I'd been up to Litchfield to visit the distillery there and was looking for a place to eat lunch on the way back and the ratings for Good Eats caught my eye. The menu looked nice and the reviews were great, so I booked a table for a late lunch on a Saturday. It was after 1:00 but the place still had a decent lunch crowd. Although the cocktail menu looked enticing, since we just came from a distillery we stuck with iced tea. The haloumi salad was enticing so my friends and I shared that. I loved the cheese and the fresh figs and the cinnamon dressing was outstanding. I want to have that on all my salad's going forward. For my meal, I had the chicken sandwich. It had a nice sauce along with arugula and avocado and it was the size of a schnitzel! It was really good and I didn't think I would finish it, but I did! The thick steak fries were amazing as well. Fried multiple times, they were super crisp on the outside with a hot, fluffy interior. Another thing I thought I wouldn't finish until I looked down and my plate was empty. We were fully, but the warm apple pudding sounded good we had one. Imagine a delicious sticky toffee pudding with apples....that's what this tasted like. It was really delicious. Service was terrific, friendly and knowledgeable. I'm definitely going to go back here and try the dinner menu.

Seriously good eats! Went for lunch and it wasn't too crowded. The decor is really cool. Service was attentive. Food was fresh. Love the whole vibe of this place.

Excellent food and stellar wine list. Don't pass Good Eats by. It's an unexpected delight. Would recommend they offer some sort of bar menu if they want to encourage locals to make it a regular destination versus a more special dining experience as it's quite pricey and the wine pour was noticeably a little less vs. a little more. They are open for lunch. Has very nice decor and wonderful location on the river. I hope they find their sweet spot and do well for years to come.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday as a group of 4 and sat immediately. The interior is quite elegant, but very comfortable. The service is courteous and friendly. They are very much on top of water and coffee refills, which is great. My only gripe is the price for most dishes on the menu -- "NYC prices." But more seriously, a burger and fries at $22 is a little pricey for lunch. Good Eats Burger - It was great. It's a juicy burger with an interesting (yet very satisfying) combination of kimchi, pickles, and garlic aioli. I am usually not a fan of wedge fries, but these were actually very good and crispy. I've had wedge fries at other restaurants that don't come anywhere near the quality of these. That said, as much as I like this burger and fries, $22 is a little steep. Value: 3/5 Quality: 5/5 Quantity: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

The name of this restaurant is spot on - Good Eats are to be found here. We enjoyed the best meal at Good Eats today for lunch. I've been driving by for three months since they opened and we finally made it in. We are thankful that they decided to open for lunch on Christmas Eve as our party of seven was so cozy in the dining room with a great view of the Housatonic River out the window. I decided to try the fish and chips and was pleased that the batter was so light and crispy. They included a side of mushy peas - so very British! As I looked through the menu, I definitely detected a British influence with several of the dishes. When Edward, the owner, stopped by he confirmed that the executive chef has British training. We will definitely be returning because with my Scottish roots I enjoy these types of meals. I also had a side of zucchini and this was such an explosion of flavor - lemon and a bit of chili spice with crispy onions on top. Our waiter, Johnny, confirmed that there was Szechuan oil involved in creating this wonderful taste. We finished up with sticky toffee pudding and that was another incredible burst of flavor in my mouth. The pudding was so moist and the caramel luscious - topped with vanilla gelato. The perfect end to a meal. My dining companions also enjoyed the Good Bites appetizers of Burrata Mozzarella and Wild Mushroom Flat Bread and entrees of grilled chicken sandwich, the burger and the Pappardelle Pasta. The waitstaff was very attentive and responsive throughout the meal. I always think it is great when a restaurant owner takes the time to visit with customers. We will definitely be back to try more of the dishes!

Absolutely delicious meal here met another couple here. Started with corn fritters they were delicious party I was with ordered the burrata which they also loved. Ordered the flat iron steak which was cooked perfectly. I would for sure return here if I was ever back in the area. The cocktail are also outstanding I had an old fashioned which was made perfectly.

