This was our first time at this buffet. We were instructed that we earned a one free person meal but after looking at our bill, we did not receive the discount. I arrived at 1140. There were maybe six customers in front of me. It took 25 minutes to get seated. There had only one person checking in guests. There were 3-5 hosts waiting to get guests to their tables (I have never seen this before). Okay, let's get to the food. Birria dry and not much taste. Spanish rice was wet. Steamed clams were awful; the liquid was oily and smelled fishy. Ma Po tofu was cold and tasteless. Boiled shrimp were tiny. Orange (?) chicken was a little tough and did not have a lot of flavor. Pho was insipid. (Chinese) beef and mushroom was not tasty The only things up to the prior standard were the Smoked trout Sautéed cod Sesame ball Deserts were as expected. Service by Delphina was excellent as always. Even with 'the Monday locals discount,' the bill came to $82 for two, less tip. Given the drop in food quality, it is overpriced. I have eaten lunch at Golden Corral (in Maryland) where the food was more satisfying and cost 40% less. I won't be bringing my Reno guests here any more. So after many years of 5-star ratings, today, they get a 3-star rating.

They have a lot of items on the menu but when youre a small party of 2 or 3 it is hard to choose what to order. The grilled oysters were great but too huge. The jellyfish was also good. Place is small for a family style setting but it works. It is clean and intimate. I would give them another chance if I have a larger party or guest visiting town so we can try the larger plates and expand the variety hoping to hit their best dishes

Probably the most limited in Reno based on my experience. They don't have things like scallop, unagi, surf clam nigiri. Mussels only available as nigiri sushi not as an appetizer. Etc. Roll menu is decent, you will find something you like if you are into rolls. They are HUGE, so recommend ordering a half long roll when possible. They also have a selection of hand rolls. We got the Salmon Skin Hand Roll which was pretty mediocre as the salmon skin was overcooked, very dry and crunchy like it was a bit burnt. Fish quality it typically on par with the average AYCE place in Reno but overall a half step down from one of the most popular AYCE places just a few blocks North (Tokyo sushi) which is a madhouse during prime hours with long waits so if you can get seated quickly here the convenience of it being in the hotel may be the better choice especially if you want a nicer, special ocassion atmostphere. Service at the bar was not very good this time around. Waited 20 min for them to come get our card to pay. But generally at the bar, because you can order directly from the chef, the server doesn't have to come very often except to get dessert order or drink order. If they had a wider selection on the AYCE sushi menu and some of the texture of the fish (Salmon) was more firm and less mushy, it could be a 5-star experience.

I will say the "fish" was pretty good, but I think the oil was either old or not at the righ temperature because the resulting dish was oily and just plain soggy. While served hot, it was a doughy, soggy mess. We hoped for more but Smee's did not deliver.

Their mocktail Cucumber Herb Cooler (muddled cucumber, lime, rosemary syrup, ginger ale) is one of the best mocktails Ive ever had: refreshing and balanced!

Myself and one of my friends/coworkers had made plans the week prior to go out to eat and we settled on the new Fish and Chips restaurant. The wait time to get our food was a decent amount of time. It was open so we could see the chef's handle the food and know that it was handled properly. The cashiers were very nice, polite and friendly and repeated our order back to us to make sure that they had the right order. The food was really good. I had fish and "Dirty" chips (fries) (see picture below). Instead of the regular fries with just sea salt, this had truffle, parsley, chives and Parmesan cheese. My friend had fish and regular fries with the sea salt. She also had a Biscoff shake (see below). Which she really liked. She said that the shake reminded her of some biscoff cookies that she had when she was in England for a while. I had a lemonade, (see below) which was really good. Not too sweet or sour but almost just right. It had a nice little atmosphere to the place. And a nice little decor. The fish was a little too greasy for my taste but it was really good. The fish was really delicious, it was moist and crunchy and the same time. Which I like. All in all, if I could give more than five stars I would. . I would definitely be back to eat there again and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. read more

First time trying Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, and honestly... it did not disappoint. We ordered the 3-piece fish and chips combo with the natural sea salt fries, and the portions were HUGE. The fish was crispy, fresh, flaky, and definitely filling -- so much food that we honestly could've shared one order. The combo also included a drink, so the price point was actually really reasonable for the amount of food you get. What I also appreciated was that the food came out HOT and fresh, not like it had been sitting around waiting. Everything tasted made-to-order, and you could tell. I didn't even know Gordon Ramsay had a fish and chips spot, but it was such a cute little vibe tucked inside Caesars Silver Legacy Casino in Reno. The service was quick, the food came out fresh and hot, and everything tasted really good. They also have different styles of fries you can choose from, which was a nice touch. If you're in Reno or hanging around the casino, definitely check them out. It's worth the stop. 9/10 recommend. read more

I was so excited to finally try Gordon Ramsay's Fish & Chips, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. I'm not a big seafood person, so I went for the chicken strips and decided to upgrade to the chorizo fries. The entire meal was bland -- the chicken had no flavor, and even the sauces couldn't save it. The chorizo fries were underwhelming too, not nearly as flavorful as I expected. To be fair, the presentation was beautiful, and I absolutely loved the decor and setup -- it has a great vibe. But at the end of the day, the food just didn't deliver, especially for the price. My sister had the fish and regular fries, and she was disappointed as well. For what they charge, and with Chef Ramsay's reputation, I expected way more flavor. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Our first time here at Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen. Everything we tried was delicious. We had the Lollipop Lam chop, bread, beet salad, beef tenderloin. Chicken Milanese, Mac and cheese, and scallops. All of the dishes were cooked just right. Very delicious and unique. Great service. Next time we are in Reno, will definitely come back. I highly recommend them. read more

Shrimp is delicious. Definitely pay 4.99 for dirty fries otherwise they're nothing special. Ambiance is legit bc you're in a casino with open windows. Ordering service is fast. Food takes a minute which is fine but the fries come up too fast leaving them to wait on the protein getting a bit cold by the time you receive your order read more

This was my first time to Legends Bay Oyster & Sushi bar. We had some guests from the Bay Area and…read morethey wanted sushi. Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The hot link had a good flavor, and had just enough of a "zip" to it, that got my attention. There was a good amount of pork in the beans, and I'm not sure what was in the sauce, but it was rich and delicious. The coleslaw was nicely, dressed with a little bit of pepper in it. The cornbread had just a little bit of a "sweet" to it, which I really like. It was also very tender. It didn't need any butter, or anything. This amazing meal, they only charged me 20 bucks.
