I've seen other places charge 75cents to 90cents. It's cool you can order snacks like fries, and popcorn chicken. Not all boba spots offer food. I can't rate the food because I didn't order any. The inside is a tiny spot with three tables and one long one. Max capacity 18. There's outdoor dining. It's a cute area decorated with faux plants and lights. I recommend this spot for the drinks and a place to hang out. Be aware you may not find a place to sit. read more

If I could give this a lower rating I would. Went there for boba with friends last night. Our drinks were okay, nothing really special. The only reason I'm giving them one star is cause they're open til 11:30 so my friends and I got to chill for a while. The ambiance was ok too. Service was nothing extraordinary. Here's the thing that bothered me the most, I ordered popcorn chicken and it was SOOO disappointing. The chicken was VERY DRY and hard. I'm not sure if it was overcooked or it might have had freezer burn. It was so dry we could barely bite it and the inside was sort of black. It felt like we were eating pebbles. The skewers couldn't even poke through the chicken. It literally crumbled as you bit into it, and it wasn't cheap either. Waste of money. Never again!!!!! After taking a walk around nearby Artesia Park, I found myself in need of a pick-me-up before dinner on a Sunday evening. I was considering stopping by City Plaza, but suddenly remembered that if I did, I would have passed by Gong Cha, which I had never been to before. I decided to see if I could get something at Gong Cha on the northeast corner of South and Pioneer. When I entered the shop, there were no other customers except one other who came in right after me. Since I had never been to any Gong Cha before, I needed time to look at the menu, and I told the other customer that if she knew what she wanted, she could order first. It took her a while to recite her order to the cashier, but I didn't mind the wait since I was still trying to decide what to get. Brewed tea? Milk tea? Smoothie? With the exception of the smoothies I believe, all drinks come in medium or large size, and the large is 50 cents more than the medium. Gong Cha also offers small bites, but I was already planning on getting dinner somewhere else, so I simply settled for a drink. Which one? What helped me decide was the fact that there were orange dots next to some drinks on the menu; the orange dots indicate a popular drink, so that definitely helped me narrow down the choices. The drinks here seem a little cheaper than at other spots, but I think the cups are slightly smaller. The drinks can get even cheaper if you use the 10% Yelp check-in offer. Initially, the cashier didn't know how to apply the offer to my order, but a co-worker of hers told her how to do it. What did I order? A Large Pearl Milk Tea, which comes with boba. I was asked for my desired level of sweetness; I went with half since I wasn't sure how much would be optimal for my taste buds. I was also asked for my desired level of ice. I didn't want much ice, but I also didn't want a warm drink, so I went with 25%. It took about 3 minutes for them to prepare my drink. When I went to the other side of the counter, I saw a staff member with a handful of drinks that were ready for pickup, and I thought my drink might have been one of them. However, it was a different staff member who had my drink and handed it to me alongside a boba straw. I took my drink to the table by the front door so I could poke the straw through the lid. Previously at One Zo in Cypress, I poked the lid so hard that some of the drink spilled out. Luckily, no liquid spilled out this time, so I got to enjoy the drink in its entirety! How was the drink? I thought it was pretty good! The boba was nice and chewy. The drink was neither too sweet nor too flat; it was the sweet spot! I thought it was still a little warm at 25% ice level, which really looked more like 10% if you ask me. However, it didn't bother me that much, so even though I agree with the overall 4-star rating of Gong Cha, I'm giving it the 5th star since my experience was as smooth as smooth gets. I also noticed upon checkout that Gong Cha has a rewards program. I didn't look into it, but if you plan on making return visits, you'll definitely want to take advantage of that! It will be a while before I make a return visit since I want to try other boba spots around town, but I hope this 5-star review will entice other customers to stop by, hopefully multiple times! read more