First visit. The location is next to the river, a park trail, and the old rail tracks. Upscale building in the woods, with good indoor atmosphere and delicious food. Lunchtime was great for a smaller crowd, nice music, and the host's attention was kind. The cocktail was delicious, the burger was above a grill top. The Mac n' cheese was a treat, but the sticky toffee pudding was heavenly, and definitely "good eats." We will be back for supporting local.

This place is incredible! The food is both creative and delicious, and the simple yet romantic decor adds a great vibe. The drinks were on point too. This place has quickly become one of my new favorites--I'll definitely be back!

Isabella was our waitress - she was very enthusiastic about the food and recommended many items. She was very pleasant and friendly. I tried said items - but "no bueno"! We got fries and wings for appetizers and they were both hard to chew and swallow; both were over cooked. They did have an onion purée soup special that was extremely delicious but that's where the greatness ends. For entrees we had roasted chicken and the pork chop. The mashed potatoes were quite inedible. I don't even know how they were prepared - it was bad. The pork chop looked good but was over cooked and difficult to chew or swallow. There was a tomato jam and shallots with the pork that didn't belong on a plate with pork at all. It didn't do anything for the plate and the taste was bitter. I wouldn't recommend Good Eats - but the decor was nice.

Cute restaurant! Stopped here for a quick dinner on a Thursday night. We were seated in the front area, but it looked like they had a nice side room for seating as well. Loved their drink menu and thought the Little Birdie was delicious! Food menu is small but has some good options. The burrata was delicious and had this chutney with this wonderful cinnamon taste. For dinner I had the halloumi salad, which had great taste but was a small serving. The burger we ordered was also requested rare and came out well done. The taste was still good though, and the waiter offered to remake it for us. Service was fast and friendly, though it was a little pricier than anticipated. I'd like to try their brunch next time!

Food price / quality (value) rating 8. The atmosphere is Contemporary Country. A fairly limited menu that includes a few unique twists. I had the Good Eats Burger with "triple cooked fries". The burger was very good, and had the unique addition of Asian pickles that created a unique "tanginess" when combined with the other flavors. The wife had the Pappadelle pasta entree, with a side of "smashed cucumbers" (served cold). This dish also had a unique mix of flavors and ingredients that made for a nice surprise. There wasn't bread or a salad served with the entree, however. Service was very good. The dining room has a panoramic view of the Housatonic River. The bar area has about 10 seats at the bar and some high-tops around it, making it a cozy space.

This was a pleasant surprise. We stopped for an early dinner to have something to eat at the bar. It was quiet - around 4:00. It's a small place on the river. Decorated nicely, if you're into ambiance, which I am. We sat at the bar, I ordered a burger, husband got carrot soup and a cauliflower appetizer. My burger was fantastic; done perfectly on a tasty bun. Husband loved the soup and appetizer. Prices are a little high, but what isn't these days? The service was great, the bar tender was perfectly hospitable. Not too friendly but friendly enough to make us feel welcome. I would recommend this place. You'd never know this place is as sweet as it is if you were just driving by. Well worth the stop.

But, the food was pretty good (standard) and the price was right. Look, it's simple food, I mean real simple (the potatoes that come with eggs are just potatoes, no onion, no peppers, plain cut potatoes) -- that's the best way to describe it. The price was inexpensive and the coffee was status-quo which was better than I remembered when last visiting. While the tire shop warned me it'd be a long wait (my car apparently decided to audition for "Most Dramatic Vehicle of 2025"), my son, daughter, and I wandered across the street to 3 Brothers Diner... expecting, you know, a normal diner. BAM! POW! WHAM! We walked straight into what can only be described as the Batcave of dining. Every inch--every single inch--of this diner is covered in Batman memorabilia. From ceiling-swooping Batplanes to walls lined with Dark Knight treasures, it's like stepping into the Caped Crusader's personal brunch headquarters. Gotham could only dream of such ambiance. The place is spotless, the staff friendlier than Alfred offering warm advice, and the food? Absolutely delicious. I had the lasagna--cheesy, saucy, perfect.
