I've been to this store several times now, yet I haven't bought anything. Each time I've gone with the intention of buying a few gifts. Each time I have been ignored. I've waved down sales people. I even had two ask me to move aside the other day so they could get items from a drawer. One time I actually had a sales person help me momentarily, but when she realized I was interested in the layering necklaces and not the fine jewelry, she walked away as I was talking to her. Then she ignored me after when I tried to get her attention again. The store was not busy that day. Perhaps it's because on a couple of occasions I've had my young child with me (pro tip: a mom with a small child is more likely to buy quickly and be more open to the upsell because that child does not want to be in that store). It's very disappointing. I think the jewelry is beautiful, but the service is terrible. read more

I've been following Gorjana for 2 years now. I have been looking for a jewelry line that I'd want to wear everyday and would go with all of my outfits and moods. While there are hundreds of other jewelry designers out there, there was something about Gorjana that peeked my interests. Her line seemed to fit my everyday wear. From casual to dressy, everything she creates is simple and classy and can be worn by all ages which makes it easy and great when you need to find a gift. I was shopping today and saw the storefront when I thought I was done shopping for the day. I was so happy it was right in front of me. I've missed their store on several trips due to the remodel since I'd avoid it and shop around it. Glad I found them on my way out. So happy they are open in Irvine. My mission today was to find a gift for my friend's mom. Thanks to Erin and Kate, I walked out with a gift for my friend's mom (Perry Small Hoops earrings), bespoke Plate Necklace & Power Birthstone Necklace for me. STORE/DECOR - I love how the store displays their jewelry lines. So clean and simple. Easy to see and touch with great lighting. Almost a relax-spa-like environment. All they need is some "spa water" for their customers/guests. CUSTOMER SERVICE - What made me want to purchase more than I needed was the GREAT customer service that her staff provided. Erin and Kate were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable that I convinced myself I needed a few items too. These days, friendly customer service is almost extinct in the retail world. It's always refreshing to find a company that has an amazing line of products but also provide stellar customer service. For that single reason, I will continue to support these amazing companies. Erin offered "free engraving" for my Plate Necklace which came out amazing. Kate rang me up at the cashier and did a nice job gift boxing and wrapping my gifts. Easiest $200+ spent ever! Lol. VERDICT - I'm a FAN and will come back to add new pieces to my collection. I cannot wait to share and tell all of my friends and coworkers about my new LOVE. I just wanted to pop in and say #metoo ! Was very interested in getting jewelry here at this prime location. Unfortunately I couldn't get a hello as I tried to wave 2 salespersons down after standing at a necklace stand for 10 minutes. The store was not busy. Nevertheless, I purchase all my friends gifts either at Nordstrom, Anthropologie, or Target at the Spectrum, and plenty of online Etsy stores with personal customer service. Really beautiful pieces and nice store ambiance! I came by on a Friday after work and have been eyeing Gorjana for a while. Glad that I did! There's so much to say - I had a lot of help from Rachel and Kate who showed me how to layer pieces and go for a simple look. After they showed me on a mannequin some pieces, I went with two necklaces and an engraved ring. They have a lot of different styles and colors (rose gold, silver and gold) and also some pieces had adjustable chains so that was really cool - to maybe make it shorter like a choker or mid-length depending how you want it. The service was absolutely horrible today when I walked into Gorjana. It was around 11:30ish and there was 4 girls working and not one of them helped us and we were standing there for over 30mins asking for someone and even standing at the register. I really hate leaving negative reviews but there were several instances where my friends and I have had a poor experience shopping at this location. We are constantly ignored even if there are less than 5 people shopping in the area. The only common denominator is that we are all POC. We understand it is a busy location. What really upset me this time is that my mom was waiting for 20 minutes for someone to attend to her and every employee today attended to the girls that look just like them. Once my mom finally got attended, she was left with a simple phrase, "Oh we don't have those in silver" and no further assistance was given to my mom. Where as the same employee went on and on with helping this other woman when she asked her a similar question. This experience has never happened to any of us in Long Beach, Laguna, and even in Corte Madera. Seems like this store is really pushing an agenda that they only want a certain type a person shopping there. And lets play with the idea that there is no race involved, they still leave us with the impression that shopping at Gorjana is unpleasant. At least it is in this location. read more

I was intrigued by the various gems they have as bracelets and they have a description of each one and how they help with certain energies in our life like love, protection..... I was fortunate to be here when I came because they were having a party!!!! It is pretty pricey in here. I have been going to this Gorjana for years. I have purchased many of their fine jewelry. I had a terrible experience with Abby at this location. Abby tried to tell me that I could not get another ring covered under the warranty. I told her that this wasn't true and I know gorjana's warranty and happiness guarantee. I told her she was wrong and she should know their policy because she works there. She argued with me and said that I couldn't. I told her to present me the warranty and policy that says I'm wrong. She says okay and proceeds to go to the back to "look for it". I'm waiting for half an hour for her to show me the warranty. She finally comes back and says that I am right and I can exchange it, I just need corporate approval. Turns out Abby did not send the style change request to corporate even though she said she would. I went to the gorjana at Fashion island and they took care of me and I was able to get my ring with no issue. Abby should be fired for her disrespect and lack of knowledge of company policies. Don't know how someone like that is hired. It is unethical to say you will do something on a customers behalf and don't. Definitely want to speak to a manager about this. read more

This is the stupidest shopping experience. My daughter bought me an engraved bracelet for Mother's Day. Great! It was a little too small, so I purchased the extender via mail order. Could not figure out how it worked went into the store, and the sales associate said that they could not help because they don't have the ability to add the extender to the bracelet. Oh, you have to go to a jeweler for that. Aren't you a jeweler? Why not just designed your bracelets to be adjustable? Is that really a hard concept? I would never shop up here. read more

