I really love visiting a cute and great coffee shop while traveling. That's why this coffee shop was on my Solvang travel bucket list! If you're in Solvang, I recommend you try their Superfood Latte. They are unique and super delicious, I tried their Blue Moon, and I loved it. Also, it doesn't come with expresso, so you have to tell them that you want to add a shot of it. I also tried their cappuccino, it tasted really really goods For food, my favorite was their Whipped Ricotta and Date Toast, super delicious. Also tried their Pesto Caprese Toast, it's so beautifully presented and tastes very good. The staff was super friendly, excellent service at all! I'm always up for a latte while on a trip and happened to pass by this spot on the way to breakfast. We stopped by afterwards for a morning treat. The menu was basic with all types of coffee as well as more "superfood" lattes. I decided to go with a simple hot matcha latte. They were really quick in getting orders ready. We were stopping in Solvang for breakfast on a drive along the coast, and it would be a disservice to the Yelp community to not comment on how much Good Seed Coffee Boutique was a highlight of not only the morning, but the entire trip. From the first step inside, it was clear that this coffee shop was a community favorite - the baristas knew people's names, children excitedly were begging their parents for their favorite treats, and friends were reconnecting over steaming drinks and good smelling food. The first impression did not disappoint, as our food and drinks were served warm, flavorful, and freshly made (plus perfectly instagram-able, with the beautiful flower vines lining the background of the artfully made lattes). The coffee was rich and delicious, and the food was filling, not to mention absolutely delicious. There may have been some plate licking involved to make the most out of ricotta in the toast. Our only note for anyone on a budget is that the food was expensive. Rightfully so, from the incredible quality, but expensive nonetheless. My partner and I certainly wouldn't be able to afford to make this a routine, but it was a perfect morning treat for an end to a vacation. If you are in Solvang, I highly recommend you at least stop for a drink and a snack, just to experience the local businesses charm, and welcoming community atmosphere. Stopped by here during my visit to solvang. I got a drink before breakfast and one after for my drive back to the Bay Area. It was that good. The workers here are so nice. I'm in love with their matcha vanilla latte. It has the perfect amount of sweetness but they keep simple syrup on the side just in case you want to adjust. They use ceremonial grade matcha so the matcha itself was quality as well! read more

I love the feeling of getting up early in a small and quiet town, where most stores are closed except coffee shop such as this one. But for a small town, it doesn't stop a nice coffee shop from being quite consistent in the amount of guests dropping in. First of all, very cute space. It has plenty of seating for a small environment. They have single origin offering, which is always a treat for me. When I visited it was an Ethiopia offering. I love a good Gibraltar, and they delivered! I love the female barista who made my drink. She took her time to dial in the coffee so my drink will taste good, even when attending other guests drinks and orders. That's what you call hospitality! read more

07.29.2023 My cousin and I walked over from where we were staying to get a midday coffee. This cute little boutique coffee shop is located on the main road. My Americano tasted really good. It was not too bitter or too strong. They also served pastries and sandwiches, but we did not get any this time. They had some merchandise to buy, like beanies, light hoodies, and T-shirts. But sizes were limited to what was on hand. We returned later in the day with our friend. I tried their lavender lemonade kombucha(?). The kombucha was very refreshing, as it had been a pretty warm day. 07.30.2023 We came back early for some morning coffee. I bought a loaf of bread (I asked if they sold it by the loaf). The female employee who we saw both days hooked me up and gave me a frozen loaf so it would make it back home. BREAD UPDATE: I thought I had asked for a regular sourdough loaf but it was a rye/sourdough loaf. I liked the taste of it but hubby was not a fan. read more

This is the second time I have been to this coffee shop in the heart of Solvang! The coffee shop interior is super cute with the decor. Limited seating can be found inside at tables or in a small lounge area. There is also a small patio area out front too for seating! I would love to give this place five stars but I did not quite have the best relaxing experience at this coffee shop- mind you it was a Sunday and St. Patrick's Day in a touristy town! Around 11am, I stopped in for a supposedly quick drink to go. In front of me was approximately three customers ordering. The process was very slow as customers did not know what they wanted to drink- as the full menu is not posted on the wall- there was a small printed menu on the counter by the place where you ordered so everybody would take time to review and order their drinks. In addition the cashier's knowledge of drinks was limited- when I inquired about drinks, the cashier could not provide me information on the shops products. When you are paying significant amount of money for a coffee drink, the employees should know about their products. After finally ordering, I waited 15-20 minutes for my drink. In total for one drink, I was at the shop for longer than 20 minutes from entering the store. This is too long for a drink. read more

