I had the chili relleno filled with shrimp for dinner. It was amazing! Great flavor and a large size. The salsa was chunky enough to stay or a chip but not too chunky and just spicy enough. The additional salsas served with dinner were a nice addition. The tortillas were warm and another great addition. The second day I had the lunch buffet. I had been avoiding this place due to reviews, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I went for happy hour and it did not disappoint. They have great specials. The staff was friendly and prompt. Place looks nice on the outside, but the food on the inside is alright at best. Ordered a Queso Flameado to start - They brought it out, but didn't light it on fire like most places do and they didn't mix it either...it was decent though. Ordered the "Fajita" Plate for One - As you can see it was more of a Vegetarian Plate of Bell Pepper & Onions with a sprinkling of Fajita...I'd say it was a 70/30 Mix. Beans were on point, Rice was okay, and the tortillas were solid. It wasn't 1 Star bad, but anything over a 2 would be too generous based on other Tex Mex places in town. read more

Nive ambiance good drinks nice place to hang out on the patio at night but food NOT good.

1. Food is okay. Not great. Not amazing. You could get the same quality at Mama Margie's or Las Palapas but not as expensive. Cheese enchiladas should not be $13. 2. Nickle and dime ya'! Don't ask for them to sing you happy birthday unless you're okay with paying $4 for the sparkler. Same with the flight of shots. We didn't ask for a flight, just the shots, but they brought out our shots with a sparkler and charged for the sparkler. If you pay with a card, be prepared to pay extra for a "non cash adjustment". Shady. 3. Loud AF. Be ready to get your eat drums blown out. I didn't mind the high volume of their drum beats during the birthday songs but just know it's freaking loud 4. Don't order their margarita with the beer bottle in it. The margarita sucks. Their micheladas are just okay. Their drinks are not strong. You're paying for the nonsense with a touch of the alcohol. Their Mexican Candy shot was real tasty but light on the tequila. It's also $8 so perhaps pass on it. 5. It's festive for sure. Karaoke, tons of televisions, lots of drink options. If you're okay with the aforementioned info. then you might linger it a bit for a night out. I'm sure there are better places to go. 6. All in all I would say that one could do better at a different restaurant. Don't order mixed drinks and review your bill carefully. Better yet, just don't go. Sat at the bar on a Sunday evening, and I was basically ignored. Slow service and not attentive in the least. My water was refilled once, and I waited another 15 minutes for my bill after I was finished because there was no one behind the bar. Lots of staff, but many were just standing around. No one asked how the food was, if I ever needed anything else, etc. Service overall was severely lacking. La tradicional (house margarita) tasted just like a nasty margarita mix. Walking up to the entrance there again an over flow of customers waiting outside, yet outdoor sitting widely available. Surprisingly we were sitted quickly; but our servicer/waiter took awhile to come over and acknowledge our presence. We ordered a beer and a Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita, beer very good and drink was very refeshing. Decided on an appetizer sampler and it was ok/good. I joined my girlfriend for happy hour. I give it 2 stars for a few reasons...1) the appetizers were just ok. We ordered the stuffed jalapeños and ceviche. The ceviche was not the greatest and probably at the bottom of my ceviche list. The stuffed jalapeños were average. 2) The drinks were not that great. I had the Mexican martini and my friend had a frozen margarita. The martini looked watery and had no taste. I felt like the bartender was not very experienced and I do not think this is any fault of his own. I think management should be aware of who they put behind the bar or provide better training. I personally think it's 1 star experience but I have is 2 because the staff was friendly. Customer service goes a long way for me and deserves its own star. I do not recommend and know there are way better happy hour places in that area with Mexican food and drinks. Cheers! read more

Great Mexican restaurant, very authentic. The drinks were amazing, everyone was very kind, and they even had karaoke! I ordered the mini tacos both times I went and I enjoyed both times a lot. The prices are a little bit higher, but it's so worth it. Everyone there is very nice and helpful. I'm definitely coming back! read more

We go there often, regularly... the food has been good no complaints. The service is sometimes is disappointing but good most of the time. Today it was ok, could've ben better but that's another story. One piece of advice I would give everyone is, check your bill. It's happened more than once. If you pay with a card you are going to be charged a convenience fee, its not much but if you're paying with cash pay attention. I paid with cash today and found that fee on my bill. When I went up to the manager and showed him the charge he had no expression. Almost felt like I was bothering him, but I got my money back. The only thing I can say.is what a great place.after I been out of town on business.i decided to return to grand tequila.i kept thinking of the large plates and great food as I remembered.and of course they came through with flying colors.portions were not only large and dressed beautifully on our plates.but the taste and texture were out of this world.the servers were dressed so professionally with their attire.and attended to everyone as a friend and not a customer.i especially liked the owner walking around and directing.making sure everyone and everything ran like clock work.the specials are great and the live bar have drinks that would take you to another country.people were laughing joking and happy.this is the place to be.great job grand tequila. read more

