I put one star because I couldn't put any less. I am extremely disappointed With my experience today. I ordered online and tipped online and picked up in store. I have never ordered from them before and this is what I got on my receipt today.

After finishing our meal, I notice a cockroach crawling on the wall by my husband. Won't be back.

    Chicken feet

This review is for only dim sum Chicken feet came with only 2 per serving, color was a bit off but flavor was alright 2.5/5. Steamed bbq bun was very off putting, which she claimed was baking powder but it tasted more like spoiled milk. 0/5 The service was good as they offered to swap it out with the baked bbq pork bun which was much much better than the steamed. 3/5 We had steamed rice rolls with shrimp and the texture of the batter was not smooth and bubbly and the oil they used for it left a very unpleasant smell. 1/5 The shrimp dumpling also had a lumpy textured dough which was again unpleasant but the shrimp was good 2/5 The shu mai was dry but the flavor was overall decent. 2/5 The item I enjoyed most was the sticky rice in lotus leaves as it's pretty difficult to mess up sticky rice but it seems like they use old pork as a filling as it was extremely dry and tough. I knew this was not going to be top notch food but had pretty low expectations to begin with since we are in omaha but this fell far below anything I have ever had before. I will unfortunately not be returning and would recommend frozen items if you do have a dim sum craving like I did.

We have been here since 2014. Not many things changed. I do like the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, servers are quite laid back. They serve a very bold and flavorful the chicken feet and ear pigs. It would be perfect match if they serve with rice as the side dish. Must try the Chinese broccoli and spice ear pig Stay away from the BBQ steamy pastry, the flour wrapper taste sweet and very rich full in the outer but completely dry like eating a cheesy cardboard

I can only comment on the dim sum, but it is very good stuff. We came for dinner on Friday night and we were the first customers for dinner. Several couples and families arrived, during our stay, but it was generally not busy, though they had several come in for take out. Which is too bad, because their dim sum is really good. We order 8 different plates and ending up spending about $30. The most expensive thing was the roasted duck, which was so flavorful and cooked really well, so it wasn't chewy or too tough. The skin was crisp, which really highlights the dish. Next time, we will probably just order half a duck. Anyway, the other dim sum options were great, with the bee's nest and sesame ball (which is filled with egg custard, not red bean paste) were our favorites. The Lotus rice was solid, as were the pork and shrimp shu mai's. Altogether, the food was made fresh and tasted great, if a little salty. I definitely would like a side of white rice next time, but that's just me. Our kids ate it up and enjoyed being able to taste so many different things. This is our go to dim sum place in Omaha, and we love it.

So happy I found a pretty good dim sum place in Omaha. The dim sum menu has just about everything on it that you could want, and the prices are fairly reasonable compared to places in California. We had about a dozen items from the dim sum menu, and they were all pretty good. The items that were the best, in English, were the baked egg custard bun, the bbq pork buns (baked and steamed), the spare ribs in black bean sauce, the egg custard tarts, and the pan-fried turnip cakes. However, the steamed bbq pork buns were steamed a bit too long and the bottoms were soggy. On the other hand, the siu mai (pork and shrimp dumplings) were odd tasting, and the sticky rice was a little too bland. Also, there were only two people working the front at different times and the service was extremely slow. We sat for a long time before we were even given a menu, and long again before our order was taken. All in all, it was a good experience and worth the wait, and I recommend checking this place out for dim sum.

Grand Fortune Chinese has been on my bookmark list for quite some time but as it's across town, I hadn't yet made my way there. Since I was on business in the area, I thought it was the perfect time to stop in and get acquainted.I did take a dim sum menu to-go so I can take a look at it and come back on a weekend for brunch (dim sum=brunch food!), [Also, I might mention that they will do dim sum all days of the week, which other restaurants in town will only do weekends] but this time it was a quick take out lunch that had me at their door. I took a look at their "American" lunch menu and decided on the general tsos chicken lunch plate. The lunch plates come with soup or crab rangoons, and white or fried rice. I went with the white rice and crab rangoons for mine. The plate came with 2 rangoons, a hefty serving of rice, and 4 large pieces of chicken with some broccoli. I thought for $8, that was a good deal. portion wise, good for lunch. I would expect larger portions and more cost for dinner. The food was good, no fakey chicken packed with batter, and the sauce was enough to drown a boat, just the way we Americans like it. I'd love to come back and try some of the more traditional dishes and compare it to the dishes I ate growing up. Service for the take out was exceptional. I was helped by Brin, and not only was he super nice and offered me a water while I waited, but when I tried to pay I was also informed me that "lunch was on him" today. I was blown away! It wasn't creepy in the least, it was just a nice person doing something nice for another stranger. It's not often (read: never) that a stranger shows me so much kindness. He has earned a solid customer and I will not forget his generosity. Thanks to him, I will be making the effort to stop by and eat here more often despite the distance from my house.

