Cute little place for happy hour. The food was okay. I would definitely come back, but would be my first choice to be honest.

Cute spot with a nice casual brunch vibe. There is a patio and a second floor which is super cute and unique. Food was good but not great and for $9 I was hoping to get a bit more avocado than the thin layer I got. Decent portion sizes though and everything was beautifully plated, just a bit pricey in my opinion. This is a great place to come with friends and have a fun brunch and wander Grandview, but try to Uber or be prepared to walk because parking is non existent. I drove around the block like three times trying to get a spot and ended up having to walk a ways. Overall I had a decent experience, but I'm not over the moon. However, that being said, $25 for bottomless mimosas... There is a reason their sign out front says "have a boozy brunch." Lol read more

We tried to attend the trivia night here WITH RESERVATIONS, but were told that we didn't actually get a reservation when we arrived. On top of that, several parties before us had expressed the same issue and were let inside anyway. The young woman working the door had to run up and down the stairs several times to look at the tables to determine who got let up, even though we all made reservations. The real kicker is that they started telling people to go to the sister bar. However, some of the staff openly stated that they would not go to the sister bar because it was bad and the trivia night there was worse. That isn't encouraging. Management needs to have a better system or stop hosting events that they cannot handle. On other visits, the food has been okay, but certainly not the best. Given the poor service, we will not be returning and will not recommend that our friends schedule their trivia nights. read more

Sat at the bar since it was such a nice spring day. Folding windows were open, and the patio seating was getting good use, too. I didn't go upstairs, which has more seating (not sure how much...). I got the Blackened Chicken Wrap with a side of sweet potato fries ($10+$4). The small tray and bucket the sandwich and fries are served on/in are cute. A neat touch from the boring plate or basket option. The Wrap was solid. A decent amount of fresh hot chicken and all the components. Nicely - tightly - wrapped up so not much dripping or overage coming out at the seems. The fires weren't bad, had a slight sweet taste from the potato. Definitely not your frozen grocery store ones. A solid entree. Just observing and people watching from the bar, staff didn't seem to offer much communication, other than the typical what can I get you and here's your check. This place does skew toward the younger crowd, so maybe that's their MO? Siting solo at the bar, there's a few big TVs on each side, so I was content watching the tournament pregame show while filling up. I'd come back, probably not solo (there's too many places I'm dying to try before they disappear to the wind), but if friends were meeting here, I'd be glad to return. read more

Very disappointed. We're obviously understaffed which I can give Grace for. However, the food was disappointing in itself and certainly disappointing with the cost. A very skimpy salad that had minimal dressing. I was charged $.75 to get more dressing. We both got salmon on our salad. My salmon was half the size of my friends pieces, salmon. I will pay that price for a salad that is more than what I could put together at home. read more

I stopped by the Grandview Cafe, which is a large bar and restaurant in downtown Grandview. Parking was a bit iffy, since the place was packed on a Wednesday evening. I was quoted a 25 minutes wait for 2, but we were seated at the bar within 15 minutes. Grandview Cafe offers happy hour deals and nightly specials, but we had missed the cutoff. Their bar offers a range of cocktails and craft beers so everyone is likely to find something pleasing. I wasn't particularly famished, so I simply went for the turkey club ($10, sides extra). The turkey, bread, and lettuce were fresh and the sandwich was alright. The menu described the sandwich as containing avocado, but I didn't find any and wasn't in a complaining mood. Overall, the food was acceptable, and the others in my party was happy with his too. Service was fast and friendly and I would be open to trying more of their menu. read more

The atmosphere at Grandview Cafe is always bumping. They have a newly renovated beautiful patio that is almost always full with Grandview locals enjoying drinks and a meal together. The atmosphere is about the only reason to go here IMO (if you can even get in, not taking reservations makes it almost impossible during COVID restrictions). Service is OK, last time I went with a group of around 8 people and were given the impression we were severely inconveniencing our server every time we put in a drink order. One server spilled my beer on my phone while they were putting it down and actually said "Oh f***, sorry" and quickly walked away without bringing back any napkins or anything. Interesting. Menu isn't too big and nothing ever really catches my eye as sounding great. Maybe I'm too picky. The Grandview burger is usually my go to. read more

