Come to watch sports and drink beer, not to eat with any expectations. They Jamaican jerk burger tasted NOTHING like Jamaican jerk. The smash burger was not a smash burger by definition. SO MUCH (too much) cheese on both. The patties are so small. The buns are stiff and flat. The ribs and wings had so much sauce on them, we had to scrape most of it off. Good beer options and lots of TVs inside.

Nicky Rottens Bar & Burger Joint in Coronado is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for great food, cold beer, and an unbeatable view. Located right on Orange Avenue, this lively sports bar offers a casual and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a laid-back meal or catching a game with friends. The place has a fun, upbeat vibe, with TVs everywhere playing sports, making it a great hangout spot. The staff is friendly and efficient, even when the place gets busy. The beer selection is solid, featuring a mix of local craft brews and popular favorites. The Bac-Avo Burger is another standout, featuring a perfectly cooked patty with crispy bacon and avocado. The portions are generous, and the fries are the perfect side. Fish n chips was another hit. I love the lightly battered fish and crispy fries. I advise you get there early to find parking or you can take the ferry from Downtown San Diego. Whether you're here for a burger, a few drinks, or just to soak in the atmosphere, you won't be disappointed. My hubby and I will be returning and this time for their happy hour Thank you!!!!

Great spot in Coronado for a little hair of the dog after a busy night out in San Diego. My Michelada here was pretty tasty. I love that they use the cutwater Bloody Mary mix. It's so good!

Solid spot for a quick lunch in Coronado. It was easy for 7 of us to get in on a Saturday. Great drink and food menu. We started off with fried pickles, most of us got the Burger with Avocado, my brother did a BYO with bacon and an egg, and we also tried the fried shrimp plate. Will be coming back here when we come to Coronado again!

Great spot to grab a couple drinks with friends and have a nice view of the city. I ordered the Bad A** Chicken Sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. The sandwich was delicious. The serving size was huge. I ordered a margarita and that was also good. The first one was a lot better than the second. The second was a little more on the margarita mix side. The dining area is pretty big. Lots of seating. They also have a ton to TVs so multiple Games on at the same time. Service was good. Street Parking or there was a public lot a block down.

This was taken after I asked them to cook the steak more.

Our visit to Nicky Rottens was a huge bummer. I ordered the nachos because they looked so good on here and the reviews were awesome. When they came out it looked nothing like the pictures. The steak was really undercooked and looked like it had been sitting out a while. It was in big slices too so I had to ask for a plate so I could cut it up. I asked them to cook the steak more and they did. There was no sour cream or guacamole on the nachos. When I asked for it on the side they said they don't even have sour cream. The queso and salsa that it came with left the chips really soggy and watery. They were not good at all. My husband ordered a cob salad and added chicken for $8. When it came out it was almost half the size of what they used to serve. It was a $30 salad after adding the chicken. When we asked why all the food was different, they said they changed the menu 3 weeks ago to cut down on food waste. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because my daughter liked her chicken tenders and the service was fine. Our dinner ended up costing over $100 after tip. We didn't even get any drinks besides water or desserts. Such a waste of money. I would not go back here again.

Came with the family and got wings, burgers, and salads! Best burgers in town! Love how soft the burger buns are and everything tasted so good! We come every time we are on this side of the bridge! Loud ambience and big groups of people, a fun time! Highly recommend the wings, do half buffalo-half bbq sauce best wings here! And not usually a bbq wing fan but their bbq sauce is too good to pass up!

I came to Nicky Rottens and ordered the Mai Tai along with the smash burger and tater tots -- and wow, everything was on point! The smash burger was sooo freakin' good -- super juicy with perfectly melted cheese. The tater tots were crispy and cooked to perfection. And the Mai Tai? Perfectly balanced, just the right amount of alcohol, a little sweet, and honestly one of my favorites I've had. I loved everything. Definitely a 10/10 experience! Customer service was top notch!!!

Helpful and friendly service for our very large party. We had appetizers and drinks and one person ordered food The fries were so good! They tasted battered. Sports bar meets ocean cafe, albeit very large. Reasonable prices for Coronado too.

Came in for the first time. Wasn't too busy and we did enjoy the food. Our waitress was friendly and the portions were pretty large. Price was on the high side but expected considering the area. Unfortunately my CC was not returned to me, and I left shorty after. When I realized it was not returned I called them and they said yes they have it. Great I thought. Advised I would be in the next morning to pick it up. Now the bad part. They lost my card! Waited as they searched for it but no luck. They explained that they always keep them in a box but magically mi e was gone. Will not retuen!!!

The service was great, staff were very friendly. The place is nice, love the views from all around. Loved that they open early even on a Sunday. The sampler platter we tried was good but the boneless wings weren't the best quality. Everything else was great though, absolutely loved the experience.

After a day of walking and waiting in those long lines, we decided to grab some cocktails and chose to enjoy some cocktails inspired by the Comic-Con theme. It was excellent; we had my wife's brother with us, so he took the kids to the park next door. We asked the waiter to seat us outside so we could see the kids playing in the stadium park, which is located next door. This restaurant is located right next to it, and their outside patio sees the stage and playground the kids can play on. We had some cocktails and played some board games at our table while the kids enjoyed the day running around burning their energy. Staff was nice and accommodating, and they checked on us often even when we did not order food but mostly had drinks. It was a good time, and we will enjoy coming back next time we're in San Diego.

My friend wanted to go back after the concert where we sat at the main bar. This time it was a female bartender who again was right on top of her stuff. She got our drinks right away. The servers were attentive and checked in on us frequently. The food is typical American bar fare. Smash burgers and sandwiches were popular choices. I opted for the poke bowl, which was reasonably priced. However, I might go for the poke nachos next time. The poke bowl had a lot of onions, and the sauce was a bit teriyaki-like. My friends enjoyed the burgers, smash burgers, and French fries. The portion sizes were perfect for individual servings. They have a kid's menu on the kids' coloring page, and they provide crayons for the kids. I also tried their kombuchas, which are around ABV 6%. I tried the dragon fruit kombucha, which had an amazing pink-purple color and smelled like dragon fruit. It wasn't overly sweet and had low carbonation. I recommend asking the servers for recommendations to suit your taste. The indoor space is cooler and spacious, making it great for gatherings. There were many family and friend gatherings here. You can grab a drink and let the kids run around. I also appreciate that they accept reservations on OpenTable, which is perfect for planning large group gatherings. They have a happy hour from 12 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, which I'll definitely check out. There's plenty of parking at the Mission Valley Mall.
