The lone waitress was sweet as hell and running her ass off all day. She still kept up with the massive crowd and our party had a great time. We stopped in to watch the Knicks - Cavs Eastern Conference Finals game & sat at the bar. Dirty Birds is spacious & bright, and they have a great atmosphere. The game went not-so-well for me as Cavs fan, but the Cauliflower wings were tasty with the buffalo sauce & ranch. M. enjoyed his wings quite a bit & not a morsel of meat was left on any of the bones. Dirty Birds is a great place to watch a game, grab a bite & relax in a fun and friendly environment. I do enjoy this spot, but I always gotta prepare myself to visit. The parking-it's tough to find a free spot that you won't feel like your vehicle won't get broken into. (it's OB) The food-the wings are big, the sauces are great and there are plenty of options. The value-the wings may be tasty, but you gotta be high to pay over $2\wing. The only time to come here is during happy hour. From 3 to 6 they have half off wings and every Wednesday is half off boneless wings all day. The atmosphere-I'm not quite sure what it is about wing joints that seems to attract the same stereotypical clientele, but you will find the same sad single men at the bar as you would at a Buffalo Wild Wings during happy hour. We've known him for a while now and he is totally cool and an excellent barkeep. So, wings are their thing, right? Dirty Birds is famous for their wings, and for good reason. They are phenomenal. That said, I went in a different direction and ordered the Dirty Shrimp Tacos. (Choice of grilled/fried shrimp, cabbage, Pico de Gallo, shredded cheese blend, dirty ranch drizzle on warm flour tortillas). I chose grilled. Perfectly grilled shrimp. The dirty ranch drizzle, believe it or not, set them off! I'd love it if they offered a quality corn tortilla. We did also g et a 5-piece wing, I mean, you can't not get wings at DB. The Mango Habanero was our sauce of choice. (A glaze of sweet mango, chipotle and spicy habanero chili). The perfect blend of sweet, with a great heat and the smokiness of the chipotle. Update: they were very accommodating and have informed me the buy one get one free Wing is coming back. Also it is a part of the liquor license where they don't have half price pictures but they have a decent deal on single beers but I do still think this should be more obvious on the menu I've been going to dirty birds since the first month they opened in PB And probably have spent thousands of dollars at all of their locations. They have some of the best wings in the country but they used to be affordable. During happy hour they now charge $30 for a pitcher of beer, and their wings or buy one get one half off which brings the price to $1.50 per wing. So for 10 wings and a pitcher which you split with someone else, you were going to spend over $50. It is no longer worth ever going to dirty birds. read more

Super bad experience! We arrived and the host told us they can seat us right away, but we waited for 10 plus minutes. We asked if we could just sit at the patio, and she said yes, there are empty seats out there from when we got there. And then we waited 20 minutes and no water, no one asked what we wanted to order. Finally there's a waiter came to take our order, we asked to go because we had a baby with us! During the waiting, no water, and no waiters come by, we waited almost half an hour to get our food. I got to try Mango Habanera, Fireball, Bangkock BBQ and Garlic Parm. The fireball was pretty unique but a bit too sweet for me and extremely sticky. No regrets trying them though. We also ordered some fries with salt and vinegar spices. The fries are breaded so not your typical fries, they were ok to me but I think my wife liked them. This place has some of the best chicken wings I have ever had, we came in when it was happy hour and ordered a large amount of wings, and a basket of well seasoned salt and vinegar fries. For the wings we tried Mango Habanero, Fireball, Bangkok BBQ, and Garlic Parmesan. They were all very good, the Mango Habanero was not spicy at all, but my favorite was the Fireball, it tasted like cinnamon maple syrup. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and they offer a large selection of sauces. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere at Dirty Birds is casual and relaxed, and it's an easy walk to the beach. The staff is friendly and attentive, I can't wait to come back and try more of their sauces. read more

There was a bone-in wing special so I ordered the Seoul Wings which were tasty. I also ordered the friend shrimp basket (and I do NOT recommend that to anyone). The breading was falling off of the shrimp. If you want good seafood there's a fish market/bar/restaurant down the street on Santa Monica Ave. Otherwise, I highly recommend Dirty Birds for drinks, cheap eats and good vibes. I asked for the barbecue sauce to be placed on the side. I tried the sauce once my food arrived and wasn't a fan of it. The burger was bland so I used honey mustard sauce to dip it in before biting. We were craving some happy hour wings and of course we had to come to Dirty Birds in Ocean Beach. This has been our go-to Dirty Birds out of all their locations. We came on a Thursday around 3 pm (happy hour M-F 3-6pm) and received awesome customer service. It wasn't busy and we decided to sit at the bar. My FAVORITE is the 'apple bourbon chipotle flavor'. Hopefully they release it in a bottle sometime soon! For this visit I decided to try a new flavor which as 'Ninja'. While it is good, I still prefer my go-to, apple bourbon chipotle.
