NEVER, EVER COME HERE!! You will be wasting your time and money. You would think that with this place being in the heart of downtown McLean that they would provide excellent service, but the sad truth is it's not. Here's my experience... My tire was slowly leaking air, my low tire pressure light was on, so I took my car here to see if they can find the problem and patch it up. First time they said they didn't find anything, aired up the tire, and sent me along my way. Not even 1 week later, my car light for low tire pressure came up again. I bring it back and they said they found a nail that's imbedded on the side of the tire that can't be fixed and my tire had to be replaced. Ok fine, if you missed it the first time, no big deal. They replaced my tire and I paid $100+ for it and went along my merry way. To my surprise, my low tire pressure light went on AGAIN about a week later. I thought it could be a different tire, but nope...it's the brand spanking new tire that was leaking again. WTF!? I take it back and they said they found a nail and patched it up. Guess what happens a week later! DING DING DING! You got it! The light came on again! At that point I was like screw it, I took my car to another location and they found 2 screws in the tire and patched it up. Now I don't have any issues with that brand new tire. This is a crooked place who will scam and lie to you. They do absolutely nothing but take your money. They try and say crap like "oh we service the McLean police cars, we are an honest company" Good for you, of course you will do top notch service of police cars, but for everyone else, you just rip them off! Another thing to note, awhile back my hubs took his BMW there for oil change and tire rotation, they will do the oil change, but never rotate the tires. They are the worst. Seriously though, never come here unless you want to spend a lot of time returning to this place and paying for half the service. read more

My only complaint is with the manager, Henry S. I used to go to this location because I had a friend who worked there and he gave me fantastic service so I gave him my business. I kept going because I had purchased 3 sets of tires there and had some work done on a previous car. Henry clearly does not like customers, and I've seen him treat many others the same way so it's not just me. I get the impression that he thinks people are looking for a handout, or that they feel entitled to something like a cheaper price on something. Sometimes all we want is an answer to our question. My wife's complaints are with everyone she's dealt with (today). She had to go in today to pick up a tire I had mounted after our teenage son had a blowout on a curb. Never "ma'am, may I help you" or even a "yes". She went to the counter and told them what she was looking for and still no acknowledgement. Just went looking for the tire and brought it back. I'm old-fashioned. I'll spend an extra $25 on great service any day of the week. This place is 7 miles away and there are several places that are closer. All they want is your money. They couldn't be less concerned with repeat business. So... Never again. read more

I bought a used car with bad rear tires, and I needed to get them replaced asap. I couldn't find any tire shops that had my size in stock, until I called this Goodyear. I drove by around 3:30pm and was out by 4:00pm. The staff at this company-owned Goodyear were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave me some good advice about things I needed to do with my car, but did not try to push me to buy additional services or items. I enjoyed talking with people who seemed to know what they're doing, and cared about their customers. The store is also very large and clean. Their prices were reasonable too. I hope I won't need to use their services very much, but if I need any work done, I'll refer to these guys first. read more

My AC doesn't blow cooler air. After almost one hour, they said they recharge the refrigerant but AC still doesn't work. They give me 2 choices. First one is bring the car back tomorrow and leave for one day check.the second one is that pay for what they did so far and go to dealer.However, they said if the computer system is broken they can't fix that! So I decide to go to dealer. To my surprised, they charged me $213 for this zero contribution! I was very angry and hoped nobody will go there! read more

Make this your "Go-To" Auto Shop!!! In 42 years of driving, this is by far the best Customer Service I've ever received! My car hit a massive pot hole in DC. It seriously damaged the LF tire and badly knocked the car out of alignment. They were sensitive to my frustration with the pot hole encounter, going above and beyond in treating me with the upmost respect and kindness. They extended great patience and understanding in my situation as they took superb care of my car. The tire had to be special ordered and they orchestrated and took outstanding care of everything from start to finish. The Manager is awesome! The best Auto Shop Manager I've ever seen! This place is great! I had never been here before, but I needed a place to get a tire leak repaired. My tires were not under warranty anywhere either so I didn't have the option of getting them repaired for free from where I purchased them. I dropped my car off in the morning without any appointment. They called about two hours later to let me know it was ready to be picked up. They check me out after having repaired the tire and rotating my tires as well. Then they don't even charge me either. read more

