I should start by saying I had this pizza last Thursday while visiting Miami, and I've been craving it ever since I got back home! We stumbled upon this pizza place late one night while on our way to our favorite Mexican restaurant down the street, but the pizza looked so good that we decided to stop in, and I'm so glad we did! The staff and the owner were all super friendly and the pizza was hot and delicious! It's a great stop to swing in and get a slice or two of pizza after a night in south beach, and they're open late for all the Miami shenanigans! This is definitely a new favorite Miami spot for us and I'm sure we'll be going back every time we're in town! I'm all about the dough! And Grafa pizza's dough is on point. Hole in the wall joint that is serving tasty pizza and pasta. Very friendly staff narrow pizza joint that is sure to please. We ordered the mushroom and pepperoni pizza slice, meat lovers Stromboli and the pesto pasta with spaghetti. All very delicious but the meat lovers Stromboli is BOMBBBB going back to my initial statement, the pizza dough is beautiful, light fluffy and airy. The Stromboli was packed with meat, bacon, sausage, ham and pepperoni wrapped in that delicious dough. The mushroom and pepperoni pizza was good same great taste littered with mushrooms and pepperoni. The pesto pasta was also great as the hostess recommended it and I'm glad she did. As we sat and ate outside people passed with lurking eyes and a few ended up walking in, that's how good it smells and how awesome it looks. My husband and I were visiting Miami Beach for the week, staying at The Clifton off Collins Ave. We experienced a rainy day and were craving pizza so found the closest place to walk to in the rain. Grafa is a ruby location with limited seating, so I would plan to carry out (which was what we were planning to do anyway--Netflix and pizza on a rainy day!) My husband likes white pizza so we ordered the Carbonara with a side of marinara for me. The employees were so kind and sent us on our way with a surprise portion of their Nutella pizza as well. YUM. Grafapizza does it exactly how it should be. Delicious tasting pizza with some of the best service I've gotten in a long time . The ingredients were fresh and the dough was the perfect consistency of not too thin but also not too doughy (perfect for me). There's limited seating on the inside but if you're up to see the Miami Beach nightlife , seating is also available outside (highly recommend). It was my first time trying this place, for sure won't be the last. It was very difficult to pick one item from the menu since they have a lot of choices. After looking and looking at the menu we finally ordered the diavola, Margherita and my favorite Hawaiian. Great taste . When my kids heard they have desserts as well they decided to take the pizzas home. They ordered the tiramisù and chocolate cake. My thoughts on Miami pizza may be somewhat biased but I would say I appreciated that Grafa Pizza is open late for anyone with the late night munchies. Walked right in to gaze at their gallery of pizza slices ready for the take. I decided on a slice of pepperoni and sausage and they gave me a nice little box for it. Driving home, I got caught in an unholy traffic jam so I cracked open my pizza slice box to examine the goods! Floppy pizza is the style of the east coast, but the pizza held its form and the toppings didn't fall off while I demolished this piece of pie while not moving on the Dolphin Expressway. I had placed an order through yelp and it took approximately 2 hours to get here. Although I know that isn't up to the restaurant (and it's also spring break weekend), it's relevant because I was trying to be in contact with the front desk but as I was explaining the situation to see if I could just pick up the food instead of having it delivered, i was hung up on abruptly. I tried calling back and they would pick up the phone and immediately hang up. They finally answered and I asked if they could cancel the delivery so I could pick it up myself and they said yes it's possible. as I was almost there I called again to confirm and I was told the driver was already on their way with the food. Honestly, the service was absolutely horrible- and the food FAR too expensive for what we got. The only thing that was okay was the pizza which was ice cold by the time it got to us. There are many thin crust options for pizza on South Beach and this location is definitely on the top 5 list for a quick slice to eat. They have the similar set up to most pizza spots on the beach, there the whole pie is on display in the glass cabinets and you can buy it by the slice or get the whole pie. They have about 10 different types of pizzas. My favorite is the barbecue chicken and the spinach pizza. The spinach pizza has soo much pizza in comparison to other spots on the beach. This is my favorite pizza spot in town. Everytime Im close to south beach I pass by this place to get my usual slice of pepperoni. It's a hole in the wall with nice decorations everywhere. We ordered for delivery two large pie for a celebration at work. The pizza came nice and fast and was hot. They were able to satisfy all of us because they made half Greek and the other half was meat lovers. The taste of the pizza was delicious and you can really recognize the fresh ingredients. In an up characteristically short review, I will note that a $4.50 slice of pizza with bacon and ranch was my top option at 3am because there is absolutely no other pizza joint open. And tacos were not going to work. What luck. The crust was burnt, though I suspect this happened when they reheated it in the oven and almost forgot about it while helping another customer. Combined with the stomach churning amount of grease on my slice (which I went ahead and ate anyways because what else are you going to do at 3am), I would not recommend the bacon and ranch. However, the tiny shop was clean, even if I'm breathing my neighbor's pizza breath, and the guy behind the counter was quick on his feet. If you are craving for New York style pizza this is it! Service is great, very attentive. There is plenty of sitting area outside and inside the restaurant. You can also order delivery. We tried a pepperoni and sausage pizza slice, the dough and sauce were so fresh and delicious, flavors were on point. You can tell it's all made in-house. We also had a delicious stromboli, again the dough is just so good. And what really stole my heart was the pasta, I had their delicious cheese ravioli (4 gigantic creamy raviolis) with their homemade pink sauce. If I were Italian I imagine how lovely it would feel to go visit Nonna's house (grandma) and listen to her tell me stories about her life in Italy, she would serve me a bowl of warm pasta with a smile, and make me feel at home! Upon our entry to Grafa, the pasta and pizza queen, Graziela (not sure I spelled that correctly), greeted us and offered us some of the best pizza we've ever tried! The crust of this pizza is soft and toasty, just the right consistency. We ordered the tomato, basil, and feta silce and the chicken, bacon, ranch. Both pizza slices were generously sized and full of flavor! Our next meal was the pasta, wow! The pasta is tender and fresh and so delicious, the best pasta in Miami. I ordered the truffle pasta with mushrooms and spinach, the cool part is that you can choose your own noodle type so I selected a tender, thick rigatoni. The truffle oil mix is decadent and creamy and melts in your mouth. The second pasta we tried was the gnocchi with homemade pesto topped with pine nuts! I swear I could eat this pesto sauce all by itself, it's like literally the closest thing to perfection in food form! The gnocchi was soft and tender as a gnocchi should be, cooked just right. Lastly, desert! I was so full, but Graziela was so accomodating and welcoming she insisted! We had the Nutella pizza, it's rich and sweet, on fresh made dough! That really hit the spot and let us so happy! We will DEFINITELY be back to enjoy the charming decor, fabulous customer service and witty conversation, and the super star food! read more