We finally made it back here after a very long time. I'm very happy to see and experience better service from the staff as compared from our previous visit. The food was great! The dim sum selection was extensive and we really like all the items we ordered. The shumai (spelled multiple ways) really hit the spot and both baked buns (pork & egg custard) were made nearly perfect. And it bears repeating again....that the service was outstanding. it was truly a night and day difference from our last visit.

Having had dim sum in NYC numerous times, I was a bit skeptical of the Omaha dim sum scene. Yes, they don't come around with carts, but the food and prices are all around solid.

Each and every time, it has been consistently delicious and affordable! The ambiance when eating in is very colorful and fun. The staff we interacted with were all great about any questions we had or recommendations we asked for. We started with the Pork Potstickers. They were juicy and full of meat (no skimping, here!) that was perfectly cooked, along with plenty of sauce for dipping. Another starter we tried as the Dumpling Soup that comes inside a dumpling and gooshes out when you cut into it. The soup inside was salty and delicious, and I loved the style it was served in. Our last starter was the Beijing Noodle Soup. It came with Asian noodles, minced bits of pork, and lots of shredded veggies. It reminded me of a few other ramens I've had, but with a twist on it, as the meat was minced so it was a lot easier to have a bit of the meat in each bite/slurp! After our starters and soups, we obviously had to get a few bao buns each - I think we probably tried all of them when all was said and done. They have both steamed and fried bao buns, and we tried both. They definitely had a different texture than each other, but I liked them both; they were just different styles. My favorite was the pork fried bao bun. I liked the chicken and the beef steamed options too, but the pork seemed to work best as the protein along with the fried bao texture. Everything we had on our first visit (and that I've had in my subsequent orders) has been absolutely delicious and cooked expertly - so I don't think you can go wrong with anything you try!

Some ghost kitchens can be pretty good, depending…read moreon which brick and mortar restaurant they're run out of - and I think that formula shows here too (in not a good way). I was cautiously optimistic because I like bao buns, so I gave this a shot. I ordered a few things to make sure I liked at least something: -Spicy Mongolian Beef Bao: This was my favorite thing I got. It was a nice little soft bun filled with a tangy beef mixture. It wasn't too spicy, so don't let the name scare you off. Just a little twinge of heat, but mostly for flavor and not blasting you out of the room with spiciness. -Teriyaki Chicken Bao: I usually love teriyaki chicken, but I didn't love it in this bao bun. The mixture inside was overly sweet and there was no other flavor to cut down on the cloying flavor. I tried dipping it in the provided soy sauce, but it didn't help very much, so I sort of gave up on this one. -Spicy Kung Pao Chicken Bowl: This was a nutty mixture of toppings with little bits of chicken, all over a big hunk of white rice. The chicken was good and packed a little punch of heat. The rice below was ok for a while, but it ended up not being super flavorful once all the meat and toppings were eaten. Maybe it was a little too much rice to mix with the small amount of toppings provided. -Ginger Chicken Potstickers: These were pretty flavorful and they did not skimp on the filling. The crimped spots holding the potstickers closed was a little bit too crispy (I like them to be a little crispy, but this was on the verge of burnt and hard.) All the items I ordered (including a $3 soda) totaled about $30 before tip, just to give you an idea. The packaging was done well and branded with the Wow Bao logo, which was nice when so many other ghost kitchens just use the host restaurant's packaging/containers. One thing I will note, though, is that the bao buns have a little paper underneath them that says what the flavor is, so you can tell which is which - but that paper sort of sticks to the bun, so be sure you take that off (it's a little hard to remove!) I'd say if you're craving delivery bao buns or rice bowls, this is an okay choice - but I'd recommend a few others (non ghost kitchens) before this one.