I caught a flat visiting friends down in VA. Looked for a corporate good year location and stumbled upon this one in McLean. I'm so glad I did. Was able to get a lot of service done on my vehicle and they even found that the cause of the flat was my right rear control arm being bent. I got a great deal in fixing everything and realigning my vehicle. Both managers Henry and Eddie did an amazing job getting me back on the road. So, never saw myself writing a review on a tire place but here we are. I've been to Goodyear twice, both for flat tires. Both times Goodyear fixed my tires completely free of charge. Did they have to? no.....they could have easily told me that my tires were beyond repair. But they didn't. They were honest, fair, and were able to fix issues on my current tires without selling me into new ones. How amazing is that? Thanks to Goodyear for doing the right thing. Absolutely awful experience today. I made an appointment 3 days in advance and ordered the tires online. My appointment was at 11:00 am. With an appointment, my car was not complete until 3 pm, and the only thing done was tire mounting and balancing. If you do the math it takes a tire shop an HOUR per wheel to change a tire. AAA does it ok the side of a road in minutes. I could not understand. In addition, after the four hours were done they put my car down THAN asked if I wanted an alignment done, as if anyone buying new tires for 800 dollars doesn't get an alignment. Lastly, I asked to keep my old tires and they were put in my trunk with nothing underneath and now my trunk is filled my grease. I frequently checked in and saw the workers working very slowly and leisurely. An hour per wheel to get new tires when you made an appointment in ridiculous and I didn't even leave with an alignment done so now I have to go do that. Do not recommend go to NTB much better experiences there . read more

Fantastic customer service! I needed two tires replaced - called earlier in the week and received a quote and was able to book an appointment no problem. Every other place I called transferred me all around and were unhelpful. Apparently the person who put my front tires on screwed that up and I thought I'd need to get a new bearing...the manager kept me up to date on all the issues and costs associated and worked hard to make sure I didn't over pay for anything I didn't need. It took about 4 hours all said and done but I know the team was doing everything possible to make sure my car would be good to go and I'd be safe on the road. I commute into the area every day for an hour and a half drive; so I was far from home. I got ran off the road by a Trucker and ran into the curb; busted two of my tires out. Goodyear was nearby and helped me out with two tires, rotation and balancing included. Very nice service!!!! They also had tables/chairs where I could do my work, while being serviced. Even had outlets to plug into if need be. read more

If I could give a 0.....I would! Made an appointment with tires that said were available online. Go to the appointment, take tires off without double checking inventory, they don't have them in stock due to computer error. Low and behold, take car to another dealership and they say I don't even need new tires!! So Goodyear took my tires off, we're planning on replacing tires that were fine, to probably re-sell them and make a buck! Avoid this place! Go elsewhere! read more

I really do hope that the phone calls in this store were being recorded so they can hear how he answers and how he treats me as a customer! he's very rude and he's disrespectful! Also very condescending! I hope someone from the HR contacts me! because whatever Kevin did is not very professional at all! He shouldn't be answering phone calls at all. If you don't like your job, just quit! if you don't want to answer phone calls and you're lazy to answer questions, then just don't answer the phone! if you don't have the system to check, then just say it nicely! You don't have to be so rude about it! I work for a Goodyear store, but we don't offer the services that I was trying to book. So, I'm already familiar with the In's and Out's of it. Friendly staff, but best turned to for very simple maintenance items. Service advisors, especially Kevin, are not very knowledgeable. Ask a question about your car and there's not much to what they can tell you. Very few COVID precautions are in place here. One service advisor (Kevin) never wears a mask while another who tells customers how he thinks he once had the virus but has recovered, improperly wears a paper mask below his nose. There seems to be no precautions taken in customer vehicles such as by covering steering wheels with plastic etc. read more

I was on my way to work when the dreaded low tire pressure signal appeared on my dashboard. I headed here and they insisted it was the cold weather deflating my tires. While I suspected this was a possibility I wasn't convinced but they insisted... and they were right. They then filled up my tires for free! Can't ask for much more than that. read more

