I got to try the Bro Matcha Einspanner today! The cream was very tasty and sweet and it complimented the matcha well. The matcha itself had a nice flavor but I do wish I got more of a stronger matcha taste. The cafe itself had plenty of seating and everything looked really clean as well. I think the logo is absolutely adorable. There was a cute little merch corner to buy cups with their logo on it and their own coffee as it did taste a little watered down. This a really good coffee shop in Mid-town Manhattan. I was so happy to try the strawberry matcha with fresh strawberries blended in. I also enjoyed my the Affogato that was especially needed for this hot day in the city. It was so good with that strong sweet taste of coffee and the cooling of the ice cream. I definitely will be back to get another one. The service was ok, could have been a little better but I came close to closing time so maybe they were burnt out already. They have plenty of tables and chairs to sit but I didn't stay. Had this coffee shop bookmarked during my visit to NYC. Didn't realized it may be an Asian inspired coffee shop? My friend ordered an iced cherry blossom matcha and I got the iced london fog latte. The iced coconut latte was enticing as well. She did not care for her drink at all. The matcha tasted watered down plus there's nothing "cherry blossom" about it except for the flower petals sprinkled on top. My london fog latte was fine. Nowadays, you'll be out close to 8 or 9 dollars if you go to a fancy coffee shop and this place is no exception.  To be fair, the place is minimalist but cute and their drink menu sounds delicious.  I went with some colleagues and we were excited to try out their einspanners.  Prior to coming here I had only tried an einspanner once and all I really knew is that there was a yummy cap of cream on top and that it was half drink half dessert (yum!). Upon further research (aka Google), we learned that einspanners supposedly came from Vienna and that you could drink it while riding in a horse and carriage (this is why the top is thick to prevent spillage).  Nowadays of course, there's a more modern take and it has been popularized in the US and in Korea.  We were amused by this fun fact and tried the cafe's black sesame and golden (pumpkin spice) versions. Since the cream is on top, if you don't mix the beverage, it starts out a lot sweeter and tastes slightly bitter by the end (relatively speaking).  The second time I drank a bit of the cream foam first then mixed it and the uniformity made it taste better overall.  While it likely comes down to preference, that's how I'll probably drink these in the future! I also learned that einspanners could have coffee added or it could be caffeine free.  So for the coffee lovers, you could add the default double shot or just get one which is what I did.  I enjoyed both of the ones we tried and especially liked the taste of the black sesame one.  Can't wait to try their other flavors!  Now that it's colder, their hot bevvies would probably taste even better! read more

Always a good cuppa! 12 min walk from Rockefeller center and 5 mins away from Times Square, this place has become our go-to for a great cup of coffee and a quick chat. Coffee to milk ratio is always perfect and it doesn't matter what kind of milk you get with your drinks. Strawberry matcha has a great balance of strawberry puree and matcha and milk. Creamy but not too thick. Einspanner of course delivers 100% as usual, hot matcha also has a great balance of flavors and the americano is a classic drink. Needed a fix of caffeine/coffee after our breakfast for our full day in NYC. This spot stood out for many reasons. Their logo is great, photos of their drinks looked amazing, the rave reviews, and being an independent spot. They are known for their signature drinks, Einspänners. Think espresso that is then topped with sweetened whip cream and it is traditionally a Vietnamese style drink. Typical no matter the weather my wife and I are always go iced with our drinks no matter the temperature or weather. Today though we were feeling like sitting down and escaping the cold/snow so we each got our drinks hot. My wife went with the Bro Einspänner Latte and I got the seasonal drink Marshmallow Snow Matcha. Both were super unique and top notch quality. My wife is the bigger matcha fan of us two and was the best matcha she has had! Will definitely keep our eyes peeled for other versions of Einspänner drinks in the future. The space is bright with lots of white paint/walls and hardwood floors along with some art. Staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile and drinks made quickly. I was in the area and in the mood for a cool drink on a warm day, had been meaning to try one of their einspanners for a while now. The outer facade of the store is still scaffolded making it a little harder to spot, being on 43rd street it's right next to the hustle and bustle of Bryant Park and Times Square though manages to maintain a very calm atmosphere with its light decor palette and spacious seating. Not too crowded on at Saturday morning at 11am, plenty of seats. The staff is super helpful! I asked what was in the einspanner and they said espresso, matcha or sesame with milk*, housemade flavored syrup, (black sesame flavored in the case of the sesame einspanner), and a healthy heaping of slightly sweetened freshly-made whipped cream with a drizzle of syrup on top. Optional and free to add a shot of espresso, so I opted for the caffeine. It tasted as good as it looked! Plenty of toasted black sesame flavor, a beautifully fluffy whipped cream. They give a little compostable spoon that you can use to scoop up the cream; or if you mix it with the rest of the drink it adds a smooth richness to round out the little natural grittiness from the sesame paste too. My son and I hopped on over here to grab some coffee before our Broadway play at the Hudson Theater. I could not get over how darn cute their logo is. Bunny&Bro is a nice, airy space serving some of the best einspanners and pastries in the city. It's a laptop friendly cafe equipped with a good amount of seating, along with outlets scattered throughout. They also have free wifi and a bathroom in the back. All in all, a solid cafe to get some work done or catch up with some friends! I finally got to try their matcha einspanner, and it definitely didn't disappoint! It's a more modern twist on matcha, with some cream and matcha drizzle that really seals the deal. It also helps that the latte itself is super cute and photogenic. I also ordered their parmesan twist, which turned out surprisingly good. It's shaped like palmiers, and when they heat it up for you, has a nice flakiness to it. I'm a big matcha connoisseur and have been searching for a matcha that is on par with the ones I've had in LA. Bunny & bro is has the first matcha that is as good, if not better than my favorite matchas in LA. As soon as I saw the matcha einspanner I knew I had to get it.