I've ordered from Gorjana online before so I already knew I love their pieces, so naturally I wanted to visit the actual shop. So glad I did! It's super clean and aesthetically pleasing, and the staff is just amazing! I was greeted as soon as I walked in by a gorgeous young lady with impeccable style. So having her help me pick out pieces made me feel like I was definitely making the right choice. I ended up buying a beautiful dainty ring from the fine jewelry section (even though I was only there to buy a pair of earrings lol). She didn't pressure me at all - it was quite the opposite! I was having a hard time choosing the size I wanted, and to be honest I took up a LOT of her time. She never once made me feel rushed, and just gave me her honest opinions. There were two sales associates standing around who couldn't even greet us upon entering, I've worked retail before and greeting guests is the bare minimum especially when we were the only ones in the store along with another woman. Both associates only helped the Caucasian women while they didn't offer us any help. They couldn't greet us or offer us any help, so I didn't buy anything for that reason. Excellent customer service here! I had purchased a chain bracelet and long necklace that got extremely tangled when I was traveling. Even though I was careful packing them. Sisi and Katie worked on it to get it untangled for me and shipped it to me in Mission Viejo along with a personal hand written note from Sisi. Wow!!! I am impressed and would not hesitate to go to the store for future purchases!! With great customer service like that, definitely deserves 5+ stars!! The quality of the necklace was very nice. I really loved looking at each necklace. I've been searching for a good quality necklace and I found one right here at Gorjana. Some even came in sets, I am so mad that I didn't get the sets of the one I have now. I wear it all the time! Although it's a little tight the space it's really organized. The sales people definitely "select" who they want to speak to. When I asked for help, they said someone would be right with me. The same person then goes to someone who just walked in the door and assisted them!! The only thing I can assume why I would be ignored is based off my appearance. If this happened once I could brush it off but not three or four times. It's definitely discrimination and needs to be known to corporate. I have been a fan of Gorjana (GORE-EE-AH-NA) for some time now. Her jewelry is timeless and I have had and have worn Gorjana Reidel's designs for years now to include a barrel necklace and sterling silver stacked rings from her collection from years ago. In the past, I have ordered from her website and purchased her jewelry from Nordstrom, but I am so pleased now that she has retail stores in many locations with several local to me in South Orange County in Laguna Beach, Newport Beach and Irvine. The girls in this store are friendly and helpful. I love how the jewelry is displayed in the Irvine store that I have visited many times now. I have purchased items here for myself and for gifts for friends and family of all ages. They have really neat mommy and me matching bracelets and gemstone bracelets arranged by color and stone definition in the store which make great gifts. They do a beautiful job of gift boxing and gift wrapping in bags with tissues. Makes it so easy for gift giving. I recently purchased an opal necklace for myself, my birthstone and had one of my older necklaces redipped and had its clasp fixed. I was so pleased they did the jewelry maintenance on my beloved necklace for free and I am so glad to have it back. With the brand new area of Irvine Spectrum opening it's new stores in the new wing, I am glad Gorjana kicked it off with this new retail location. read more

I want to start off by saying that I frequent this store a lot. Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10, I am blatantly ignored or will be the last one to be attended to by the sale associates. For some background, I am a person of color. It is extremely disheartening the number of times I have walked into this store and have been ignored while other customers who come in AFTER me and who do look "the part" get greeted and assisted. I walked in today to purchase a gift for a friend and told myself that I would time how long it takes for a sale associate to approach me. Mind you, they were not busy and there were multiple girls in the floor. Two of them looked at me but did not approach me. After about 6 minutes, a sales associate walked towards me and said "Hi, are you shopping for yourself today?". I turned around to answer her only to realize that she was helping a customer who JUST walked in and looked more "the part" than I do. I said "Oh wow, you weren't even talking to me" and only then did a different associate approach me to assist and mind you, this girl was doing something at the register the whole time, so I do not blame her at all. It's her coworkers who ignored me that I blame. This is the last time that I will shopping from this store, not that any of these girls would really care about that, I mean obviously based off of my past experiences here. Do not shop here if you are a person of color. The majority of the girls who work here are picky with who they want to help. Picky is just my nice way of saying racist. This has happened to me too many times to be a coincidence. I also see a few reviews on here with similar experiences. Higher management needs to address this because it is complete bs. Really nice woman helped me pick out my rings that i wanted and helped me with sizing. The rose set seems to run small. The quality of the jewels are really nice. I usually get them shipped, but i wanted to try on the bands before buying them. I am glad the nice woman was there to help me. I have a lot of pieces from this brand. I underestimated the beauty of the smaller necklaces. The bigger versions are definitely big. The smaller ones are still noticeable like the smaller Parker and Venice necklaces and Marin necklaces. I love Gorjanas jewelry and have acquired quite a collection. Most friends and family gift me Gorjana pieces and I'm always thrilled with every piece they carry. The quality is high and the designs are cute and trendy but still very sleek and easy to wear to the office. Today I came in to exchange quite a few pieces I had that I've worn a ton and have began to lose their shine/tarnish. Gorjana has a happiness guaranteed policy allowing you to exchange the pieces for new ones if you have a receipt. The sales associates Tianna and Kate helped me today and were SO kind. Like mentioned, i receive Gorjana a lot as gifts so these girls had to track down multiple receipts and on some of the pieces, Gorjana no longer Carrie's them so I had a credit. The sales associates helped me pick new pieces out, showing me a variety of pieces until I selected the ones I wanted. The exchange was pretty complex because I had, like ten pieces I was exchanging and they were so helpful and kind! I turned around and she had gone over to help another customer who entered store after me. I was speechless-well for a moment. When she finally acknowledged me still standing there she acted like she never spoke to me. So very rude--and clueless. Left without the necklace.
