Grafa is a small pizza shop located in the heart of Sobe. If you're going for a job or a tourist on a segway tour, then you could easily make the mistake of overlooking this hidden gem. From the outside, it's a no-frills pizza restaurant, but what Grafa lacks in aesthetics it makes up with in great taste and friendly service. The must-have on the menu is the "Greek or Greca" pizza, a combination of tomato, mozzarella, feta, and fresh parsley, it was quickly the table favorite. I also recommend the "Meat Lovers" pizza for the carnivores and the "Supreme" if you're in the mood for adding some veggies to the mix. In my opinion vegetables on pizza means that you are eating a completely balanced meal. The presentation of the pizza draws you in; I say this because no less than three different people (who were walking by) asked us for our opinion of the pizza. On to the pasta. We ordered the appropriately named Spicy Arrabbiata, and it didn't disappoint, what I enjoyed about the pasta menu was the fact that you were provided the option to choose between four types of paste - Spaghetti, Fettuccine, Rigatoni, and Penne. I was honestly very surprised at the quality of the food given the low prices. Not to talk bad about Casa Tua, but Grafa's pasta is WAY better. Yup. I said it. I tried the chicken bacon ranch pizza, classic pepperoni & sausage, bolognese pasta, & the truffle pasta. I can't pick a favorite because everything was genuinely delicious. Being from Miami we avoid South Beach because of the tourist this is not one of the places you want to avoid. On Washington Ave, Grafa is located a gem in the wall is used best describe it. There is outdoor seating as well as a bar wall and stools inside (people watching outside is better). Anyways we were greeted upon entering and you have a view of the pizzas as well as the kitchen. They speak Italian which was also great. We had the rigatoni bolognese (that's what we were recommended too, thank me later) it was delicious! The owner and the employees were very friendly and accommodated us quickly, and I could not have asked for a better late-night pizza experience! Grafa Pizza is tucked away on Washington Avenue near 14th street not too far from South Beach. It's a small establishment with some outdoor seating but boasts huge flavor and personality. I had one slice each of those two flavors earlier. Definitely got filled up. Next time I'm at South Beach, I will be back to try their other slices! How this pizza place got 3-3.5 stars is beyond me. Don't get fooled by this little hole in the wall because you will get blown away by everything. The staff is Italian, the pizza was great even my picky eater 4 yo boy ate it. Visited Grafa for the first time on a Wednesday evening and I'm already planning the next time I go again! My friend and I were in the mood for comfort foods and came across Grafa. The ingredients tasted extremely fresh and our server was very friendly and helpful. My friend and I agreed that not enough places offer a small side of pasta, so I was happy we were able to split the pizza toppings and share the pizza to try everything they had to offer. To start off, I had the Prosciutto Salad, which has fresh mozzarella, baby spinach, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and Prosciutto di Parma, as authentic as it gets,topped off with a balsamic glaze. The salad is a decent portion and can even be shared amongst two. My boyfriend had the cheese pizza, also good and fresh from the oven. As an entree, I had the truffle pasta and chose the gluten free penne pasta. The only difference I found was that I was able to eat more of my pasta and not feel so stuffed. My boyfriend had the chicken Alfredo pasta and loved it as well. Both pastas are decent size and can be shared as well. For dessert we shared the Nutella pizza. My wife and I got "stuck" in Miami Beach for an extra day, due to weather preventing us from getting home. After finding a hotel in a JAM PACKED miami beach, toting our luggage through the city, and finally getting settled in our last minute hotel, we were both super hungry and started to look for something to eat. So the search began, as we have already had a long & exhaustive day and did not want to venture too far from our hotel, and we found a true hidden gem, after reading the menu online! Once we arrived, there wasn't much room to sit inside, but they had a couple tables outside and the day was not blistering hot & there was a slight breeze to make dining outside pretty comfortable. After perusing the menu inside and finding out they had not one, but TWO types of gluten free pizza crusts AND pasta, we knew this was definitely THE place to have dinner! We were greeted with the most welcoming, professional, & helpful staff and were guided through the menu to find out what she could have. One delight not seen too often in pizza restaurants was that they make their alfredo from scratch and it doesn't contain any gluten. Just the way any good alfredo is made with three ingredients: parmesan cheese, butter, and cream! Although this is a small establishment and there is, essentially, mainly counter service for a slice of pizza, a fresh stromboli, or tasty calzone, the cashier Llaria, once again, went above & beyond, to check on us multiple times as we were ravenously enjoying the absolutely delicious pizzas the chef prepared for us, drinking a couple ice cold beers, and people watching the buzz on Washington Ave! On Uber eats this restaurant goes by the name Truffle Italian restaurant. Warning don't order from this place on Uber eats. The cheesecake listed on their menu is $5.95 however on Uber Eats it's $10. The tiramisu listed on their menu is $5.95. However on Uber eats it's $10. What we received was a piece of frozen tiramisu and the thinnest piña's little piece of cheesecake I've ever seen in my life, for $10. The lasagna was nothing short of disgusting. It was literally floating in oil. Clearly this restaurant purchases the cheapest grade of ground beef to use in their lasagna. It had so much grease and oil from the meat that the little black container that the lasagna was placed in actually had a ring of grease all the way around it. It was literally disgusting. Not to forget the fact that they charge about $20 for it on Uber eats and sell it at the restaurant for $12.95. At other price it's overpriced for their version of a lasagna. Their version of lasagna consisted of noodles tomato sauce and hamburger meat. There was nothing else aside from some cheese on top. Again absolutely disgusting. They should just close on Uber eats that it's a pizza joint and not an Italian restaurant in the capacity that they are representing themselves on Uber eats. We visited Grafa in Miami Beach for dinner on a Tuesday night. Ambience - it is a small pizza/pasta restaurant where you can expect a quick lunch/dinner. Their pesto is so fresh and flavorful it paired perfectly with the Gnocchi. They also have fresh homemade bread & olive oil to pair with your pasta which is so soft. I also had the Bolognese pasta which was cooked to perfection! The meat sauce coated the pasta beautifully which allowed for a little sauce & pasta in every bite!
