add a scoop of rice on the side. The young man that was the waiter was nice. While we picked our food out, he asked for our drink order. After our food was cooked, he had picked a booth for us and our drinks were there waiting for us. They also brought us one mini egg roll each and a cup of egg drop soup. The egg roll was good, very crispy. The soup was okay. It wasn't very hot and a little too gelatinous for my taste, but it was good enough. The restaurant seemed a little rundown and the tables/booths looked like they needed another wipe down. After we sat down, we never saw anyone again until we were ready to leave and pay at the front. Found out today that they changed ownership over a year ago. Hands down, still best Magnolian BBQ in town. When we first walked in, we were greeted right away with a smile.
