One of several outdoor seating areas, plenty of both shade and sun!

Great food for a great cause. All the profits go to meals on wheels. The staff is very friendly, and the vibe is very laid back.

Came back to visit the church where my wife and I renewed our vowels and to our surprise they opened a coffee shop. Everyone here is super friendly! They're open 7:30am to 2pm Monday thru Friday. We met Barbara the manager and also Connie but it's her last day here :( They're both super sweet!!! We got the Vanilla Latte that was amazing when paired w chocolate cake or anything sweet and also the sun dried tomato quiche. The quiche was so good!!! They also have free WiFi available!!! We will definitely return next time we are in town!!! PS the proceeds goes to Meal on Wheels for seniors. Such a great cause!!! Come out and support :)

Fresh made croissant. Crispy, flaky and warm like it should be... wow!!!

One of the best hidden gems in the area. My wife's iced caramel and my orange freeze were the best If not the best iced coffee and smoothie we've had in a long time. Service was great, and the lady who helped us was so nice... it was a nice place to sit and relax. So clean, and calm to sit and have a coffee with loved ones.. they even have a library... we've been coming to Solvang/Buellton for years and never stopped here before. Glad we did today. The croissant was fresh made and again the best we've had in along time. Just amazing!! Here's the kicker it's lo located in a Presbyterian church... so don't just drive by thinking there's only a church here. Stop and read lol...We will be back again... can't wait..

The pastrami smoked salmon sandwich does not actually have pastrami but the pastrami spices are present in each bite of the smoked salmon. It worked so well, I wish I didn't have to share but with so much good food, unless my stomach is bigger, sharing allowed me to try more things. I was so happy that we had an option to have a cup of butternut squash soup with that sandwich making it the perfect soup and sandwich combo. The shaved Brussel Sprouts salad is so addictive that I couldn't stop eating it and was a great way to get more veggies in our diet. Even though I over ordered to try everything I wanted, shaved Brussels Sprouts salad, halibut tacos and pastrami smoked salmon sandwich with a cup of butternut squash soup, I regretted not coming back for dinner to have it all over again.

I kept coming across peasants FEAST and knew my family and I had to add it to our list. They were Michelin recognized in 2024! We decided to check them out for lunch on a Saturday, we showed up right when they opened and got a nice seat outside on their patio. The restaurant slowly started filling up more and more after we got there so glad we arrived when we did! They do not take reservations so it is first come, first served. We ordered the Kids Orecchiette with Butter, Lil McFeast Burger and the Solvang Hot Chicken. We got some drinks on the side as well including the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade which my daughter was obsessed with. I really enjoyed the food - it was fresh and well seasoned throughout. I asked for less spice on my Hot Chicken, but it was still spicy and tasty! Overall, it was a good meal, not my favorite of the trip, but still worth checking out for sure! Service was also spot on and she gave great recommendations! We would definitely give them another shot next time we're in Solvang! I really want to check out the Pastrami Smoked Salmon Sandwich and the Nannie's Frozen Lime Pie next time! Check them out!

The dining area has a great combination of classic American diner and Solvang ambiance that really lives up to the town vibes, and since Solvang was built up in its current form as a "Danish town" in the 1960s, that seems pretty accurate. This is pretty much a go-to stop for me when I'm in the area. Although there is usually a wait, the service is pretty quick. If you don't want to wait they have a convenient takeout window. Plus you can buy an aebelskiver pan and mix here! (Pick up some of the Bestemor's Raspberry Jam while you're there and you also won't regret it)

I had the danish sausage with eggs and hash browns, it was exceptional. My son had the eggs with pancakes and bacon and he actually ate everything on his plate which never happens. My wife was also very happy with her California eggs Benedict. The ambience is very cozy and the lighting keeps things calm. My coffee was kept full and our waters were always refilled, we were checked in on periodically to make sure everything was ok. I should also add that we had the Abelskeevrrs with ice cream and it was almost a whole meal by itself. If you are in the area this restaurant is a must try, and I can confidently say after eating at the others in the area that this is the best one. - Mr.Narrwahl