The drinks are very refreshing and tasty, and the servers are very sweet and helpful too. I almost made a mistake on my drink by adding nearly 175% sweetness plus additional syrup and the server double checked with me to make sure the order was correct, it wasn't and she allowed me to redo the order. She saved me from drinking straight up liquid sugar and even gave me an extra biscoff biscuit, super sweet lady. The store itself has such a cute and cozy ambiance with hundreds of different post it note from previous costumers on the wall as cute decorations. Overall an amazing experience. read more

I got the brown sugar lechata and it was ok. The presentation of the drink and the inside of the store was very nice. The drink however was extremely cinnamon-y and it was like cheese foam on top so it was salty. The boba was good, I will give them that. I might try it again and just get a different drink. After trying other locations, I found that the drinks here did not have the same quality or presentation as the other locations. The store is well decorated and cute with its cherry blossom trees. I placed an order through the website and came in early for the pickup. Near the door, there was a grub hub order pick-up station on the right side. I didn't see another visible pickup station so I waited at the entrance. After checking in with the staff there was some confusion on my order. I did get it sorted but when I got my drink right away I knew the quality of the drink was incorrect based on the appearance. The drink normally comes with brown sugar around the sides of the cup which was not there. The milk tea tasted more like a London fog than a black milk tea. Pretty good spot since its been around for way over a year. I always stop at the donut shop next door for lottery and donuts. Today, I decided to stop by after some shopping with my mother in law. I ordered the first drink on the menu, Creme Brulee foam on top of iced Early Grey Tea with 50% sweetness and added egg pudding. I am pleased with the taste of my drink especially since I don't drink much drinks with heavy sugar. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Oh and their wide straws, that's good for the planet, are made of sugarcane fiber. Thats really neat. Just an FYI, the place is small, so one person or small group in at a time . Masks required. You can choose from Black/Green/Oolong as your base for the milk tea which I quite enjoyed I got it at 50% sugar (which is what they recommend for all of their drinks) and enjoyed the tea flavor, but the boba wasn't very sweet so I was kind of disappointed with that because I know that Gong Cha is loved by many for the Sparkling QQ Passionfruit we forgot to get it at 50% sugar and it was extremely sweet especially because of the lychee jelly, so I will take note of that for my next trip BUT what I really enjoyed is that they BIODEGRADABLE straws !! Likely my favorite boba place in Cerritos; and there are many options. The staff is friendly and has been treating the COVID restrictions really well with all the safety precautions in place with respect to the current guidelines. One of my favorite drinks was Panda milk tea, which was a regular milk tea with both regular boba and Crystal boba, at a good price. Since then, I've decided to change my flavor to Earl grey MT, which I love the flavor for.... But you may need to tone down the sweetness to 50-70%, depending on your preference. The Brian Sugar MT is another drink I'd recommend. Parking is pretty easy in the plaza and I'd recommend Gong Cha to all! read more

The gift card has been burning a hole in my pocket for months. We stopped by two months ago, but they did not allow in-person ordering due to quarantine restriction at the time and we could not use our gift card. We finally had a chance to visit yesterday as they allow one person to be inside at a time. After ordering, the customers wait outside in the parking lot at the tables and chairs provided by the restaurant, and they will bring out the order to you. The business does a great job protecting its workers and customers from COVID-19. No crowding is permitted, and everything is done from a safe distance with protective barriers. The mixed drinks are freshly made and the fragrance of my lemon drink with lemon peels tasted like the essence of summer. The large recyclable straw allow all the bits to pass through, and it's made from a material that's not too flimsy like most paper straws. It doesn't fall apart before you can finish the drink. 9/25/20 covid 19 times I usually go to the beach Blvd location but am located closer to the Cerritos one. I really loved the outdoor seating. Quaint and cute. They're only allowing one customer at a time and only accepting card payments at this time to reduce risk if transmission. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. I actually got to redeem a keychain. My other location is always out. My 4 earl grey milk tea with crystal boba was ready within 5mins. The young lady even walked it out for me.
