First thing is first, make a reservation before coming and try to come at the time they open in the morning rather than later so you don't have to worry about the rush that comes between noon-1pm. They open at 11am. I loved the bingo in between music and the DJ really had us rocking. There's plenty of free street parking in the area on Sundays. Overall the service was fine but they took quite a while just to bring our food and we were the first ones there. Our server was nice but when it got busy he did not come around and I had to flag someone to get him. Now let's get into the food: Catfish - 5/5 Steak - 3/5: great flavor but thin & a little fatty Red velvet waffles - 4/5 Eggs - 5/5 Biscuits - 5/5 Beignet Doughnuts - 5/5 Gumbo 5/5: I just wish there was more protein, there was one sausage in my bowl.

I was disappointed with my experience. They advertised a Juneteenth special on Instagram, but when we arrived and asked about it, we were told it only applied if you were wearing a Juneteenth shirt. That requirement was never mentioned in the post, which felt misleading. On top of that, the service was very slow. Our server rarely checked on us, drinks took about 25 minutes to arrive, and our hookah took around 40 minutes wings and fries took an hour. Overall, the lack of communication and poor service made for a frustrating experience. I hope they improve their customer service and make promotional details clearer in the future.

Food was good, but service was slow! They were out of gumbo, grits, and red wine. Pros: lamb chops were good Food was fresh. Cons: service was inattentive Loud (more of a party vibe during the day) 2pm Pasta noodles needed 2 more minutes .

Gotti's is a nice choice if you're looking for good food, drinks, and a lively vibe for brunch in Houston. I have gone twice now (once for dinner and brunch) and enjoyed myself each time. One thing to note, even with a reservation, you still may have to wait a bit to be seated. Our reservation was for 2:30 pm and we were not seated until 3 pm due to a large party ahead of us. It wasn't the worst thing, we used the time to look over the menu, but at the same time there isn't much of a waiting area inside so you'll likely be in the way of a lot of the in and out traffic. There also really isn't a bar area, so it was maybe 4-5 parties all bunched up near the front. Once seated, the atmosphere is very upbeat and fun which is great for a brunch where you want the vibes but maybe not the large crowd of people. It can get very loud, though, as there is a DJ and an MC on the mic. They both add to the energy, but I found myself practically shouting to talk to my two friends at a four-top table. They also had a segment where they gave out free shots which is cool, they've done this both times I was there. I'd recommend you to know what you want when you sit down, because even though that was our strategy we still ended up waiting another 30 minutes for even our mimosa tower to come to the table. We also ordered hot lemon pepper wings, beignet bites, and Cajun balls. Actually, received a second complimentary order of the beignet bites due to the wait which was appreciated. We all ordered the fried catfish, shrimp, and grits with an order of collard greens on the side. FIRE. Parking is another minor (or major) inconvenience but it's due to the location. Very typical for Houston, different lots charge different prices for parking especially when there are events going on, so you may drop about $20-30 before you even get to the door. Give yourself a little extra time to figure that part out. Overall, Gotti's brunch is worth the visit if you're looking for great food, good drinks, and a high energy vibe. Just know it might come with a bit of a wait and a lot of noise.

When we walked into Gotti's, the vibe shifted to "quaint but cool," the kind of spot you low-key root for as soon as you sit down. Now, do I wish they had a real bar? Yes, because I am a bar-girl at heart. But the service-area bar came through for us anyway, and it turned into VIP seating to watch everything behind the scenes. They had Tuesday specials going, so we grabbed Espolòn Blanco shots -- one with salt, one with sugar. And here's the kicker: Their salt is colored blue. Most places color the sugar. Gotti's understood the assignment but rewrote it. Shoutout to the crew because service was tight: Angela -- the manager holding it all together. Daphne -- light-skinned with red hair, made our shots with love and wrist action. Zoe -- bun high, checkout smooth, no notes. They were ready for us to take the shot, so I had to stop talking mid-sentence -- priorities.

I've been here twice now, and I must say I truly enjoyed the food. Everything we've ordered the flavor was on point, and the drinks are divine. We've tried their multi - flavored mimosas and other cocktail drinks. The service is always great, and the music will definitely put you in a party mood. The whole area is really a one stop shop for all things fun - I could truly see a restaurant/pub crawl event. ;)

Stopped in for a late night happy hour not expecting much but my friend and I were blown away by how great and tasty the food was! Our waitress Daphne was also exceptional and very attentive despite being the only waiter on staff. Already planning to come back to try more drinks, the entrees/rest of the menu.

Came here as it was next door to Warehouse Live where we were catching a Dean Lewis and Forest Blakk concert. Glad we chose it because food was served quickly and delicious! Marcus was a great server, and the atmosphere with tvs of music videos was so fun! In and out in less than 30 minutes!