Good coffee! I found it a little pricey at ~$7.50 for a large latte, but the town of Solvang has the typical tourist up-charges so it's not a surprise. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with their online ordering process. I placed an order online to be able to get in and out as quickly as possible due to a time crunch. The online ordering platform stated it would be ready in 15 minutes, but when I arrived the staff said they wait to make it fresh. This is understandable, but I would've gone in and let them know I was there if I'd known this was the policy versus waiting for my expected completion time by walking around the town. read more

They were both incredible and got my order out pretty quickly considering how crowded it was. The vibes were super duper cute. If I lived in solvang, I would definitely frequent this spot. The baristas are super friendly and helpful with recommendations and they have a small but quality selection of pastries. I visited solvang this weekend and did some research for a good latte and this place came up as having high quality espresso. Unfortunately it did not meet high quality standards they claim for. Ordered a nonfat latte and almond latte and it wasn't made with espresso as it should be as you can taste coffee grounds. It was terrible went straight to the trash! Waste of $14!!! read more

This is one of our regular coffee shop stops when in Solvang. They have vegan options for milk and baked goods as well. We got hot chocolate with vegan chocolate, their mocha and their zucchini chocolate bread and it was delicious. We ended up getting a second order! We traveled to Solvang, CA, and stumbled across Good Seed Coffee Roasters during our hunt for some coffee. The location felt like entering a small town's local coffee shop. They had lots of customers that were either tourists or locals. Solvang had other coffee locations around, but this place received our attention. The coffee shop had a cabin look, which was definitely something we've never seen. There were so many wooden accents and dim lighting to make the ambiance dark. We ordered an iced Chai Latte with oat milk. The drink was heavy on the spices, but not unbearably so. However, the initial sips were a bit surprising, but eventually the water from the ice tamed the spices once it started to melt. The drink became subtle and balanced, tasting smooth and silky from the oat milk and water. We also ordered their iced Vanilla Latte with oat milk. The barista recommended this drink to be one of their most popular. The taste of the coffee (Guatemalan Beans) was rich and the vanilla added a strong sweetness to the drink. Just like the chai latte, once the ice melted, the drink started to neutralize a bit. We weren't sure if their initial tastes were intentional, knowing that the ice would eventually balance it out. This drink would definitely satisfy sweet coffee drinkers. Solvang, CA added a special touch to the coffee shop in terms of location and ambiance. They most likely receive plenty of tourists. They also had a variety of pastries, but unfortunately didn't try them. Their superfood lattes are so unique so I had to try one of them. I got the Turmeric and Ceylon which also comes with cinnamon, ginger, vanilla bean, and other spices. I truthfully couldn't taste any of the spices except cinnamon, which I love, so it was good but nothing too special. My friend said that the Maple Latte was really good so I would recommend that one if you stop by. The worker was really kind and knowledgeable about the menu so if you're having any hesitation don't be afraid to ask! Theirs a lot of seating indoors if you're needing a break or a place to relax. If you want to enjoy the nice weather outside, the park has a lot of seating and it's in the center of town too. read more

Absolutely loved this cute little coffee shop. The employees that were working were super friendly. I had never been in before. I knew I wanted some sort of iced coffee with sweetness to it. Asked what they recommended and they said that a vanilla latte iced would be good and they were right it was great. If you are not super familiar With coffee or what to order definitely ask. The menu posted on the wall doesn't have a whole lot of detail to it so if you know what you like, or even if you don't talk to them about it, and they will find something just for you They have some great merch and coffee accessories you could buy. There were these really cool insulated beverage holders that I loved. The colors were beautiful the way it worked was really awesome and completely unique to anything I had seen before. I would've bought him one except I wanted something larger And it turns out the company does not offer anything larger so I might just have to go back and buy the version. My husband and I stopped by this cute little coffee shop while visiting Solvang, and it was such a nice stop! He got a cappuccino with vanilla, and I tried the turmeric superfood latte. The cappuccino was perfectly made, and my latte was really good--pretty spicy, I'm guessing from the ginger, but still super tasty. Hands-down, the best local artisanal coffee shop in this charming town. Very rustic homey vibe. No restrooms in this coffee shop. But if you go behind the building through the double doors, there is a men's and women's restroom for public to use.