These guys are great! I drive out from DC to come to them because they never try to sell me services or parts that I don't need. And when I ask if I need something they give me an honest answer rather than just trying to sell me on the additional service. The staff is very friendly and communicative. The waiting area and restroom are clean and there is free WiFi and coffee and plenty of seating and outlets. They are trustworthy and have made me a loyal customer! read more

Worse than lame. I made an appointment for an oil change (not, you know, an organ transplant) and was given the start time of 10:30 and told it would be ready by 12:30. So, I went to get the car at 2 pm and it wasn't ready! That is stupid. Then, they said it'd be ready in 45 minutes. Funny. It was still sitting in the parking lot where I left it. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! Had timing belt and the water pump replaced as preventative maintenance, not because of any issues, in 2014 at a cost of about $1200. Have put less than 20000 miles on car since then and water pump has completely failed. They use the cheapest parts they can get their hands on... the only fix is to replace both again. read more

A tire shop that cannot fix a tire but happy to sell you new tires! I bought my current tires from here a few years back and occasionally get a oil change here. As typically with most shops they always have a list of repairs I need done when I only want a oil change. Typically the added repairs the quote are in the $500.00 to $1000.00 range. Took my slow leaking tire in for repair. I was told I I had a nail in the side wall and they could not be repaired and recommended I get two new tires at $230.00 each. I looked at the tire before taking it in for the repair and the nail was in the the tread approximately 1" away from the sidewall. I had them put the spare on and then got a $6.00 tire plug kit at Advance Auto fixed the tire which is now leak free and doing well. After this I will never use this shop again and recommend you stay away as the are not honest and should not be trusted. read more

Excellent service from the manager Henry. If it was just him this would be a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, the tires they placed were not balanced correctly and I had to come back. Also, you should avoid "Kevin" (works the front desk). Nice guy but it took several times for me to explain that all I needed was an oil change and tire replacement. I needed new tires so took my car to Goodyear. The customer service rep explained they did not have the tires I needed in stock. He advised I go online and order the tires from an outside vendor, have them shipped to Goodyear, then installed by Goodyear. I placed the order online then waited to hear from Goodyear that my tires were received. I never got a phone call, so I followed up and they confirmed they did now have the tires and told me I could come anytime that day to have them installed. If I had not followed up, I am not sure they would have notified me they had my tries. This in itself is mildly inconvenient and it would not have been too much of an issue except in conjunction with what happened next. Later that day, I brought my car to the Goodyear shop and arranged for a co-worker to follow me in her own car so she could drive me back to work while my car was worked on. Customer service at Goodyear informed me only then that they could not complete the installation today because they were too busy to do the alignment. They suggested I have the tires put on now and come back another time for the alignment. I already arranged a ride to and from the shop and did not easily have time to make a second trip another day. Had I known they could not accommodate me today, I would not have brought the car in. I asked if they could make an exception and squeeze me in so I didn't have to return a second time. I reminded them that no one told me this would be an issue when I was told to come in today and they responded, "well since I told you that, other people dropped their cars off". The time between when I was told to come anytime and my car would be completed and when I actually arrived was about 1/2 an hour. The customer service person then double checked with someone else (who must have been a supervisor) if it was possible to squeeze me in. This new person immediately began shouting, "It's 2:30pm! Muhmmad has to be off work at 3pm! There is no way this can be done!" The poor planning (saying the work could be done in one day when it couldn't), lack of attempt to fulfil promise to install today, and downright rudeness (customer service shouting like it was my fault they overpromised) all contribute to my one star review. I would never go here again nor recommend to other people. read more

Speedy and to the point. So far, I've only had my oil changed, but it's been less painful than I expected two times in a row. They're not pushy about other services or products. As part of your receipt you get a list of "suggested" services that you may want to consider in the near future with an estimated price including labor--which is nice so you start planning your budget ahead of time, rather than getting your car back with and, 'oh yeah...and here are some other things that came up--but we took care of them...and here's your bill" type of thing. Now if only they'd nail down the answer to "when can I get my car back?" they'll get that 5th star. read more