My friends and I came to Houston for spring break and we were looking for a fun brunch spot. Gotti's came highly recommended and we definitely had to try them out. We had a 10/10 experience. The food and the vibes we had were top tier. Our waitress was great, she gave her recommendations and help us navigate through the menu. The DJ was playing all the best music creating a fun atmosphere. The Red Velvet waffles and chicken were amazing! The softness of the waffle paired well with the juicy crunchy chicken wings. I love how they gave us actual chicken wings versus how most places give chicken tenders. All in all if I'm back in Houston, Gotti's is number one on my list to visit again.

MAKE A RESERVATION OR YOU WILL BE WAITING! I was in town for AfroTech 2024 and, of course, had to check out a brunch spot. I asked my friend who lives there for a recommendation, and she told me that Gotti's was the perfect place for brunch--and she was absolutely right! Parking wasn't the easiest; I recommend taking a rideshare or carpooling since it's mostly street parking in the area. Once inside, I found the restaurant to be quaint and cozy, creating an inviting atmosphere. The waitress was incredibly kind and helpful, making the experience even better. I have to say, the crab cakes at Gotti's were the best I've ever had! They were the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--absolutely divine. We loved them so much that we ordered a second round, and they came out just as perfectly cooked as the first. It's clear that the quality at Gotti's is consistently outstanding. Indulging in their exquisite duo of lump crab cakes was a culinary experience like no other. Each bite was bursting with succulent crab meat, delicately seasoned, and drizzled in a delightful Cajun sauce. I truly savored the richness of every mouthful. If you're a crab cake lover, this is a must-try! The mac & cheese was absolutely delicious! The creamy, decadent cheese sauce enveloped perfectly cooked noodles that had just the right amount of bite. Each forkful was a delightful blend of rich, velvety goodness, creating a comforting dish that was incredibly satisfying. The flavors blended harmoniously, making it hard to resist going back for more. It's the kind of mac & cheese that warms your soul and leaves you craving another helping! The waffle was unfortunately disappointing; it gave off a frozen, microwave vibe instead of the fresh, homemade quality I was hoping for. I was also a bit let down that the chicken wings came separately and not attached, but I have to give credit where it's due--the chicken itself was delicious. The scrambled eggs were decent but not exactly my style. They were fluffy and cooked well, yet they just didn't hit the mark for me personally. As for the breakfast potatoes, they left something to be desired. They were quite thick and had more of a wedge vibe than what I typically expect from breakfast potatoes. They also lacked seasoning and crispiness, so I wouldn't order them again. Overall, my experience was good, but I doubt I'd go back. The vibe of the place felt too much like a breakfast club, and the music was so loud that my friends and I struggled to hold a conversation. It was challenging to engage with each other, and even the waitress was hard to hear. When we finally left, we felt a sense of relief to escape the overwhelming noise. I understand they want to create a fun brunch atmosphere, but it crossed the line into an environment where communication felt almost impossible. It's a shame, as I was looking forward to a great meal and time with friends!

Sunday Funday with the girls! Reservations are a must because this place is jumpin! Great atmosphere. Decent food. Service was only okay due to long wait times. I tried the shrimp and grits with waffles (because breakfast is meant to be sweet & savory). We got a mimosa tower because why not? Overall I would come back again because of the atmosphere and food but not anytime soon.

Saturday night at 6 pm. Be advised music is LOUD. Not upset by it, just did not know it would be like this. Gumbo - shut the hell up, because this was LIT. Roux absolutely perfect, bold, great flavor. Boudin balls - YUM....could have eaten all 3 of these, hated to share. Catfish bites - seasoning was super, only downside was fish was a little tough, maybe fried too long? Service was excellent. Will be back to try some of the entrees, they ALL sound amazing!

Catfish and crawfish Mac and cheese

This place was a complete vibe, especially after the disaster I just experienced in Chicago. The music was blasting, TVs were on and smiles on all the faces at every table even at 1140 damn near closing time. Everyone was super friendly and the food....i had catfish and Mac and cheese with crawfish and my spouse had an impossible burger, everything was really good! I appreciate y'all making good food until you close you had no idea how amazing it was after the day we had. Highly recommend, for good food and good vibes. ***don't mind my picture I tore into it

Is the vibe good for a birthday for a 45 year old plus 10 guests?

Yes the vibe would be great and the DJ will be on point

    Is it kid friendly?

There were children there on the day I went for brunch. In my opinion, I wouldn't bring a child. The music is unedited and the crowd is having adult fun. Cursing, twerking, not kid friendly to me, but I did see all ages.