We came here for restaurant week and were pumped to arrive since we haven't eaten at this establishment. The entrance is a bit confusing as there was no one at the patio stand to let us in so we walked around to the front of the building, the sign said go back to the patio. No one one was there again so we waited about 7 minutes for someone to arrive. We had made a reservation so we were ushered into the bar area for seating. Really nice place inside and the bar was setup great, lots of screens and a ton of sports. I ended up getting the wings since I saw them on Instagram and they were amazing! Super crunchy on the outside and cooked well on the inside. The white bbq was a unique flavor and I would definitely get them again. The mussels were cooked well but a little sandy - could have used a bit more time to clean up before cooking. The fries were shoestring so obviously they were my favorite! The breading on the pickle Spears were super unique and I would definitely get them as well! We will be back to sample the rest of the menu for sure. read more

I had my engagement party here and it was effortless. They food was 10/10 and the staff was amazing. They even let us stay a little bit over the time slot to finish our drinks. Food & service was great! Beware coming into the front door. My wife tripped on the threshold. Sitting close to the door I witnessed many people doing the same. I mentioned to our server and she stated the Owner has been notified several times of this safety hazard. All it would take is a warning sign or to paint the step yellow. Now I will put this disclaimer, the pictures I posted were from their restaurant week menu but their diner burger that is on their regular menu is similar and that burger is amazing. One of my favorite burgers in Columbus to be honest. Everything was fantastic. The buffalo chicken dip was great!! The brownie was the only thing a little disappointing. It could've been a little warmer. In addition to restaurant week, I got two draft beers during their happy hour special. Their drafts are $2 off their $6 beers and $1 off their $4 beers. Their parking is very minimal. They have public parking throughout grandview and along grandview Avenue but it is very hard to get so ubering is your best bet. I love this restaurant I'll definitely be back! read more

We just left. Never again. I can only attest to brunch.... Absolutely terrible. It took 70 mins to get our brunch food, and 40 mins for us to get a coffee and juice (after going up to the waitress and asking). Service was bad, and totally unapologetic about the lack of attention and delays in food. Food came out wrong. Fruit was so old it was questionably inedible and had chunks of goat cheese (I hope!?) mixed in. Gross all around. People who know me know I love patios. This place has 2 patios. So obviously it's one of my favorite places! My favorite of the 2 patios is on the second floor and offers a nice view down Grandview Ave. The food here has been good as well. The stand outs on the menu for me have been the GC Burger, Veggie Sandwich, and skillet chocolate chip cookie. However, I did find the extremely thin pizza to be underwhelming. All in all this is definitely a cool hang out place! read more

Got there at 11am for lunch and ate outside...it was so lovely! They have many gluten-free options which was HEAVENLY! The food at Grandview Cafe is consistently very good if not a bit pricier than what you may pay for the same meal somewhere else. Their GC Burger may be my favorite burger this side of Thurman's. It tastes like what you remember a great McDonald's happy meal burger tasted like. And that's a compliment! Even friends from out of town want the GC burger every time they visit. They have a variety of beers and cocktails to choose from. You can catch pretty much any big sporting event on their numerous TVs. Depending on the time of day you go to Grandview Cafe you may deal with a rowdier crowd but nothing that ever gets out of hand or becomes intrusive to your time there. Grandview Cafe has ample patio space, a big U shaped bar and both upstairs and downstairs seating. We've never had a bad thing to eat or drink here. Always consistently good food, drinks, and service. The staff are friendly and always have recommendations. They're a good spot for larger groups, as they have a large apps menu. They also have a pretty good selection of craft bar drinks as well as beers and wines. Deciding to visit Grandview Cafe for some after dinner drinks, and to enjoy the upstairs seating. Sadly the upper level was closed for a private party that night. So I decided to partake in their outdoor seating on the ground level. The cocktail I tried was not very good. It was hard to finish. Even though I wasn't there for the food I took a peek at the menu. The menu looked delicious. I would go back to try some of their food options, and hopefully enjoy the balcony views of Grandview. read more

