WOW how times have changed! Had a real bad experience last night with Golden Wall. My Husband ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it was awful! The chicken was overcooked and resembled jerky. He also found something sharp in the meal on his first bite. He immediately threw his dinner and the remaining in the garbage. I had War Wonton soup and it smelled so bad and I checked the shrimp and it was so smelly that it also went into the trash. We also ordered chicken and snowpeas, which was okay. This place was so much better several years ago, but not now. This was Golden Wall's last chance and they failed miserably. If you are looking for quality/tasty Chinese Food, I do not recommend Golden Wall. read more

This restaurant has been a go to for our family for decades. The food is healthy and well prepared. We enjoy the large menu. The workers are very attentive and courteous. I like how they decorate the restaurant during holidays and they make you feel like you're at home. I recommend the lunch special. It's really a great bargain for all the food you get. Pretty good Chinese food. Fast service. Two stars because they overcharge you. Orange Chicken was good, spicy string beans were good, chicken chop suey was ok. I ordered the lunch specials and got two generous scoops of brown rice with each item mentioned above. Also had the Wonton Soup. The problem is that they overcharge for takeout orders. Not sure why every item was over $9 as a lunch special when the website has veggie items for $6.25, not $9.45 and other items for $7.25. Seems like I was overcharged $12.10 and I left a tip! My error, I should have asked for the price when I called in my order or should have asked for the itemized price when I picked up my order. read more

Our family has been going to Golden Wall since 2015. This beautiful restaurant has so many wonderful memories we keep close to our heart. Our hostess is always polite, welcomes us in, and sees us promptly. The variety and quality of food is so rare to find these days, if I could rate it 6/5 starts I would! Nice eggrolls, nice rices, noodle dishes just okay mostly. Just beware some of the items or meals are just a meat and vegetables with a sticky sauce poured on. Cooks do not seem to remove the skin from the chicken before cooking. read more

We have been coming to Golden Wall, since my kids were little (they are now teenagers). We thought all these years, it was decent quality, reasonably priced, and great service. We also, have ordered their family meals to go. But this last time, we were very disappointed. Like mentioned before, we have been coming here for many year, but the place needs a little fixing up. The interior is run down, and dirty. We ordered the King pao chicken, the eggs rolls, lo mein noddles, and the teriyaki chicken. The quality of the food decreased tremendously, it's edible food, to fill your stomach, but lacks taste and quality. The worst was the teriyaki chicken, it was fried with skin. It was so bad, we pretended to eat it, because we are not ones to send it back or complain. It's going to be a very long time, before we go in to dine in. When the entrée arrived it was a large pile of noodles and five pieces of broccoli I sent it back for more vegetables; they brought it back with cabbage added I said I couldn't eat at. The gracious waitress offered to give me something instead I got stirfried vegetables with garlic sauce: it had no flavor. This Chinese restaurant doesn't know how to cook Chinese food that's a problem. The health of this indoor palm is emblematic of the flavor of their food. There is a disclaimer of no added salt or sugar... News flash Chinese food is flavorful by design. Don't take away the signature ingredients. Health problems is not your concern; if people shouldn't have sugar or salt that should be their own regulation, not yours. Make excellent food and the world buy it. I have to admit, the first time that I are here, I got violently ill. It was about 2017. It wasn't until the pandemic hit and I have tried most of the local businesses for take out. I craved Chinese food and I gave Golden Wall another chance. EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL!! Shrimp with garlic was perfectly cooked. Egg roll, no complaints. Could be better, though. Salt and Pepper Tofu was delicious Beef and broccoli, seasoned well and perfectly cooked broccoli Hit and sour soup, delicious but could use more mushrooms. This used to be the place to go for value and delicious Chinese food in the area but no longer! I have continued my patronage of this place throughout time and each time I go here (about every 3-4 months) and pick up a menu, I've noticed their prices has consistently gone up EACH time! Now I don't mind paying higher prices for good food but not only did their prices hike up but you now get smaller portions and usually a lot more veggies than meat now. Yes, we all know food prices has gone up hut not to the extent they have continuously raised their prices. Their prices has jumped up at minimum 13% to 20% this time around which is ridiculous. This restaurant is exempt from the $20 an hour minimum wage so that's not an excuse but I think they are capitalizing on it but being owner ran businesses. It saddens me to write this review because it used to be our go-to Chinese food restaurant!!! Not until recently, I ordered fish with black bean sauce... and pinnaple chicken. I picked up my order. Upon opening, I immediately noticed that the black bean sauce was missing. I called, and of course, they immediately put the blame on me by saying it's on the side...I said no, there is nothing in my bag. She proceeds to say you said low sodium, so that's how it looks....huh???? I have ordered NUMEROUS times, INCLUDING WHILE PREGNANT...for delivery, and this was missing the black bean sauce. After much back and forth over the phone, they offered to make me a new order. I can't afford to drive back and forth. So all they said was sorry. I didn't like how they tried to blame it on me. The delivery came quickly, and when I went out to the gate, an old Chinese man suddenly got angry and said, "Why aren't you answering the phone?" I only got one call on my phone. We tried this place so we can believe the review - good or bad. So we ordered take out, Dinner for 3 family special. Got home, so hungry, and the food was awful, lost our appetite. The Orange Chicken pcs were old, the color looked so dry. And as you bite into it, it tasted really bad! The Chicken Lo Mein was not good at all, it has an unusual seasoning taste and we didn't like it compared to other places. The beef with broccoli didn't taste good too! The free egg rolls were nasty!! Conclusion - review was right about bad taste. We will never order here again! Moving on. Wasted $46.00 ugghhh! Plus a choice of soup & salad or eggroll. That place packs the takeout box so full that you can't even close it. Not worth the price and terrible food. Don't trust all of these 4+ star reviews. I got the orange chicken luncheon special to go. Which includes the entrée of choice, 1 veggie eggroll, steamed or fried rice, and Chinese salad. Soup is not included in to go orders, even though you get charged for it all the same which I think is stupid. The 1st box I opened was the "salad" which was an immediate red flag. It was literally torn up pieces of lettuce with some watery, bland dressing. Half of the takeout box was rice with a fourth of the box having rubbery, flavorless chicken. The skin was not crispy as well. The veggie eggroll was just okay. Overall, I paid $12 for some of the worst Chinese American food I've ever had. This is our third time ordering from here and it's a good alternative to a dine in Chinese food restaurant. Our favorite is the orange chicken and the garlic shrimp with veggies. We also order the mapo tofu which was good along with the veggie lo mein. The food was good, but the price point makes me feel like it should be a little better. Hole in the wall Chinese spots are hit or miss but I definitely think this place is a safe bet if you're craving relatively cheap Chinese food. I usually get the noodles, orange chicken, and Kung Pao chicken. I like the brown rice option when I feel like I want to be healthy but who am I kidding when I stuff my face with noodles and rice with a bit of meat... Looking for a solid Chinese restaurant in the area? You've found it! I've only ordered takeout through yelp and I always get my food on time or early. Spicy Salt and Pepper Pork Chop is always good. Right amount of jalapeños and garlic and crispy. It comes with steamed rice. House Special Chow Fun is also good. They use a thinner type of noodle instead of the regular thick noodles. Generous amount of meat and veggies. Lots of parking available in front located in the plaza. Make sure you have utensils when you're picking up food as sometimes they forget adding. read more
