I loved the chicken tikka masala and we had a couple other veggie entrees that were so rich and delicious. This place needs more positive buzz and customers especially for a Saturday dinner!! My favorite Indian food restaurant in I.E. We ordered two dishes for takeout because we've heard a lot of good things about this place. It totally lived up to the hype. We ordered one andra kara masala dosa and one fish biryani. The dosa was not crispy because it's a takeout order but it tasted really good. I liked that they gave us 4 different sauces and sambar (soup) for the dosa. The fish biryani was the bomb!! So many different layers of flavor. It even included an boiled egg. How sweet. My husband and I went here for their lunch buffet. First off, the restaurant looked empty. There was one couple and that's it. They seated us and the table was dirty. I tried to get the greeters attention, but he was busy on his phone. So, we went to check out the buffet and the food looked unappetizing. We left immediately. Would not recommend. read more

Very chill atmosphere ; loved eating here earlier today. The food was excellent! All the curries and masala's were quite flavorful! The vegetable dishes were amazing! Also enjoyed the fried fish and potato pancakes! Garlic Naan was buttery soft and delicious! The server was very courteous and provided great service; soda had free refills too! The restaurant is nice and the people who run it were very efficient and kind. However, the food was not great; It tasted old. They made my husband a mango lassi with no sugar, but they did remake it. They were having a quinceanera there at the time, so that might be why the food was old. I believe they might've gotten it from the buffet from the party - which is kind of gross. So, bottom line there are so many other Indian restaurants in the area, I would rather try them than go back there. read more

After a long time, I had really nice Punjabi food in Riverside CA. @IEYELP if you are reading this definitely do a Yelp event at this location, our Elite crowd will love it. I feel if a restaurant is good in a specific type of cuisine then they should stick with it and scale their business accordingly instead of offering cuisine from every part of India and not being exclusive in any dishes. Hence the 4 stars. But their Punjabi Northern Indian cuisine is I would say! the best in the entire Riverside County. I have been to several Indian restaurants but this food was exceptional. Do visit them. Most of all they don't have a traditional name for their restaurant. They have a very unique name, 5 Rivers. It means that there are 5 major Rivers of India and they all meet at one place which is at this restaurant. So the owner created this name with a very thoughtful mind and not giving a very generic name to a Indian Restaurant in America. As I said they have an extensive menu but order their Northern Indian and you won't be disappointed. The owner and the customer service is good. The food is phenomenal. There are no words to describe how delicious the food is at 5 Rivers and how welcoming every single staff member is as soon as you walk through the (beautiful) doors! I've been wanting to come here for dinner as soon as I heard an Indian restaurant opened in Riverside and my expectations were exceeded by far. Every single dish I tried - gobi manchurian, dahi vada, the classic chicken masala, shahi paneer - had a unique flavor profile that made each dish different from the rest. The chef here is absolutely amazing at what he does and as an Indian who has eaten at countless Indian restaurants, I am so impressed with the quality and flavor of the dishes. My favorites were the gobi manchurian appetizer and the shahi paneer but you can't go wrong with ordering anything on this extensive menu. I came here for lunch and had the Lamb Tikka Masala with garlic Naan.... Omg...the flavors just took me out to there country. I've been to a few Indian restaurants and have not been as authentic as 5 Rivers cuisine. They also have a buffet option if you'd like to to try other dishes to get familiarized with they're delicious food from the South and North side. They have great space and customer service. Wonderful new Indian spot in Riverside and much needed! Was pleasantly surprised! Lunch buffet special didn't disappoint, lots to choose from. Today was my First time here. I tried the Samosa and the Paneer Butter Masala All I can say is, I was not disappointed. The Samosa was crispy and cooked just right and the potatoes inside with the herbs where delicious. Mixed with the dipping sauces it was fantastic. Then I had the Paneer butter Masala.( Medium Spice) Let me tell you. It was creamy full of flavor with the Masala flavor that is world renowned and the cheese was cooked to perfection. I know most people aren't familiar with Indian food but trust me when I say they don't skimp on ingredients here.. the garlic naan bread smells so good I wished they bottled it at as a scent for my house. We were in Riverside to run some errands and decided to get some Indian food. The good reviews of 5 Rivers brought us there. This might have been the best Indian food we've ever had. The wait staff and cooks were so helpful and welcoming. We started off with a couple Taj Mahal lagers, which were light and refreshing. For an appetizer we had the Samosas, they were light and crispy with wonderfully seasoned veggie filling. For our entrees we ordered Chicken Korma, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, Vegetable Biryani and some garlic Naan. The food was prepared perfectly, and the portions were extremely generous. The Chicken meat dishes were super tender, and the flavors were through the roof. The Rice and Naan were both outstanding. I could go on and on about our experience. Was visiting CA and friend's family and mine went to this totally new, 1st time ever 5 River Indian Cuisine. Welcoming place, large, really cool looking, spacious and clean. We were 13 people including 5 kids. Arranged the table right away, and were provided menu. We ordered A LOTS of food... I will be honest here, Methi Chaman Malai was OK, but rest of the food was simply superb. We got there around 8pm and were done by 10:30pm. Their place was closed at 10:00pm,but they never told us nor hinted us in anyway to leave. Food was cooked really good, high light was the Panner Masala... OMG! So delicious... Everything was cooked fresh, could tell by the taste of it. Kids were super happy and so were the adults! I would recommend this place to my friends and family. Check them out! read more

This place was suggested by my wife's coworker. We are so happy we went. Some of the most flavorful food we have tasted. The tandoori chicken was so moist, the butter chicken is the best around. The stand out dish is the mixed grill platter, which k is a little bit of every meat, including lamb chops and shrimp. Great selection of Indian beers. I took a peek at the menu there were food from the North and South of Indian! We ordered chicken Tikka with masla sauce, chicken curry,garlic nan and boneless chicken biryani. The food took a bit longer I can hear them making it to ordered! The curry was perfect so was the chicken Tikka! The garlic nan was so good. The biryani was good I'm just not use to the dish being on the sweeter side. All of the spices were medium. Just wish that they had asked me I would have loved it to be spicier. We got the lamb chops, samosas (the turmeric sauce and mint chutney sauce are so great!), chicken tikka masala, lamb masala, pistachio and saffron ice cream, garlic naan, Khata Metha Baigen, and white rice. All of it was absolutely fantastic. The Khata was surprisingly sweet and the chicken tikka masala was delicious. The service was exceptional, they were extremely nice and even got us a candle and 3 ice creams to celebrate my mom's birthday. Ordered take out (2) butter chicken and (2) garlic naan which came with complimentary rice. First off $80 is pretty much nevertheless tried to have an open mind. Found a hair in one of the butter chicken containers was right there when we opened it , there was also another hair in the rice! I've never had bland Indian food until now the butter chicken had no flavor at all, rice was rice, the naan bread was not good either no garlic. Very very disappointing slightly became depressed while eating it not gonna lie was really excited to try this place out, never again. read more
