I have been passing by this restaurant for years now. Finally, I decided to give it a try and was very satisfied with my experience. I visited during lunch time and it was not busy. Service was friendly and helpful. A nice young man helped me with my ordering. He explained what's in the burrito and if I'd like to anything to my order. My food was ready timely. It was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. My burrito was very fulfilling. I couldn't finish it and I took half of it home for dinner. Burrito was so good. By far I can say it was one of the best burritos I had. I will be back for sure to eat another burrito and order their taco. This restaurant is indoor seating only. They have plenty of seats. It's clean and well maintained. They have two or three TVs and they play nice Spanish music. I enjoyed my experience in this location and I will be back for sure since I work nearby. read more

This restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall spot with authentic, handmade-style food. The inside is small, cozy, and unpretentious. There's a decent amount of seating available for dining in. They are best known for their handmade gorditas, but I have yet to try them. The service is friendly and welcoming. I've been here multiple times over the years, and I've never had a bad experience. One downside is that parking is hard to find. The restaurant is located in a shopping center that is always crowded. I usually order the pollo enchilado and the costillas enchiladas. I sometimes also get the tortillas hechas a mano (handmade tortillas). The pollo enchilado is seasoned in a reddish chili-based adobo, then grilled until slightly charred. It is smoky, tangy, juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. The spice level is about medium, it's not too spicy, but not mild either. The costillas enchiladas are pork ribs coated in the same chili-based adobo as the pollo enchilado. They are then cooked until tender and flavorful. The ribs have a rich, deep chili flavor while also being smoky, savory, fall-off-the-bone goodness. The spice level is about medium as well. Overall, if you're looking for authentic, homemade-style Mexican food with good portions and decent prices, this is the spot for you. It was slightly bland and the chorizo had a lot of fat in it. When I see that it makes me nauseous and I stop eating. This place is a hidden gem, I grew up with these kind of gorditas and I'm so glad I found this! It was my second time here, I had to bring my husband to try. There are fantastic flavors all around, starting with their cafe de olla (THE BEST) and the gorditas and the best salsa that's so spicy but you can't stop eating! My favorite is the carne de puerco en salsa roja con nopales , and my husband's favorite was the chicharrón rojo. I was driving by and I saw Gorditas from Durango and made a quick turn into the driveway. I'm so glad I did because the Gorditas are very authentic. They have Chile Pasado, Gorditas, Nopales, Chicharrón, you name it, and the masa is fresh! The lady is making them as you order. I'm honestly so disappointed. I saw this place because I wanted to try the Gordita in hopes that the reviews were deceiving but you all are right. For starters, the customer service was terrible. It's a drag for you to ask them to give you an extra sauce. I ordered a Jamaica and definitely not authentic. Your getting the Ole Jamaica. The guacamole had no lemon and no salad and the Gorditas were very plain. Chicharrón tasted old. The beans and cheese was not the best. This place looked real good online, no music though, the set up inside was unclear where to sit, where to order, no menu just a screen that changes every 10 seconds. Nonetheless I went in and just for a small Gordita is like 5 bucks which is crazy, I didn't get one because there's no way I'm paying 5 bucks for something the size of my hand and a teaspoon of meat. The guy making them was nice but the cashier lady for some reason was so snarky towards me when I was ordering. she spoke English and Spanish but for some reason was going between the two of them and when I didn't know what I wanted because their menu screen changed every 10 seconds. She was angry for no reason, then I order half a chicken and I get it fairly fast. Which was nice, but take a bite and I can tell that it was just reheated old chicken. Disgusting, i immediately got up and asked for a refund which they gave me but it was funny. When I went to ask for it my refund my charge was 10.37$ oh also they charge you 1 dollar extra if you use your card. I digress but she tried just giving me a 10$ bill. Crazy, that I had to push a bit more and tell her my actual total. She did give me a whole other 1$ back so total of 11$ refund which thanks for my trouble. The bean and cheese Gordita was good. I didn't like the meat ones. The sauce made them get soggy. So they were hard to eat, and not good.
