Mediocre food, gimmicky setup Came here with a friend who's craving skewers. Food is okay, nothing exceptional. Very typical selections, Some of the skewer portions are leaning on the small side. We had to fill up by ordering fried rice. Environment is okay, but not likely gonna return. Food 6, Service 8, Ambiance 7, value 6

A very interesting experience and I'm glad I went but probably will not go again. As others have mentioned, it is HOT sitting in front of the grill. I truly underestimated the heat and you really will sweat if you sit too close. The other complaint is just that everything is so slow. This really isn't the restaurant's fault since cooking the meat is kind of the point, but it still feels agonizingly slow waiting for the first bite and then again on our second order. Perhaps this is actually why the place is usually full (because people end up staying for so long). The food itself was quite good. Nothing special but definitely good tasting skewers. Beer tower was nice too since there were multiple sizes. The servers are somewhat attentive. Sometimes they're super on top of things and will come move your skewers to the warm zone when they're done cooking but other times it's super difficult to flag them down. Overall still worth experiencing, but definitely could have been better.

This place allow customers to cook the skewers in the rotating heat grill in the centre of the table. Therefore everything is served uncooked and fresh. The waitress comes around often to check the food and cook it for you as the night goes on. The spices they use are very authentic. Perhaps the best skewer place in Vancouver Highly recommend if you want some authentic Chinese skewers

Loved our experience here. YES it is quite warm inside, but what do you expect when you're grilling over a gas grill? Great options for skewers ranging from lamb to pork to beef along with kidney and chicken hearts plus some veggies and bread. A few of the skewer options do come out already cooked for you like the kidney to ensure appropriate cook time. The concept is awesome - the skewers are placed on the rack and continually rotate. The servers let you know how long to wait. But they also come around quite often and help take things off when they notice they're done. There is a rack above the heat to keep cooked skewers while you eat. You also get three different kinds of sauce/spices to dip your skewers in. Loved the convenient tiny fork to pull off the meat from the skewer easily. The service was excellent - they noticed I was pregnant and gave me a pillow to put behind my back. It was always pretty full but they do keep a list and call you when your table is ready. Would be great with a bunch of friends too - they have table tappers for beer!

A fun experience! Been wanting to try a restaurant where skewers rotate and cook on a grill in front of you. My group actually was planning to go to a restaurant down the block but it was full so we stumbled upon here. It was about a 30 min wait for our group of 7. The main items we ordered were the lamb, pork belly, chicken gizzard for the grill. The fried rice was really good and went well with the meat. It was also a good portion. My friend really enjoyed their bread and toasting it over the grill. The meat was all good quality but we felt that the portions were a bit small for the price. In total, we spent around $350 and we didnt feel super full. The food was tasty and a fun experience but we felt like we could eat more.

looks clean inside, like the idea BBQ my own orders in front of me with self roller make the skews evenly cook, and also I can order one of each skew not like others BBQ skew place need to order minimum 5. Suggest more options flavors in Sojus!

The restaurant's concept of "rotating skewers" seemed really interesting so I decided to go. I got the lamb/beef/asparagus with enoki mushrooms/pork belly. Overall, it seems that the meat was marinated in the same sauce, which I found to be quite sweet. The meat quality was okay but I had the same sweetness in every bite which I found overpowering. I did not enjoy the sauce that they used to marinate the meat... personally I prefer Happy Tree House skewers compared to here (in terms of taste). The interior was clean, simple, and nice. The servers were very fast to give you the skewers and to clean up. !!!! Be careful because it gets very hot since you are sitting right in front of the rotating grill. My face seemed like it was getting cooked alongside the meat. You aren't able to adjust the heat, and the temperature is quite high since you are cooking the raw meat. It takes approx. 10 mins to cook the meat skewers.

Food quality is not good, we ordered the lamb skewers, the meat is dark, but the server(the one with red hair) is not changing for us. We also ordered the Napa and enoki mushrooms but both of them come with a lot vermicelli. I'm not sure whether they marinated the meat, they all taste no flavored, no enough salt, only cumin and dry chili powder.

Their business is situated in a busy mall and it's more of a take out place vs a sit down restaurant. They also operate as a butcher shop. The workers here are really friendly and I never have issues ordering for someone who doesn't speak Cantonese/Mandarin. I rotate between ordering their roasted pork, soy chicken, and steamed chicken. All are amazing, especially the steamed chicken!! I ordered this by mistake once and didn't realize something so simple could be so delicious. The ginger scallion sauce they provide with it is so good. Everything always tastes fresh. Prices are great too, especially with the US to CAN conversion. Highly recommended!

