I really wanted to love this place -- I drove over an hour and a half just to try it. Their website said the kitchen closes at 3 PM, with the traffic and everything we got there at 2:40. But when we arrived, the kitchen had already closed early. On a Saturday?! We even tried calling ahead to confirm, but no one answered. When I asked why they closed early, the response was vague -- no apology, just that they had decided to close. If you can't handle staying open until your posted time, maybe it's time to update your hours to reflect that. It's not fair to customers who make the effort to come based on what you advertise. To top it off, I went to order a pastry instead, and there was a fly in the pastry case. That was the final straw -- it really showed a lack of attention to detail and care. The customer service just wasn't there, and it felt like my time and effort didn't matter. We had visited this spot previously when it was Commodity Coffee and did not like it. This time around as Good Time, it was like a night and day difference. This place is really good and I would recommend it to my friends now. I got the breakfast burrito and I loved it! It was smaller than I was used to, but I could not have eaten any more because it was very rich and good. There were potatoes, cheese, eggs, yolk, and a hot salsa. All of it blended together into such a great burrito experience. I got a drip coffee and my wife got an iced latte with almond milk. Both were solid and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Again, totally different experience than before and I look forward to going back. Not that they can control this, but the parking is rough. Try and get lucky parallel parking on the street. This coffee shop is pretty nice. In regard to ambiance the vibes are great. They get pretty full but there are plenty of tables and outlets. We got the ice matcha and chorizo burrito. The matcha was fire for sure but the burrito was lacking chorizo. It had way too much potato but if you don't mind removing some as you go the taste isn't bad at all. They also have a lot of dogs in the shop and we saw a few baristas greet them. I love love dogs but as someone who is allergic I don't really love that the people making the drinks and food were going out to say hello to them. read more

Came here on a Wednesday around 9:40am. No wait to order enough seating many people were on their laptops. Free wifi and water cup station. Parking in the rear. Service was friendly and quick. We ordered the ice americano it was nice and bitter, vanilla iced coffee latte was sweet and good. Burritos was a big size I added chorizo which was flavorful. I've been coming to Good Time at least 3 times a week for the past 3 months now. So this review is long overdue! To start off, they have hands down one of the best breakfast burritos I've had. Their coffee is also really good. Having worked in cafes most of my young adult life, you can tell that the staff/management really care about the craft. This is evident in the types of drinks on their seasonal menus, the type of beans they use, and the knowledge the staff has. No complaints about the staff, they're all super nice and helpful. As far as the location, they have tons of seating, outlets, and parking. This is definitely one of the community hangout spots in the area and always has a warm and welcoming environment. From the outside you'll never know how "deep" this interior extends! The place is rumbling with energy! Went around 12:30p to pick my friend up and the place was just simply bubbling with energy! The second best thing at a kids birthday party besides alcohol is coffee. With neither one available my friend and I took a party break and walked over to Good Times from the park. Very beautiful location, with a striking facade. Love the bold hand painted sign out front. I ordered a latte nothing crazy and waited by all the merch, shopped with my eyes and gossiped about life. I have always had a positive experience ordering their drinks, they are always great. I've ordered food here but it's when Hamburgers Nice is dishing out their breakfast burgers and sandwiches. Excellent stuff! Today, however, was definitely not a positive experience with the food. We waited quite a bit for 2 breakfast burritos and upon unwrapping mine I could feel how crispy the contents were. Not surprising, the inside of the breakfast burrito was full of burnt, inedible potatoes. It was a busy morning and my group already felt the wait was longer than expected. My sister and I hesitated to complain or send them back because it was a busy Sunday. The quality of the burrito was something that anyone in the kitchen should've looked at and said "we can't send this out." I ate what was edible, which was the egg and tortilla. Some serious quality control needs to happen so that others don't experience the total disappointment that was this breakfast burrito. I'd say it was an honest mistake If at least one of them were edible. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, 2/2 were awful. $40+ total for two matchas and 2 burritos that were difficult to eat. 3 stars because the two seasonal matchas we ordered, honeydew and strawberry basil matcha were great. read more

This. Place. Is. Amazing. My cousin and I wanted to hang with our new friends before their flight and found this place just 10 minutes from the Long Beach cruise port. Upon arrival, staff were so inviting and helpful with the menu and drinks. We opted for the chorizo burritos x 2 and bacon burritos x 2. Our drinks were chai tea, black tea and green tea. Water is available as self serve from a filtered cooler dispenser. While we were waiting for our order we were looking around the area where there are succulents displayed. We didn't take advantage of their WiFi but know it's there. It's a very spacious and open area. The colors are neutral with pops of yellow and of course the succulents. I had the bacon burrito. Now, I've had many breakfast burritos in my life and I'm happy to say....It was pretty good. The burrito came fresh and Hot off the grill. It was pretty hefty and loaded with bacon-wich was nicely chopped...I mean, I really don't like a bacon that I have to pull with my teeth and have it hang from my mouth so I appreciated it was chopped. It had potatoes that were bite sized, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bacon, eggs and cheese combined well and each bite was a perfect bite. I eat ketchup with everything I just love the stuff but you don't need it on this. After our meal we went to wash up and noticed a free library in wich you're able to leave or take books or food. We thought that was cool. I mean, the way it was displayed, was.....discreet but also welcoming. They also have a place where you can donate clothing items. I got the breakfast burrito just the way it is without any other additions. It was good, but super loaded with potatoes. Decided to try one of their seasonal summer drinks, the piñacolatte (base of coconut & oat milk, pineapple syrup, and espresso) and WOW - one of the best lattes I've had in a while. Perfect ratio of milk to espresso + the hint of pineapple combo worked so surprisingly well! It literally tasted like a piñcolada with coffee, so it was pretty refreshing. The only thing I would change about this place is the one barista that yells names really loud over and over and over till someone picks up their drink. The atmosphere was a vibe - there's plenty of seating and various plants and merch you can buy to support. We ended up going with a fall drink - Monster matcha and it was delicious. Not too sweet, and had the perfect amount of matcha and cookies and cream ratio. We also got breakfast burritos which had a good ratio of everything.