Even with the crowd, the line kept moving, and there was no shortage of delicious-looking options on the steam table. From fried chicken and turkey wings to baked fish, spaghetti, cabbage, green beans, mac and cheese, dressing, black-eyed peas, collard greens, candied yams, mashed potatoes, and more, it was hard to decide what to order because everything looked homemade. I ordered the turkey wing with collard greens, black-eyed peas, mashed potatoes with gravy, rice, a corn muffin, and sweet potatoes. I also grabbed a Suicide Punch, which is a mix of all their Kool-Aid flavors. First, let's talk about those sweet potatoes... BABY!! They absolutely stole the show. They were piping hot, buttery, perfectly sweet, and hands down the best thing on my plate. I could've easily eaten another serving. The collard greens were seasoned beautifully with a rich, smoky flavor and plenty of pot liquor. They were tender without being mushy and tasted like they had been cooking all day. The black-eyed peas were creamy, well-seasoned, and comforting, while the mashed potatoes were smooth and paired perfectly with the savory gravy. The rice soaked up every bit of that gravy, and the corn muffin was soft with just the right touch of sweetness. The turkey wing itself was tender, juicy, and covered in flavorful gravy. My only surprise was that I was expecting just the wing portion, but instead I received the whole wing with the drum attached. It wasn't a big deal because it was still delicious--I just personally prefer getting only the wing. The Suicide Punch was another winner. If you grew up drinking Kool-Aid, you'll appreciate it. It's sweet, refreshing, and a fun mix of all the flavors. My family ordered several other dishes, so we got to try quite a variety. We had baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, and black-eyed peas, and everything was generously portioned. The baked chicken was moist and well-seasoned, and the mac and cheese had that creamy, homemade taste you hope for from a soul food restaurant. My only real complaint was that some of the food was served lukewarm instead of hot, which took away from the experience a little. Soul food just hits differently when it's fresh and piping hot. Ironically, the sweet potatoes were the one item that came out nice and hot, and they were absolutely perfect. Overall, Mikki's serves authentic soul food with generous portions and flavors that remind you of Sunday dinner at a family member's house. The food is comforting, the selection is impressive, and it's easy to see why the place stays busy. If everything had been served hot, this would've easily been a five-star experience. Pro tip: Don't leave without getting the sweet potatoes and a Suicide Punch. Trust me--you'll thank me later. sweet potatoes and a Suicide Punch free refills. Trust me--you'll thank me later.

Cute eatery with cozy but classy vibes. When we arrived around 1, they even had live music playing…read morein the patio area in the back. There's also parking in the back of the restaurant, or you can street park. A great place to stop to eat if you're in the Museum district, but make sure to make reservations, since there's a bit of a wait otherwise. We tried the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, hot chilli biscuits, oxtail omelette, jalapeño poppers, fried green tomato, croissant French toast, Mac n cheese and chicken fried steak. Of them all, I really liked the hot chilli biscuits, oxtail omelette, french toast and fried green tomatoes. The hot chilli biscuits were sized more like mini pancakes. The croissant French toast was delicious and sweet enough to eat without syrup, which is how I had it. I would get the oxtail omelette or the croissant French toast myself, if I come back. For drinks we tried the Moscow mule and peach mimosas. The peach mimosa was a little medicinal tasting, so I'd recommend the original mimosa.

Honestly wasn't very impressed. I think it had a lot to do with the experience. Don't eat at the…read morebar. Get a table if you're going to eat here. Apparently this place prefers you make reservations. Food was good but lacking for the price point we paid. I get it, there's costs associated with running a restaurant. But it was lackluster. Croissant French toast tasted like pan toasted croissant with a dust of powdered sugar. Oxtail omelette needed more cheese and more than 3 strands of pickled onion to give it balance and dimension. People come to restaurants to have a good experience but it was just strange vibes tbh with the staff complaining and venting to each other. Don't do it in front of the customers.... It's not a good look. Also not cool how the server/bartender preselected for us what percentage for us to tip on the tablet. Anchoring like that's not going to make us want to give you any bigger of a tip. Just feels like they see you as a walking moneybag. I feel conflicted writing this because I know we're all human just doing our jobs and getting through the day, but this was my experience.

I'll start by saying! This is a must try, if you're in the Houston area put a check mark next to…read morethis place. You won't regret it! After a long cruise, I was ready to eat some food! I love my cruise food but I needed something different. On my way out I decided to try the breakfast Klub. Klub with a K don't get it confused. I was convinced it wouldn't be much of a wait, it was a Thursday morning. I was wrong! The line was wrapped around the corner. It moved fairly fast, once I ordered I understood why. When you enter the restaurant you'll see a lot of articles about the owner on the wall. It was refreshing to read them, I'm amazed by his relentless.I literally paid, went to the restroom to wash my hands. Sat at my table for maybe 5 minutes, before I could blink my food was being served! I had wings and waffles the chicken is crispy on the outside yet juicy when you bite in. I loved the ambiance not too loud you can have a good conversation. The decor is a story telling journey.

I'm an onion and potato type of girl and when I asked for a modification I was told it comes already like that. Depending on when you go there may be a line out front but they are prompt with guiding the line and getting everyone seated. My last time here the owner or manager came around to check in and ensure I was enjoying my meal. The staff are always so friendly! I see why they're always so busy. If you're a Toast rewards member you can get points for your meals here too! This is my go to breakfast spot for good southern cooked food.