I have visited Grandview Cafe a few times. It's located conveniently at the corner of 3rd and Grandview Ave, and thus it is busy most of the time. Especially on warm days, as it has a large patio and hybrid indoor/outdoor seating at the indoor bar. The crowd leans a bit younger, and the music is a little louder as a result. I did like the choice of music, but if you aren't ready for it, it can be a bit much. I have ordered the same drink a couple of times now because it's amazing-- the pineapple cinnamon margarita. It has a pineapple margarita bite with a cinnamon finish. I don't usually like sweeter cocktails, but this one is an exception. For food, I have mostly ordered apps. Each one I have had has been delicious. The chorizo mussels with shoestring fries were fresh, and the sauce was tasty. My only main complaint there was that I feel it should come with more fries in proportion to the amount of mussels and sauce. The wings are particularly good. We ordered them dry and they came out breaded like southern fried chicken. I would advise ordering bleu cheese or ranch if you like it, as it does not come standard. The spinach and artichoke dip was also delicious. When it came out, it was hot and a little thinner, but the next day I actually ate it cold and it was almost better. The flavor was good, not too salty, and plenty of artichoke hearts. I would go back for any of the above menu items, and I look forward to exploring some of the other options. read more

Solid takeout experience at Grandview Cafe. I have really been missing the diner burger (and if you haven't had it, you should). You can either call them or stop by their open window to place an order. I called during lunch time over the weekend and my order was ready in about 10 minutes. They also took my credit card info over the phone and all I had to do when I got there was sign and leave a tip. It was pretty much contactless and super easy. If I lived closer I would definitely order more, but I'm thankful I got my burger fix while I was in the area :) read more

If you want a place to just go somewhere, this is that place. It's a cafe, and it's in Grandview. Like no extra perks, nothing stellar. Just a solid, average establishment. However, their patio would be nice in warmer months. I ordered the BLT Benedict and was whelmed by it. It was over cooked, but tasted okay. So not bad, but not great. Service was...interesting. The bartender was quick for service but had a negative attitude toward everything. Bad day? Overall, I'd go back if people wanted to meet there, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. I'd given it 2 stars, but the atmosphere is nice and would good to crack some cold ones with the boys. Also pictured: Irish coffee. Update: Went back with a friend a received a different experience. Went during the week on a Tuesday night for dinner and it was seat yourself and had good service. We're crew fans and we were able to catch a game during the regular season a few weeks back. A classic establishment in the Grandview area, I have been for dinner but I had never been for brunch. A few friends were in town so we decided to check it out. We were able to be seated on a Sunday ~10:30am with 7 people with no wait at all so that was awesome. The inside is really decorated well and had a nice atmosphere. The server was attentive. We all ordered at the same time but my order (cinnamon rolls) came out about 10 minutes before everyone else's. Which was odd as then I did the awkward dance of deciding whether to eat my food while hot or wait but the cinnamon rolls were fantastic! The rest of our order was just ok. The breakfast burrito had good flavor but was quite greasy and the breakfast potatoes needed a bit more time in the oven. The chicken and biscuit was flavorful. The other thing that was odd and maybe it was a Covid related requirement but they had the inside fans going full blast so we were all a bit cold sitting at our table. Overall it was a good experience and I was really happy they were able to seat such a large group with no wait or no reservation. read more

Came on a Thursday during the NFL Thursday night game. Got to GVC at 9:50PM and came for food and drinks. The entire bar was full and I always thought that the kitchen closed at 10PM and we were told that the kitchen had just closed. We honestly came to eat while watching the game.