Visiting Richmond while…read morein Vancouver was a must, HK style BBQ was a necessity, and Parker Place had all the hallmarks of a hit, so we set a course and were not disappointed. Strolling up, there was a line. Good sign. The meats in the window were glistening and dripping delicious juices. Through the corner of the glass you could see the meat carver chopping each order and placing it in containers with their signature sauce. We waited a short time and were greeted at the counter. Almost every customer before us was Chinese and I'd watched the staff speak with them in both Mandarin and Cantonese, but both employees spoke to us in English (sincerely appreciated). We ordered a small amount of fatty and lean char siu and some roast duck, which he promptly selected from the window and chopped to order. The fatty was a bit much for me, but the lean char siu was absolutely delicious, and the duck had a nice crispy skin and juicy meat, all of which was delicious too. The sauce took up to the next level. IDK what it is about the soy served with bbq but it's either infused with the seasonings of the meat or the two combine in your mouth to make magic. Parker Place is a solid stop for this type of cuisine and a good starting point for exploring it in Richmond. I look forward to comparing them all over future visits.

Every item we ordered was well prepared and true to the HK flavors you'd expect -- nothing overly salty or greasy, just balanced and satisfying. We tried half a BBQ duck and the three-meat combo with rice, and both were excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous, and I especially appreciated how generous they were with sauces -- a small detail that goes a long way. If there's one area for improvement, it would be the food temperature. Nothing came out piping hot, which left me wondering if the dishes had been sitting out for a bit -- or perhaps the restaurant just doesn't see as much volume during off-peak hours. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but hotter plates would elevate the experience. Pricing was very reasonable, especially with their ongoing specials, making it an easy choice for a casual meal that delivers on flavor and value. Despite the quiet setting, Yummy BBQ deserves more attention -- it's a solid spot for classic HK BBQ done right.

I didn't pick the cheapest choice on the menu and instead I ordered the roast duck leg as my dinner. The place is not very large, I guess they target to serve more take out orders. The staff members are welcoming. The vibe is very similar to those in HK. The roasted duck leg is very delicious and juicy. Though it's already close to the end of the business hours but it was still tasty with the plum sauce. Portion is large. Definitely I will try their BbQ pork and chicken in my next visit! I'm really satisfied!

Prime kalbi short rib was our favorite, although yaki shabu was a close second. The shoyu chicken thighs were also delicious. I would definitely order the garlic chicken noodles again! The beef tongue is also not as tender as I remember it being in the past. The herb and garlic butter for the broccoli was a solid flavor enhancer. The gyu-sushi was kind of a disappointment - it was like a roast beef slice on rice with some seasoning. Unfortunately, the place didn't look well cleaned and maintained. We intended on getting the à la carte menu at first but realized that based on how many big eaters we had, it was more bang for our buck with the all you can eat menu. We chose the lowest tier of all you can eat and there were some people who preferred seafood; even if you upgraded to the highest tier the selection in our opinion, didn't get drastically better that it was "worth it". We had a party of six and was seated at a long table with a divider. When we got to our seat, the staff had placed the divider at exactly the table edges connecting the two stove but it was so squishy and uncomfortable for 6 people that we had to move the divider over a little. There's a time limit for all you can eat however with one stove and us not knowing that the vegetables came raw and in full foiled packages, it took a long time to grill anything. Our waitress came over many many times to remind us about the time limit and even then... we were well over our time limit even though we only put in two rounds of food. One stove shared between six people was awful. It's not like our stove could cook any faster even if the waitress rushed us. We were even ending the meal with s'mores and the waitress couldn't wait any longer and brought over the bill. We had to put down our s'mores stick to pay the bill so she could leave us alone to finish the meal... the restaurant was not busy, there were plenty of empty tables and there was no one waiting in the lobby. Did not appreciate the service here. Overall, food was greasy and not memorable (as I just tried a different grilled meat spot a few days prior). The portions were weird. Most of the dishes were severely under portioned so we made sure to up our portions for round two. Our time was up before we could even put in our final round three order. The staff also didn't respect some of the items. We put in ice cream on the first order as people wanted to use it as a grease palate cleanser and it was only when we followed up with the waitress did they say "oh we thought it should be served at the end of the meal instead since it's a dessert". Perhaps following the orders of what customers mark off would help with better customer service....
