For my sauces, I had the standard tartar sauce and the Dijon aïoli. I would've loved to try the mango curry sauce, but they were out. The food comes, and it was a generous portion. The fish was lightly breaded, I liked the breading, and it was a very high-quality flaky fish. The chips were overall crisp on the outside, and very tender on the inside. The two sauces were great for dipping. So why three stars? The food was just way too oily! I don't know if the oil wasn't the right temperature when they fried it, , but I could definitely taste it in the food. Not only that, but you eat fish and chips with your hands. The lines get long here because it makes you feel like you are getting food from the master without having to max out your credit card. I went with the Lobster & Shrimp, with one siracha aioli sauce(great flavor, a little spicy but not overly), and 1 regular tarter(tangy) Lobster tail was nicely battered, full of great flavor and paired well with either sauce. But seriously, this little touch is chef's kiss and everything diners want. Bravo, chef. When I say this was scorching hot, I mean it was hotter than hell. This fish came directly from the fryer. We were in a rush and had to eat quickly, so we scarfed down as much as we could without setting our mouths on fire. The fish was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. I just wish they had more salt. I've watched enough Gordon Ramsay to know he always says season your fish when it comes out of the fryer and I think he would've said the same thing if he were sitting next to me in the moment! I have 4 stars due to the ambiance wise, you can sit outside the restaurant and people watch the people in the casino/hotel. We ordered the standard fish and chips meal as I would expect the flagship product for the restaurant to hold up. The fish is overly greasy and the fish itself is not good quality. The "chips" are nothing to write home about either, as basic a fry as you can get. Luckily we only ordered one meal to share, for 17.99 it was not worth it and we both felt bad after eating one shared meal. I will mention that we ate most of it, mainly out of obligation after paying for it. As I walked out I joked that I could have prepared a better meal with frozen fish and chips in my Air fryer, but it wasn't really a joke. The ambiance was fine but it wasn't as clean as it should've been considering they weren't busy. I had to wipe crumbs and tiny bits of food off our table and chairs. The fish was cooked well but I'm sorry I don't have a picture of the fish that was already cooked waiting to be ordered sitting off to the side. We ordered the fish box with truffle fries and the fishwich box with the regular fries. My favorite was the fishwich. The fish was crispy but it was sitting over the fries which then later made the fries soggy from the steam. I think charging an extra $5 for fancy fries is a little extravagant because they become a cold sloppy mess. I'd say it's a little expensive for what it is but the portions are nice. We ended up taking home the plain fries and a piece of fish as leftovers for a two person meal. It felt worth the money. This visit was the total opposite. The dining area had dirty, unbussed tables, trash around, and an overall grimy feel. There appeared to be mold around the soda machine, the glass had not been cleaned, and even the kitchen looked unsanitary from what we could see, like the work stations had been neglected for a while. The employee taking our order was very unenthusiastic and kept repeating, "is that all?" the entire time. We ended up bussing and wiping down our own table before sitting down. But if you like sweet, give it a try! We got fountain drinks and while the fact a spot in the Silver Legacy has fountain drinks is awesome - the ice machine was sad. We each got 1/4 cup of ice, and it took forever for the poor machine to work! It's also good crunchy ice, but be prepared to wait, which isn't ideal. Mom had the shrimp and chips, I had the fish and chips. The open kitchen allows you to watch the three team chef and cooks preparing everything. All were very friendly. Mom's shrimp were perfectly cooked and super tasty. My fish was overcooked. Not terrible to the point where I wanted to deal with returning it (they were very busy) - but it was a bit to crispy and tad dry. I'd try it again next time.