Not recommended I gave them several chances, but I've always had the feeling of being ripped off. The 1st time I went for a oil change and a state inspection, I received a phone call from them telling me that my car needed $1500 of repair or it wouldn't pass the inspection, something wrong with my steering wheel. I said I wanted the car back (they thought I was not going to dare driving with an expired inspection sticker, but you bet for that price!) and went to a trusted mechanic who only charged me $80 total with inspection. All it needed is oil. 2nd time, I took my own car because the oil level light was on. They charged me $95 for an oil change!, it was supposed to be 50 but of course they forgot to tell me that they were going to change the filter for an additional $45. The cherry on the cake was when they said they had to reset the oil level light with a computer and charged me $99 for it. total cost: $200 for an oil change. I will never go there again. read more

Kevin answered the phone when I made my appointment for new tires. He was very polite and promised that he would make sure everything would be well taken care of. He was correct! I did some research on tires before choosing a Goodyear tire. Kevin and Justin explained everything I had to do to get the best price and even did some of the footwork for me. This was a bit of a complicated process to me, with many details, and they patiently worked with me. The tires feel great on my car. Goodyear does offer free balancing for the life of the tires. I will be returning there for their reasonably priced oil changes and free balancing. A good experience with great customer service!! read more

I avoid chain store auto service centers wherever possible to avoid the annoying high pressure sales techniques to sell more services than you have come in for. But I have had only good experiences with this McLean Goodyear shop - and I credit the shop's service manager HENRY for this. He is polite, quick in responding to information queries, well-informed & enthusiastic about his work and his customers' needs. I've used them for tire replacements and wheel alignment. I've schedule my work so I can use their lounge while the work is being done to use their easily accessible wall charging station for plugging in my laptop. :-) My only disappointment as a coffee drinker is that even though they offer free coffee & tee, the coffee is often out. But if asked, the staff has happily made more. :-) (Then again - for those who plan ahead - Starbucks is a block away - as well as a number of good local shops.) I have used a great independent auto mechanic shop for many years - so I only look elsewhere for work my small mechanic shop doesn't do - like tires and wheel alignments. read more

Don't go here if you don't have to. I schedule an appointment for 11 AM and arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule. I sat in the waiting room and watch them take four other walking people before ever going to get my car. An hour after arriving they finally brought in my vehicle and finished it within an hour for an oil change. And then took them another 25 minutes after my car was done to return it to me because they were too busy talking about the paperwork they lost for a different vehicle and what they were going to do about lunch. So after waiting for 2 1/2 hours for a oil change I finally got my car back. They did not do the tire rotation or the brake check that was supposed to be part of the service. Also they added something to my bill saying that I needed more work done but never talk to me about it. Worst customer service ever. I almost forgot that they said they applied my coupon but when I looked at the receipt it wasn't on there read more

While I appreciate them putting 2 new tires on my car close to closing time (I showed up at 3:30 PM after a blowout and they close at 4), lying to me about how many tires I need is never good. I needed two new tires in the back and the guy told me I needed 2 in the front as well. I told them I just had those replaced in December and I proceeded to walk back in the garage. I pointed out the tread was fine and his face turned red and he just walked away. When I asked him why I needed these replaced he could not give me an answer. I hate when people try to rip me off and this guy was clearly just trying to make another $300. Their tires run great, but you can find good tires anywhere. Horrible customer service. read more

I am usually pretty satisfied with Goodyears, but this was not a good experience. First of all, I waited for 4 hours for an oil change!!! But the real reason I'll never go back there is because one of the mechanics came in and told me, "Your window won't roll up." This had never happened to me before so I was stunned and told them to fix it. I made a fuss about it and so they went back out and actually had to remove my door panel to get the window to roll back up. When I mentioned again that I had never had a problem with any of my windows, the mechanic sheepishly told me that he "might have slammed the door kind of hard." Seriously??!! The man working in the lobby was very nice and friendly, but it was overall a bad experience and I would NOT recommend. it. read more

For tires, this center delivers. I am a professional who demands good products with superior service and no hassles. They are professional, knowledgeable and without any pressure sales. They know the products, so of course, they will make recommendations. And I appreciate that too. The manager there, Henry, runs the center very well and he clearly takes pride in helping out the customer. Yes, they are more expensive than Costco but as I said, I want a good product, experience and service is most important.