We ordered a parrillada and everyone ate to their heart's content. I don't remember thinking it was the best parrillada I'd ever had, but the fajitas were good enough to make it some place to return to eventually. Eventually came today. I asked for fajita tacos and got carne asada in corn tortillas that were completely drenched in oil--not fried--just swimming in a pool of oil. The asada was tough and lacking flavor, the tortillas were . . . swimming in a pool of oil. The rice was okay, but who cares when everything else is such a disappointment? The saving grace on the plate was the lettuce and tomato, which tried its very best to cut the grease. I didn't have the heart to taste the refried beans. My stomach was too upset to go any further. Not even my dad who licks the caldo bowl clean finished his meal. He didn't even get halfway before citing that he was super full. Full on broth? Sure, Dad. Sure . . . Our server was very sweet and especially kind to my parents. Kindness is important to me and that's the reason I'm giving Grand Tequila two stars--that and the salsa, which worked very hard to carry the restaurant on its back. Well hello there! We went back. I am SO MAD at myself for not taking pictures. We were hungry and decided to order the same plates we had last time. Chile Relleno w/cheese enchilada and Carnitas Michoacán. We also tried the watermelon margarita. My Chile Relleno didn't look anything like my last plate. It had more of a salsa on top and a layer of white cheese. The enchilada wasn't even coated completely with sauce. That too had a layer of what looked like salsa and some cheese on top. My hunny said the carnitas were a bit crunchy. He thought they left it on the cook top a little too long. Our waiter was such a sweetheart. Very nice and attentive gentleman. I will start out by saying I was leery of coming here, and really not sure why. I brought the family on a Saturday night at 6:00pm. By the looks of the parking lot I expected a wait but we were seated right away. The interior was very nicely decorated and the vibe was comfortable. They had a number of parties going on in the other room which added a bit of noise, but nothing overbearing. The first thing I noticed was that they have happy hour every day from 2-7. Note: EVERY DAY! Many places only do that on week days, but this was a very welcomed change. I ordered a happy hour margarita which was $3.49. I did not expect much but I have to say it was delicious. As a self proclaimed tequila snob I usually expect bottom of the barrel in a house margarita but this was smooth. The mix was not overly sweet and it went down very nicely. In fact, I got a second :) My daughter and grandson shared the Grand Quesadilla and they had left overs to take home. Great portions for sure. I had the Puffy Taco plate. Although it had good flavor, the ground beef seemed overly greasy and made the puffyness more like soggyness. The service was very good. I think Ivone was a great server and kept checking on us. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because when I got the check something seemed off. Not with the total, but with the "May we suggest" tip on the bottom. I have attached a photo. Bottom line is - Check your math. The receipt is lying to you. My meal came to $29.19 after tax and the receipt suggested $6.74 as a 20% tip. After pulling out my handy dandy calculator and 20% of $29.19 is $5.84. Look at the receipt I posted and see for yourselves. I don't know if this was a glitch or a shady way for their servers to get more tips. Highly recommend, but check your own math. read more

We decided to have afternoon cocktails and landed here. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a Mexican latin decor, and the bar even though it's not very large Is nice. Our waiter was very attentive and did not judge our decision to drink a little early in the day. I had a Mojito and my husband had a margarita on the rocks. Both drinks were refreshing and very tasty. They gave us complementary fideo soup , chips and salsa. This was enough for me but we decided to have the ceviche appetizer. I'm glad we did because it was very very good. I am very picky about my fish If it has a strong fish taste I do not like it . The ceviche was perfect. It was white fish, poco de Gallo and lime, with some complimentary saltines. The staff was very pleasant and friendly, the restaurant was very clean with Latin music playing in the background and the atmosphere was very upbeat. The rice was try to the bone and was so plane that I had to put salt on it to eat it, and the beans tasted like some canned stuff from the store and to add to that, I had to put salt on it to eat it. The food was good. I have no complaints there. Our server was either not in a good mood, or just not the type of person who should be in food service. He was rude from the start and not attentive during our meal. That also, is not my main issue. We were fortunate enough to be sat opposite the end of the bar. I noticed a rolling cart full of used, dirty bar glasses. Then we noticed that the bartender was grabbing glasses from this cart and literally just rinsing them for 5-10 seconds. He would then put them on the bar to pour new drinks. I'm no bartender and don't know the exact way to wash a glass in a restaurant, but I do know that when we are in the middle of a deadly, global pandemic, you'd expect a restaurant to wash their bar glasses either with steam or very hot, soapy water and much longer than 10 seconds. Service was quick and the beef fajita taco I ordered was very delicious. That being said, I ordered a margarita on the rocks, peach flavored. The server asked what size I wanted, and then rattled off a bunch of numbers rather quickly. One option was 16oz....at least that's what I, and my friends, understood. I was assuming I'd receive a pint glass or similar size...last time I checked a pint was 16oz. He came back with a much bigger margarita, also it was frozen, not on the rocks. Long story short I received my bill and was quite shocked to find out that margarita was just shy of $50!!!
