My wedding ring needed fixing because one of the prongs broke off and my diamond had fallen out. I looked online for a repair shop close to home and found Gold N Time. I called to make sure they could fix it and asked for details of how long it would take. My husband took it in for me and since we needed a new prong, was told it would take a day or two. Within a few days we got a call that it was ready. When I came home that night and my husband handed it to me, my jaw dropped. My ring looked amazing. I went to this shop based on all the positive reviews. Took in 3 watches, one of which was a vintage watch. The owner said he was a watchmaker so there shouldn't be a problem replacing the battery on my vintage one. When I went back to pick up my watches, he said the vintage watch needed to be repaired, that the manufacturer no longer makes parts for it. To repair the watch, he would have to replace the entire inside mechanism, for $180. I told him I'd think about it. I then took my vintage watch to the watch kiosk at the mall. He changed my battery, and the watch works fine. Very disappointed with this store. I usually like to support small businesses but I won't be referring this place to any of my friends. read more