Today was a perfectly slow day that we found ourselves the only customers in the late afternoon. We were able to take our time browsing every shelf and display. The gingerbread houses were amazing. I found myself going back to them until finally giving in to buying a couple to share with family. The type and shape of the buttercookies is slightly different in each box. The girls working there were attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving despite how busy the place was. Before coming in, we read all the reviews about the chilaquiles, and since that's one of my all-time favorite breakfast dishes, I came in with high expectations. I ordered the chilaquiles half-and-half style with both red and green sauce plus chorizo... and they delivered! Both sauces were seriously good. By the end of the meal, I think the green sauce barely won me over, but honestly it was a tough decision because both were delicious. And don't sleep on the waffles either those were amazing too!

What really disappointed us was an interaction with one staff member regarding seating. We understand the policy about not saving tables, and normally that would be completely fine. However, we were next in line to order, there were still plenty of open tables at the time, and we were with 5 kids, a baby, and a senior citizen grandmother. While the parents were ordering, our grandma sat down with the children thinking it would be okay since we had already waited so long and were about to order. Unfortunately, a staff member came over yelling at us and aggressively shooing us away from the table. The way she spoke to our grandmother felt extremely rude and unnecessary. A little kindness and consideration would have gone a long way, especially with children and elderly family members involved. I don't want to make assumptions or turn this into a bigger issue, but the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was disappointing because the food itself was genuinely very good. Hopefully management can address how situations like this are handled in the future, because no customer should feel disrespected while dining with their family.

The food feels thoughtful without trying too hard, and every dish had so much flavor packed into it. The Crispy Pork Belly Sandwich was the standout for me. The gochujang Coca Cola glaze gave it that perfect sweet and savory balance, while the snap pea slaw added freshness and crunch. And somehow the brown butter cashew butter tied everything together in the best way possible. The Wagyu Pastrami Sandwich was just as memorable, rich, juicy, and super satisfying. The Swiss cheese, horseradish cream, sauerkraut aioli, and beef jus all worked so well together without overpowering the wagyu. We also ordered the strawberry lemonade and lavender lemonade, which were both super refreshing and perfect for brunch. And to end the meal, the sticky toffee pudding was absolutely exquisite. Warm, soft, rich, and easily one of the best desserts I've had in a while. I would honestly suggest not sharing it lol. Definitely one of those brunch spots where you leave already thinking about your next visit.

Coast Range seemed to check all the boxes, and they had an available reservation on the patio. We got (for us) the perfect table, which was a small area next to the entrance. Actually only our table, which was great for containing our puppy, plus a heat lamp and service over the pony wall which worked out great! We started with delicious cold, crisp martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives and a bowl of water for our pup. Our server (Chelsea B?) was so fun and friendly! We then had maybe the best wedge salad we've ever had! I think the lettuce was cut to, but not thru, the base, and opened up, with toppings inside. Roasted beet cubes, bacon, blue cheese and shallots, plus cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg quarters and fried shallots garnish. It was incredible. I think they should call it "More than a Wedge." We also had the Ahi crudo, which had a delicious sauce and thinly sliced peppers. I wasn't too hungry, so had the French onion soup as my main course. So, it definitely didn't taste anything like French onion soup! It looked like it, and it was definitely cooked down onions but the flavor wasn't anything like I'd expect. However, it was really delicious and satisfied my craving for something warm & cheesy. So if you go in knowing that, I think you'll enjoy it. I don't like lamb, so my husband often gets it when we go out. When he took his first bite, I could tell he enjoyed it. He said it was some of the best lamb he's had and he's had a lot! It's à la carte, but did come with a tiny bit of salad and a roasted pepper which he thought was perfect. Since I was having the soup we didn't order a vegetable side, which we normally would, but this vegetable garnish worked perfectly for him. Definitely recommended!
